Every time I come to this store, I find some GEMS. I went for the Labor Day half off sale and spent about $50 or $60 and got so many good things. Im a huge fan of vintage and they had a good amount of it. All for half off! Great store.

Love the place. It was half off yesterday. I got all of this for $110.... It looks and feels like a Thrift store but it is super organized and easy to find items.

The stuff is over priced. This store says for the poor and that’s just a joke. This store gets stuff and free and changes out rages numbers. Hard to find something to buy ,I only go in cause once in a blue moon I find something not overpriced. I’ll see you guys at goodwill where all walks of life can enjoy the sore.

Expensive. I went in there all the time and got great deals, but in the last year, maybe twice. Everything is so expensive. Some little stuffed animals 5.98, used coloring books from Dollar General 1.98. I will not go back. I went for a bargain, not a rip off.

Wow 🤩 this thrift store is amazing! They carry name brands at decent prices and also have clothes without tears or stains and every shirt is $5.99 like at goodwill. This is definitely going to become my new favorite and only thrift store I shop at in Clarksville. 🥰🥰🥰

Taylor has the worst customer service skills ever, I tried being polite to her and she just barked orders the whole time, I can read the prompts on the machine theres no reason to act that way. If you hate your job so much just leave

This place used to be a great place to shop but it is going downhill FAST. I have tried twice to make an exchange and only the manager can do it and both times she has been on a confetence call for hours! They no longer have dressing rooms so if you need to return/ exchange clothing, you have 14 days. I am done, I will donate the pants and never shop her again. The staff is not helpful and the manager is never available.

It was a pretty average thrift store. There wasnt much that sat it apart from Goodwill except for quality on a couple fronts. It also smelled heavily of cigarette smoke throughout the store, which may not matter to some but may to others. Overall it wasnt bad, but nothing that would draw me back anytime soon.

This is a sizeable store but its really overpriced. Much better deals can be found at Goodwill. I walked out empty handed.

Purchased an otherwise very expensive blouse for $6.94. Prices have gone up , so has everything else. Nice customer service. Place was clean.

Would have given 5 stars, but it is starting to go towards less of a thrift store, and more of a resale shop of second hand goods. The deals are fewer and further between. Fourth time we have noticed this at this shop, second time in a row where it was significantly more difficult to find bargains.However, they had a Black Oak Arkansas LP, and some great psychobilly 45 rpm records, a great selection of jewelry, yet the real finds were outrageously overpriced, even for fair market value ($100 watch at $250).Grateful, always for thrift shops like this one, and sad to see it losing its edge on treasures at realistic prices.

Only because I couldnt give it a 0..the prices are ridiculous...books 8-10 dollars..clothes were still super high even with 50 % off..everything was super high..I thought it was a thrift store..can buy new cheaper. What a joke..

Lot of stuff for a low price better than good will

I would have at one time given this place 5 stars, friendly staff, helpful and the prices were as a thrift store should be. They are given products from people free of charge and resell them....pretty much ran like that at all thrift shops. My issue is this, came in on one of my routine visits because Im always looking for a good deal,on something I can and will use. I have recently noticed the prices are becoming ridiculous. I know goodwill has nothing to do with City thrift, but I have pretty much stopped shopping there because their prices are outrageous now and its like going to a retail store for most products. I know they have to pay employees and rent and all that stuff to keep the store running But they are getting items constantly, so there in no danger of not being able to do that. But when Im seeing electronics that are being sold at an outrageous price and other items that I can buy brand new at the same price range we have a problem. And not only that, selling a game system for a lot of money with just a power cord ( this is not the only item or items Im seeing over priced, this was just my tipping point)saying it turned on and showed the lights on did not mean it works. Been there done that and wont do it again. Store credit is all your given if you the something home and it does not work makes it even more crazy. I dont make a lot of money, so its nice to have thrift stores to be able to turn to. But now Im better off just buying somewhere else. But, I Gave them 3 stars because I still like their kind employees and they are helpful and they still will try and do what they can..but after today I will probably not be shopping here anymore either. I know losing one shopper does not hurt but I wanted to express my displeasure with the pricing of used items at this store now and make others aware when reading these reviews. This place is good for about everything. My grandchildren love going in with me because of the many toys. Very reasonable prices and very friendly staff.

I have shopped here for years and usually find awesome things but in the last year the prices have risen so dramatically. I prefer to go to Goodwill now where the pricing is consistent and based on category, not brand. Also not cool that you stopped allowing returns.

How can you go from kids clothes being like 1.99 a shirt and then change the prices to 6.99 for a kids shirt during a pandemic? Im just curious how that helps people, especially when the shirt is stained and the only reason it is 6.99 because it says under armour. Seems pretty sad that low income familys cant even find decent clothes for their kids without having to decide if they want to spend hundreds on clothes or put food in the house.

Used to be a great place to find a treasure. Left empty handed because everything is ridiculously overpriced. $16.91 for a used pair of jeans???(Levis). Better to price normally and sell more, than to shoot for the stars and sell nothing. So disappointing.

It is a great place to get a bargain, but due to covid whatever you buy you can not return if it does not fit. That was the only downside to my visit.

City thrift is one of the best thirft store in Clarksville. The merchandise is a little higher quality than most of the others in town. The only down side is that you pay a little more unless you go on a discount day or buy an item with a discount tag.

They have some really good clothes some of the prices are a little bit high but their clothing is really good quality

Love this store! With their prices and selection you can update your wardrobe every month on a budget. I just got a dress, two pairs of slacks and four sweaters for $42 with tax!

Good varity of gently used stuff vintage and new such as home decar furniture kitchen supplies sporting good head to toe apereal any thing u may want or need they will probably have it at one point but on the down side things are all donations i do believe for the most part they have it way to high for being donations for about a week or so causing a disavantage to the people not able to go buy designer jeans brand new most timd the ones that can go buy them new get them before they go on sale that is my only complant and u cant try them on and the dont except returns i think it can do a better job getting it to the people who need it and there always throwing away stiff that could help someone else after all it is all donations i givd them a 3.3 for that reason alone people ought to see if they run ad so it goes to good use not making some one rich or throwing it away then arresting people if they get it out the dumpster

Prices are way too high now. They used to be lower. $10-$12 for the decent shoes even if they are Walmart brand. They dont even cost that much brand new! Even if it is 50% off during a sale thats still too much for a used pair of shoes that cost between $9-$10 brand new. Used to you could go in there and name brand shoes were priced around $10 a pair. Walmart and Target brand around $5 a pair. Obviously they have a new person doing the pricing and its pretty ridiculous.

They have so much better deals and clothing then goodwill and the condition of the clothing is definitely more worth your dollar and they also have a nice selection of purses, jewelry , books & more! Every time I go they are always so friendly and more then willing to assist you without any complaints or frustration. Never buy new!! This is a wonderful place to shop. Its well organized and easy to find cute clothes, shoes, various household items, furniture, etc. The prices way better than Goodwill.

I visited this store yesterday and this young man went above and beyond to give me and everyone shopping the upmost BEST shopping experience EVER! He is so dedicated to helping people all with a smile that will make you just melt... Its a good clean store a little pricey on some stuff,I think they need to check the elec stuff before its put up for sale

The thrift store itself is great, you can find a lot of cool, unique items. But I simply can not let it fly by how rude one of the employees has been to me every time I go in there. She goes out of her way to be rude for absolutely no reason and it makes me question if I should even go back there anymore. Something should really be done about her.

New manager has spiked prices. I used to come for the .99 cent baby onesies & now they’re at least $3/a piece. Might as well go to Walmart for the garanimals $2.50 clothing for new. I also now just go to Ross down the street & get things new at a cheaper price as oppose to an old Walmart sweater priced at $8-$10. I used to be an employee, and $2.98 was the cap on especially Walmart brand clothing all around. I have a feeling they’re going out of business so they’re spiking prices, eliminating their 50% off sale days, & trashed the .99 cent Monday’s to save on expenses of the company. Wouldn’t recommend shopping here anymore.

They need to remember people donate that stuff for free not for City Thrift to double charge thats the only thing that turns me against that place

Due to dressing rooms being closed could not try on clothes. Asked what their return policy was. I was told to bring it back within 7 days with tag still on it and receipt. I returned the next day nd was told that they dont take returns. But they will do an exchange. I asked them what the difference is between me trying it on at home and exchanging it vs having been able to try it on in store. I was told they dont put it back on the rack. As I was leaving what did they do but put it back on the rack. Might as well open up the dressing rooms. It will not stop the spread not when everyone is touching the clothes while searching the racks, but to outright lie is wrong.

There seems to be a repetible problem going on. They had their dressing rooms clothes due to covid, which I understand. However, I was told by one of the workers, that I have within 7 days to come back to return any unwanted items if they do not fit. I did just that, and they would not give me my money back! $20 worth of items! Why are their employees spreading false statements to customs?? Isn’t the customer always right?

I moved here a couple years ago and found out about this place this past year. I LOVE City Thrift. I always find something cool at a really low awesome price. I buy kids toys, house stuff, books, clothes. You name it. They have it. Ive got some really cool stuff here. Ive been there about 5 times in the past few months. Sometimes I go more than once a week. LOVE CITY THRIFT.

I would check clothes for holes but it is a second hand store. Ill be back cause I got some really cute shorts for $2

Store itself is great!! Great selection of all types of clothing! Only thing that is an issue is Jessica, the store supervisor. She likes to cuss her employees out. Either in person or through text. If you have any loved ones who work with her, check on them please and make sure she is not verbally cussing them out

Well established but sizes were jumbled up. Fair prices but check clothes over very carefully before selecting due to obvious wear and tear. No return policy-only exchange within 7 days of purchase . Needs more parking and hours of operation are phenomenal 7 days a week! Lots of possibilities in a huge building! Check it out!!

Not real crowded, everyone was wearing facemasks and there were reminders for everyone to shop safely.

This place is just filthy. If they would clean the store every once in awhile, it might be worth visiting again. If this is how they keep their store, I can only imagine how they treat the clothes. Eeww

This is the best thrift store in Clarksville. Ive been to MANY and they do not compare to City Thrift. This store constantly has new items and I come here every week. Very friendly employees. Very good fleece waterproof winter jackets, oil paintings, business books, running shoes, all have come from here. I purchased a gold, gemstoned, and diamond bracelet and have received SO many compliments on it.

I go to this store every week. Sometimes, twice a week. Very good selection of all kinds of stuff for very good prices too. Well, that was a couple of weeks ago. Went today and the prices are crazy high. Way over high for how they used to be and for a thrift store. Simple and or basic men/women shoes for $35? Mostly for $20? (Rounded off prices) some are even higher! From what used to be $10 or less, you get a good name brand pair. Clothes are now like $5 or more for a simple tee from what used to be $3 or less. Its crazy! I feel like the owners have gone so greedy! Why bump up prices like that when all the stuff for sale there were donated for free?? I usually spend $100 or more but thats for A WHOLE LOT of different kinds of items. Now, I dont even know if Id like to still come and shop. This is sad!

Sold me an item that had corroded batteries inside and they dont do returns luckily it didnt cost but 5 dollars. Wont be back

Bought merchandise couldnt try it on told we could bring it back for a refund or exchange but when we did we got the runaround manger was really rude they wouldnt refund or exchange we will never go back there again worse store I was ever at will never go back there again

I work here and can tell you that this place has great stuff, from clothes to future. Everything is at good prices at most points, and there is a tag color that changes ever week and every Monday everything under $19.99 will be .99¢. But there is a couple of problems in this story, and that is that it does have a lot of dust everywhere. But I love it and I hop you will love it too. (⊙o⊙)

I wanted to change my review after seeing the owner so quickly trying to fix any issue I may have had with something . The fact that the owner takes great pride in keeping up the store and customers shows true character . I don’t feel he deserves anything less than 5 stars after immediately checking into the problem . I think I will just call the store with any issues next time and give them a chance before i write a review . I swear I can show the item but I truly believe you don’t take this lightly and will look into it . Thank you for caring .

We went on a 50% off day so it was busy which it was to be expected. Most of the thrift store is clothes. There are a limited number of carts on these sale days so I brought my 1 year old in a carrier. Overall, i was pretty satisfied. Most customers were stocking up on loads of clothes. The staff were friendly.

Lots of great clothes for nearly nothing. But, once you start to get to the larger or smaller sizes, there is very little selection. Also, in the larger and smaller sizes, there is a lot of miss matched sizes mixed in with them which makes it even harder to find the right size.It was cheap and they have plenty of other clothes. I will definitely be returning.

Used to be one of my favorite places. Prices are through the roof now though. If you havent been in a while, expect prices to be double or triple what it was a few months ago. This store has constant business, and in my opinion, has no justification charging retail for donated goods. Goodwill did the same thing in the last couple years and even they arent as overpriced as City Thrift is now.

The best thrift store in town. Tons of clothes. Discounts for different folks on different days. Thursdays are teachers and students. Other days discounts are for military or seniors.

Were always finding great deals here... and theyve recently remodeled. If you go on certain days you can actually get stuff $15 and lower for 99¢!!!

I LOVE THIS STORE. Anyone can find a GREAT deal on gently worn and even new condition clothing for a FRACTION of the cost. Not just main stream clothing but DESIGNER clothing as well.

I am so upset after getting in line at 855 I was told I could not buy the items I had shopped for. I had over $100 worth of stuff. I offered to leave a number, money, or whatever I needed to and was told sorry our registers turn off at 915. I am so disappointed in the customer service I recieived. I then asked could I please leave it up front and purchase at 900 in the morning. Once again I was told no. If you are in line before 900 why would you shut down and prevent sales.

Selection is great. But sometime you cant buy a lot of the items because they reek of cigarette. Some of the staff tend to have an attitude when it comes to helping people.

Love this place. The best place to go for second hand clothes. Always have a large selection and can always find something.
