I have been a Cavalier Ford customer since 1995 when I bought my first Explorer which in 2021 is still being driven by my daughter. Cavalier Ford and its employees are wonderful. From service to sales I have always been satisfied.My husband and I, just took delivery, October 22rd, 2021, on our new 2022 F350 Platinum Superduty 6.7 Diesel Dually we ordered in May 5, 2021. Dave Cynar, our sales person, kept us informed through out the process. We tracked our original order through Fords website from order, build, transit and delivery. It was an exciting process.We love our new Dually and all its wonderful features. Highly recommend Cavalier Ford and Dave Cynar.

Today was just amazing and fast! Earl did an amazing job with the entire purchase of my new F250! He went above and beyond, very knowledgeable and helpful!! Then, as I was about to make a down payment, Jim introduces himself to me, as he’s telling me the best news ever “I can get you done with no money down”! I did a happy dance!!! Update: 8.9.2021This dealership has redeemed themselves.Ken, the GM called us today to arrange the Bronco to make a stop at our house for us to see and test drive.Shawn Wilson came by on time, he was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. He demonstrated many features we were not aware of, all the little easter eggs. What an absolute delight he was.If we decide to stay with Cavalier Ford of Greenbrier, we have agreed it will be Shawn who wed request to give our sale to.************************************Horrible customer service, very unprofessional.They had us scheduled for our reserved, deposited Bronco test drive for 1pm today.When we arrived Melissa Cooley was not in, that is who we were to ask for. And surprise surprise the Bronco wasnt here either. Over at TCC the salesman stated. We got, Sorry.GM was conveniently no longer in today when they called, but told Daniel to speak with us. Yet another apology and stated they should have called you to cancel.Really???We will be taking this complaint to Ford directly and will not be buying our Bronco from this dealership.

Let me start by saying that I’m high maintenance customer. I’m needy. I ask about 73,000 questions and I keep a magnify glass in my pocket. The sales team at Cavalier is top notch. Though I am sure there were moments they would have liked to strangle me during the process of ordering my 2022 F250, they managed to refrain and still provide great service. A very large thanks to Ura Krieg, Melissa Cooley and Zach Treece for putting up with me over the last year or so.

Scheduled a appointment for an oil change and asked for my brakes and tires to be checked. I received notification that my tires and brake pads required replacement which was fine. After work I swung by to pick up my car only to be told the service department had closed early, the sales department did have my paperwork but after reading it over I realized they did not do the oil change. At this point I had already spent 30$ on a uber to get there and nobody in sales could tell me why they skipped the oil change so I just payed for the repairs they did do and left. It blows me away that you have too wait three weeks for an appointment and they cant even complete the work you had requested or at least tell you why they were unable to do something. All I got was a email saying my car was done and ready for pick up.

I love this place so much. Always take great care of me. 10/10 recommend this place for all your servicing needs. Mike is the best!

Service department has gone down hill! I have had my vehicles serviced here for over 10 years. Now your forced to use Quick Service for maintenance instead of your service advisor. The issue here is that the last 2 times I have had my oil changed, the tech has not installed my oil filter correctly so it has leaked oil all over my drive way. I do not want inexperienced techs working on my car. If you want to make an appointment to see a service advisor then FORGET it because the first available is in two months.

Service department is overworked! Double booking causes delays and will make you wait 5 hours for an oil change in the quick lane! Should be labeled as the No service lane because that is reality! No appointment=no service, dont be fooled by some phone tender that will promise fast service. Once again nearest appointment is 2 + months out!

My lease on my Escape was up the end of Sept.. Set up an appt. to come in to meet with Dave Cynar. Needed help figuring out what to do. Ended up purchasing it. Turned out to be a great experience and he really worked thingsout for me. Thanks Dave!

I cannot explain how professional both Ricky Ramos and Daniel McGinnis were, Ricky was my salesman and he not once pressured me! I was looking into the Ford Mustang GT and we test drove it. I ended up not getting it, but if I was ever in the market for a Ford, I would go there first. I am in the Navy and I am sure all the other SVMs reading this know that this area sucks for buying cars, but this dealership is legit. Theyll give you a good deal too.

Buying was easy. Service not so much. . Call for an appointment and told June would be the earliest I can get one. Four weeks away. They tell you to come in for express service. You get there and are told it will be five or six hours. I would expect express service to be an hour or two, not all day. I prepaid for some of my services like new wipers. Now I must spend money out of pocket to see out the windshield since they cannot get me into their service department. Not making a good impression on me.

Dont even bother with this dealer, If you try to buy anything from here, expect to pay a $5000 premium/ market up cost to all vehicles MSRP on the lot. Funny how Priority Ford, and Beach Ford are not doing this, but Cavalier is. They are also refusing to accept any Ford partner plans (X, A, Z plans.) Use to be a good dealership back in the day, but has gone down over the years. They just seem not to care about long standing customers anymore. Alienating your customers past, present, and future is not a good way to do business. I will not, nor others in my household will give another dollar to this greedy dealer.

Being my first Car buying experience, I was definitely nervous to move forward with the vehicle purchase process. Although, throughout this process I felt extremely comfortable and well taken care of. I genuinely felt that the Used car managers were taking great care of me and when it came time, my financial advisor Rick Kirby took the time needed to answer all of my questions and explained them in great detail. If I didn’t completely understand something he took extra care to break it down and explain it further to my understanding. 10/10 would recommend this dealership and vehicle purchase journey to anyone! We called weeks before to get 2 vehicles inspected and nothing was available for weeks and was told to just bring it in they would have to service us. First car was brought in and I had a 4 hour wait and a week later brought the other car in around 10:30 the woman was on the rude side and said it would be around 5:30 when it would be ready, no TV the one who could work the remote was on vacation .And this is the service you get ! All the other employees were very kind.

She immediately made sure I was comfortable with what I was purchasing and went above and beyond. I cannot say enough about how honest, professional, considerate, and amicable she is. Came in have my truck serviced this morning. The service department treated me like I was an annoyance. They were extremely condescending and rude. Employees not wearing masks and refused to even make eye contact with me. I have purchased cars from this dealer for 20 years! The sales team is amazing so this review is not for them. I unfortunately will not be back to buy another vehicle. Makes me sad because it has been a family trade to purchase vehicles there.

The best place to get a car from

Extremely disappointed. We planned to purchase F-350 and had few appointments with company representative. The final price we agreed was 59k. We have been asking about out-the-door price few times, our friends were witnessed as well. They sold the same car for $57k before but we were still ok with $59 k. Finally we got financing and came there with down payment. Marcus brought some papers and asked for signing and we found out that price was increased to 63k.He tried to explain that this extra $3000( our down payment) was for sales taxes and processing fees, but we know that out-the-door price includes both of them. Finally We refused to buy a car from the company which seems unreliable for us. I am really sorry for happening. Its not a way of doing a business. I would definitely go to Beach Ford I have great buying experience with.

I have bought several Ford’s, but never seem to buy from Cavalier. I now see they have really jumped on the “market adjustment” wagon, with $5k markups on things like the explorers and the Mustangs (and other models). One day in the future when the dealership model is abandoned, it is because of dealers like Cavalier. They are writing their own obituary right now.

If my review can help save atleast one person from getting ripped off then my job is done, this dealership is shady and stingy, they will sell you a vehicle that has problems then say its your fault after it rolls off the lot and charge you for repairs, drive the extra miles to go to a different one.

Initially just gave a 5 star rating with no comments. After the first couple weeks of owing our new Ford, not leaving comments was a disservice to the folks at Cavalier. Starting with Casey our salesman. He was top notch, thoroughly knowledgeable of the F350 and also brought other experts out to answer any questions we had. The sales team went above and beyond. Never once did we feel pressured to buy or did they push a vehicle on us. And honestly although in the market for a new truck we had no intention of buying that day. It honestly came down to the professional atmosphere and customer service shown by their staff. About a week and a half later I brought the truck back in for a bed liner and two dings a couple acorns put in my hood and the service department rocked it from start to finish. Casey even took the time to call and wish my wife a happy birthday a couple days later. Might be a standard thing they do for everyone but thats the kind of stuff that seperates 5 star dealers from the average dealer slinging automobiles. Keep it up!

Great service when youre buying a car but after that, good luck ever trying to speak to someone. I purchased a car in March 2020 and I called the service center to get warranty information because I had a nail in my tire. After being told by 3 people they couldnt give me information and me leaving a voicemail for a service advisor named Lisa, I hadnt heard back in hours so I called again. Simple question right? Apparently not. Called back and they said the same thing, and put me on hold for over 25 minutes. All I had was a simple question. Hung up and they said to just bring my car in and wait around to see if they can even fix it then. Its a nail in a tire, how hard is it??? Will be just taking it to Discount Tire and getting patched for $20. Absolutely ridiculous.

We visited the Cavalier Ford dealership in Chesapeake on Saturday, April 10th in order to test drive the Mustang Mach E. The express price listed on the dealerships website is $49,695. We were willing to pay this price minus my trade.We loved the car and wanted to buy it that day. The salesman looked at my car, made an offer for the trade, and we were really excited to be getting this feat of engineering...our first all electric vehicle!But hold on....the salesman came back looking a bit hesitant....he was advised by his manager that there would be a $5,000 market adjustment if we wanted to buy the car! Yes, thats $5,000 over the MSRP and nowhere had this been indicated online or on the price sticker.They would not budge, no haggling, no deal!!Ive been doing some research and from what I understand....Ford has advised dealers NOT to charge over the MSRP for fear of alienating customers.But thats just what Cavalier Ford of Chesapeake has done. We will never purchase another vehicle from them again.Instead, we ordered our Mustang Mach E from our local dealership. We will have to wait a few months....but its better than giving into extortion.

The service department here is a joke. I made an appointment a month ago for an inspection and to have my driver rear door electrical looked at because it is not actuating my door lock. I have been here for 4.5 hours and i just recieved my first phone call, (after going in and inquiring about my vehicle), letting me know that they are now looking into why my actuator is not working. So what have they been doing for the last 3.5 hours if it takes an hour to do an inspection? The last time it was here they backed it into another vehicle and had to replace the tailgate, which they didnt even put matching length tailgate hanger wires on. The rep is no help at all. I will take it to Beach Ford from now on.

My 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty truck was having an issue with the engine producing power on Monday night. Luckily I was close to my destination so I was able to limp the vehicle there. In the morning, I took it to Cavalier Ford and spoke with Mike Hall in the service department. Mike said he could take care it and that he would give me a call when they found out what was wrong with my truck. He called just a couple hours later and told me what was wrong with it and how much it was going to cost. I told him to go ahead and fix the problem, but that I needed to leave town on Thursday at 1:30pm. Mike said he and his team will try the best they can to accommodate these needs. So, to my surprise and pleasure, Mike called me on Thursday at 1:00pm and said my truck was ready to roll, and the cost was a couple hundred dollars less than I had originally thought. A huge thanks and shout out to Mike Hall and his service team at Cavalier Ford for fixing my truck and getting it back to me in such a timely manner. Happy Holidays and again many thanks!!!!
