The truck renting process was the easiest part of my move. I reserved the truck over the phone. I went in a day ahead to pick up some moving supplies.The associates helped me load my car with all the items. Returned the next day to rent the truck. You complete the checkout on your phone to confirm the mileage and gas. The link also lets you add pictures if you dont agree with whats shown. This is nice so youre not charged with any previous truck damages. When returning the associate completed the return on the tablet and I had my email receipt before leaving the parking lot. Helpful associates and easy process.

Reserved a truck over a week ago and paid for the guaranteed reservation. Got a call today that someone else extended their day and we would not have a truck available. The closest one available that was offered was over 100 miles away and the second offer was 92 miles away. I said I would not pay the nearly $200 charge that would come with driving a truck to and from Columbus because of their mistake and was told there was nothing they could do. Finally, they found one in sharonville available 6 hours after our original reservation. Spent an hour on the phone being disconnected and not even a discount offered. Nothing. So definitely dont waste your money on the guaranteed reservation and probably dont waste your money at all here. I definitely wont be back.

The customer service is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! I rented a truck to move to my new house from Mt Hethy to Hamilton, the truck died on the last night due to a weak battery. Then they called me before the schedule time they said they would, then they had me on hold for a minimum of 20mins each time I called, even if it was a direct store location. I literally took a shower and got dressed while being on hold,, then I tried to file it online to be faster but couldnt remember my password so I did the send verification code to reset the PW and I tried it 6 times to send in an email or text and it never even went through! There was one guy (Jon) that was very helpful through the issues so hes the only reason its a 2 star and not a 1. Not to mention they charge you 79 cents per mile! Which is absolutely ridiculous, never renting from Uhaul ever again. Solely because of how slow and poor the emergency/customer service was

Everyone here is VERY nice. On the day I went, I ended up having my apartment move in day canceled without warning. I brought it back after an hour without having used it at all. They refunded me in full, and were very kind!! Definitely going again!

Ive had a u-box being stored at this location for a couple of months now and it was planned to be shipped to Canada where Im moving to at the end of August. I set up this reservation months ago and everything looked to be in place and I thought I had all the information I needed and that I had paid all that I was supposed to. Well, after this I never got any kind of confirmation e-mail but just received a letter in the mail saying my rent was overdue for the month and they were charging me a late fee. The thing is, I never received any kind of notice that I had anything due in the first place so I had no way of knowing how or when to pay. So I called and got it cleared up. They set me up on an automatic pay system, but when the second month came around, they called and said my card was declined. So I had to call again and get that sorted out, but when I tried to get more information about my reservation and schedule shipment of my box the guy said he couldnt find my order....yet somehow he was able to take my money... So he got me to another lady who found my order but said that the shipment was cancelled, so I asked if I could reschedule it, she said she couldnt and would have to have another lady call me later that day because she wasnt in. Well I never got a call back. Basically the employees here are useless except for taking your money. However, they were all very nice, I have to give them that.I finally got things worked out through a u-haul employee who deals with international shipping (not at this location). She has been the only person to actually help and get things sorted out and fixed with my reservation. She told me that when I made the reservation they got my e-mail wrong, which explains why I never got any confirmation and never got any notices and probably why my shipment was cancelled and why nobody could ever look up my order without transferring me to ten different people.So Im really doubting the need for a ton of employees at this location who cant do much but take your money....but at least they tried to sound happy and nice on the phone!

The initial call in the morning had a fellow try to rent me a non existent unit, so upon arrival 8 hours later you could see I was miffed because driven 50 minutes with 3 movers to do the work .... wasted day ! Argh !,, but was more than made up by a superhelpful young man (name in car) awseome service/skills and knowledge... great guy ... promote him now

Called prior to going up here to pick up a two wheeled car dolly to tow my broken down car to the scrap yard. The person I talked to was nice, but I was told they had 3 available. I then asked if I needed a reservation to come pick it up in about an hour. I was told it wasnt needed and they would still have one. When I arrived, I was told they didnt have one because two were broken down and the one that was working had a reservation. Annoying, but whatever. I then asked if there were any other locations near that had one. They said they didnt know but have me numbers to two other locations. I was told the closest was on Hamilton avenue. Not bad I thought, so I called, made the reservation and went straight there to pick it up. I was then told there that I was at the wrong location. So the guy gave me the number to the one in Hamilton Ohio, not the one on Hamilton avenue. By that time it was already too late for me to make it there before they closed, so I was forced to call and cancel.Long story short, I was given the run around, the wrong number, and told wrong information multiple times. That resulted in me having to leave my broken down car on the side of the road until the next day. It could have been towed and I could have been really screwed. Luckily it wasnt, so I was able to get it taken care of the next day but really dont appreciate the run around I was given. I will not be returning to this location again, or any U-Haul for that matter. 👎

I needed to get a propane tank filled. Ive been here before and had good service. By the propane filling station they used to have a button to push and someone would come out and take care of you. This trip the button was gone. Didnt appear there were any customers I set my empty tank by The Filling Station and waited for several minutes. No one showed up so I went inside. Four employees on duty two were playing on their phones two were busy talking to each other. There were no customers inside. They asked what I needed and I told him I needed a propane tank filled. They told me to get my tank and go wait by The Filling Station, where I just come from and had been waiting for several minutes. Seems to me they could be a little more aware of their surroundings if for nothing else their personal safety and maybe even a little customer service.

The only reason that I offered a one star rating, is because I had to rate it. The customer service representatives are great, but the manager is terrible. I rented a vehicle on 11/3/15 and after I had all of my belongings loaded in the truck, it would not start. I waited two hours for road side assistance to arrive and jump the battery. It was 11 PM and my movers had already left. Not only did I pay them for hours not worked, but I had to pay them additional hours the next day due to the move not being completed. I took the truck up to U-haul the next morning and spoke with the manager and was advised that I could keep the truck an additional day and that I wouldnt be charged. Of course, I was charged when I received my bill. I tried to speak with the manager at the location and have not received a phone call, to this day from Ryan. After speaking to 5 different representatives, and being assured that I would received a phone call from Ryan, I never did. I finally called corporate on 11/25 and was advised to speak with someone in the presidency office. I left a message.. I DID NOT RECEIVED A CALL BACK. I still havent and its 12/17. U-haul sent me a bill via email stating that I owe over $100 and $30 of it was a late payment fee. I am furious with Ryans lack of management skills and how unprofessional this entire experience has been. TODAY, I called corporate back because U-haul has been pushing through random charge amounts on my credit card. One for $.83 and then another for $7.76. They already charged me $43.55 on 11/14. These amounts do not make sense. Either way it goes... communication is terrible!!! I will not use U-haul again, nor recommend them to anyone. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. All this happened right after I had lost my father, suddenly. I do not wish this experience on anyone.

The truck broke down and we called roadside assistance they took over an hour to come to our location. We went to the store and the guy called the owner and his phone was loud and asked did the customer look smart. The owner Gary Smith comes into the store says we probably left the lights on which we didnt and tries to cover up what he said as to make it seem like he was asking if I look truck smart. He was rude and I felt disrespected. I will never rent from them again. Very poor customer service experience, short staffed.

I have been with U-Haul Storage for about 2 years and I have never had a problem with my unit. The people in there and the ones to answer the phone are so pleasant and friendly and helpful I did look at other units before I decided to use U-Haul even though I could have gotten a cheaper storage unit but I just like the people who work there so helpful and pleasant. Has been worth the extra money for a storage unit

12/23/2018 went today to refill a propane tank.took the tank from the car and set it down on the ground A nice person came out and asked if i wanted to refill the tank i said yes She then took s picture of the tank end the date and the rectification sticker on the side next to the date she said some one would be coming.A older person came, and picked up the tank ,and said the tank was to old .I said that he did not see the sticker next to the date?he then asked what it saw. I told him it was inspected re qualification for an additional 5 years. he said NO he will not refill the tank I told him it is a federal container law. so here we are they have lost a good customer that been going there from when the store opened. just because someone does not know how to treat customers it is all good add one moor,and the list will go on. o i will stop later with the propane container filling laws and standards the safety reasons supporting accountability very unhappy thomas Weingartner

Horrible experience! ATTENTION Consumers, Dont waste your time doing an online reservation. They want you to go to the location that they have a truck no matter what. I made reservation 6 days out, conversed with 2 people prior to my pick up date and still never got the truck at the time I requested or the location I requested. This makes the consumer pay more $$ in mileage. The day prior, when I realized my original reservation could not be met, (by a text message they sent me). I had to scramble and hope that another location would have the truck I needed. So much for being organized & on time. And the kicker, no one at UHaul really cared that my original reservation wasnt being met. Its just the way they do things I wont be back!

I called the customer service number and received a quote for a hitch installation. A week later I went to the Northgate Uhaul location to order and pay for the hitch. The person I spoke with had a name badge on and I noticed the title stated he was the owner. He took my order but not my money and said they would call me in a few days when the hitch was in. He stated he does not make his customer pay until the job is complete. I waited for another week and called the store. I was told by the person on the phone they would have the general manager call me to schedule the install. I again received no call back. I called again a day later and was transferred to a customer service line. I was then told by customer service the general manager would call me by Monday. Its Tuesday and I have yet to receive a call from anyone. I just scheduled my hitch installation with a different company for the same price. I would not recommend this location unless you just want to get a run around.

Very friendly. They do try to help no doubt that. Storage is very clean and priced competitive. Resin not five star - Had a problem when I closed a storage unit after a year and kept getting charged month after month after it but after a few months everything was refunded without argument just needed to remind them a few times.

Absolutely hideous customer service. Went to purchase propane at this location, and the manager, Ashley, refused to come outside and sell me propane because it was sprinkling outside. She was simply too lazy to perform her job, and used the weather as an excuse to be slothful. They charge too much for it anyway, I only went here because I was running low and it was the weekend. Save yourself a headache and take care of your needs elsewhere.

Ryan is a great GM that charge me for extra mileage and wasnt a sticker on the gas I have moved 10 times in the past 3 years and I give so many different trucks companies but U-Haul was by far the best

We showed up to rent a 4x8 closed trailer but were told one was not available. We were told to call the national U-Haul phone line to get a reservation or substitution. If that was where the story ended I would have been very unhappy with the service. While my wife called the national line Colton asked if he could help me. I told him that another employee had tried to help us and that we were on hold with the U-Haul national reservation line. Colton commiserated with my situation and informed me that he would work on a reservation to see if he could price match. Colton was extremely helpful and personable and changed what would have been a 1 star experience into a 5 star experience.

Ive rented there a couple of times and had mixed results.Good:equipment always ready as contractedPrices reasonableVehicles perform as expectedBad:Vehicles usually smokey smellingUnfortunate fuel tank level issue explained below.Fuel tank was lower than contract said(about an 8th of a tank). Didnt notice until I was leaving and figured Id handle it with a gas receipt. So minutes prior to returning the truck I calculated (using their estimated mileage) how much gas I would need to replace. Fueled up that amount, plus about a half of a gallon just to be safe. Short story, clerk didnt care and tried to charge me for the fuel gage discrepancy. After some annoying discussion/argument the manager intervened and properly (imo) reduced the charge. I can appreciate what they must deal with every day, and ultimately its my fault for not returning immediately and fixing the fuel level. That being said, if youre going to stickler with the gas, then do it with every customer and not just randomly me. Just an unnecessary issue in an already busy moving day.

Terrible customer service. Made them aware that I was returning the rental to another location and when I tried to return the trailer to said location, I was told the rental cost would more than double and that I had to return it to the this location. when I called the location, they wouldnt let me speak to the guy that I rented the trailer from. I had to speak to someone in customer service who was not even at the location. Ive rented from other UHaul locations several times and I can assure you that I will NOT be returning to rent from here.

Over charged my account and cant get any one on the phone nor give a call back. Ive talked to atleast 5 representatives in the call center they all tell me the manager at the location is the one that can get it fixed as soon as possible.They open at 7 am and my truck was processed as returned at 830 am, why did it take them an hour and a half for one to process the return.. but the truck was actually returned at 7pm of the night before, and if they would have taken the time to read the notes on the account they would have seen that also. So they charged me for an extra day.When getting the rental the representative who helped had the worst attitude and seemed like we was a bother with our business, I was going to just let it go, but then this happened too.Ive always rented from uhaul when I moved, but that will probably be changing for the next move.

Uhaul hired me to do a job and spoke to someone the night before to confirm. Showed up on time to do the job nobody knew what was going on so after wasting an hour of my time I was sent home without pay. Totally unprofessional and unorganized horrible
