I dealt with 3 different people there because our new iphones were having issues. (Partly the fault of Apple and part Verizon.) Jasmine spent hours helping me out. I even left and came back while she was on hold with tech support and she didnt give up. She got me all set up and she was super nice the whole time. We also had a great experience with BJ. He is very knowledgeable. The manager was very helpful too. Its not any of their faults that the wait time is long!

Ran in to purchase 2 car chargers. “Because I was buying 2, I could get a 3rd item for $10”. Salesperson never asked which charger I wanted (I wasn’t aware there were multiple types). Just rang them up; $92.10 for 2 car chargers and a wall charger. When I asked how much they had increased in price, the salesperson told me $45 each, but I was getting them for $35 each, plus $10 for the wall charger. None of which is accurate, I have not located a charger on the Verizon website for $45. When I questioned further, the salesperson handed me my bag and walked away!Do not patronize this store. The customer service model is a deceptive bait and switch.

I was told by him in the Verizon store to text him when ready to schedules an appointment and I if I had any other questions. His named was Andrew. He never responded. So therefore, when I go back I do not need him to say (anything) to me. I will deal with someone else. I cant stand a person that lies or steal.

I’m sharing a review on behalf of my 82 yr old mother. A guy named Brenton helped her with her iPhone purchase in addition to many other issues that she was struggling with. I think she went to the store three days in a row with questions and problems. Based on her report to my sisters and me, Brenton was a saving grace as he patiently and repeatedly answered her questions. We’re very appreciative of Brenton!

I have never experienced customer service as bad as I have at this store. Thats not just Verizon, but ANYWHERE. I have had billing issues for three months. I was having trouble trying to get ahold of phone representatives at the beginning of this so I went in the store. A cycle quickly began to form. I would go in, they would say that they would fix it, they would take my number down, and then call me when it was all fixed. They never called. They never fixed it. I come to find out that after 3 months they had never even submitted the request to have my issue fixed. Then, when they finally did, it was denied and they said I needed to call because they couldnt do anything further in the store. So, after having wasted 3 months dealing with terrible customer service, I got the direct line for the telephone customer service and was able to handle everything on the phone in 30 min.Bottom Line: I am not even sure why this place exists. I thought MAYBE it is just to sell people phones, but after looking through some of the comments they seem to be awful at that as well. Dont go here.

If you like waiting for an hour and a half to get a new phone, this is your spot. Also transferring files and resubmitting info, that becomes your job, and not the job of the salesman that works here, is another fun option you have to look forward to. Scheduled a appointment to pick up my new phone. Someone greets you at the entrance and lets you inside. I was in and out within five minutes, highly efficient. I strongly recommend an appointment since I left and there was a line forming.

Staff Is self impressed and not helpful.All I wanted was a simple question answered. Was told there was a 20-30 minute wait because they are a corporate store, better than normal retail stores. Compared to verizon stores and employees in northern Virginia and Maryland..this is a small store with with a bunch of self impressed kids...not even college kid level.

My name is Lisa Miller. Do not trust any verizon! They are stealing data over covid. My mother is a new member to my account and I got her a flip phone, They are saying she has used all 50 GB of my data out of 100 GB. My bill this month was $2,400 and nothing was done! I had to go to court and get a court case. They were proven of stealing data and saying my mother used it. She did not use it and the court had said no ma’am it was stolen data. Please watch out! This is the 20th time! Be sure to screen shot your data usage everyday! They will deny doing it if you don’t do that! They are extreme liers. Switch while you can because now I have to go back to court because they won’t unlock my paid for phones because of me taking them to court! Thanks, be safe!

Bad customer service....they told me they could replace my phone for free because of a known issue it was having. Then I received a bill for the new phone. I spoke to the manager and they said my phone was not covered by the warranty even though in the store they told me it was. I would have been fine if I knew I’d have to buy a new phone upfront, but the fact that they gave me false information and then left me with an extremely high bill without warning is what bothers me.

I wish someone wouldve have told me that getting a new phone was that simple. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by Verizon associate Jasmine, who by the way was very polite, welcoming, and helpful with getting me signed in. I was quickly serviced by another Verizon associate, Andrew, who also was helpful with explaining how the new phone worked, suggestions on protection plans, and very understandable with my questions. I would highly recommend this Verizon location to anyone in need of a new service, a new phone, or have any questions about theyre current plan. Thank you again!

Since the store moved from the Rio Road location, service has declined. Long waits with people standing by with time to take your number but not wait on you. In addition, one female kept rolling her eyes at everyone that came in. There is no happiness or joy in this store. It used to be people were very friendly and they would check on you if the wait was long. If they even bother to tell you to take a seat, there are none up front and you are not directed to any waiting area if there is one. If you walk around to look at products on the wall, you get more eye rolls and head shaking.In response to the owner, the way your environment is structured, its highly uncomfortable. Check out the way the store at Preston Avenue is laid out. Its just a sales center, but at least its comfortable. Even Dominion Energy has a nice set up in the waiting area.

The check in girl was so inept she could not digitally add us to the queue. After 10 minutes of multiple attempts she finally wrote our names on a yellow post-a-note and gave it to the supervisor. The supervisor then spent the next 10 minutes talking to her two associate workers, because they were stuck and did not know how to help their customers. All I needed were two iPad cases. So I called Simply MAC. They had the cases and said there was no wait. I asked the Verizon supervisor if someone was going to help us within the next three minutes and she said “probably not”. At which point U said we were leaving. I gave them a little feedback saying “this place is terrible”. We went to Simply MAC, were greeted at the door, the same person sold us our new covers and we were out of there in 5 minutes. What a contrast. Verizon has a failed business model for their retail store. The wait is too long, the people are inept/poorly trained. They are not rude, just ineffectual. If there were such a thing as a negative star, that would be Verizon Charlottesville Fashion Square!

Updated reviewed: When we purchased the phone upgrade (ref. below), we were promised a rebate by the sales rep AND the manager on duty. Never received the rebate. Stopped in three more times, each visit a month apart. Every time, the manager promised the rebate would be on our next bill. Never received it. As such, we left Verizon, drastically reduced our bill, and have been happy ever since.Accessories are very expensive at this store as well. Why can’t he help when there’s no one coming into the store. It’s like this all the damn time. They need to fix this! Very very very poor customer service. It’s not like I have all day to wait here! Very unhappy customer yesterday at this Verizon store. The broke my screen protector while installing it and I was told that I have to file another claim with manufacturer to get another one because they dont have one in the store. After wasting an hour of my time , I walked out with a broken screen protector and completely bubbled out on one side. I talked to the manager that it was their fault and they need to fix it. I was told we can not guarantee perfection. Not happy with this store and Verizon at this time. Very disappointing.

Went in on November 1st and had a great and easy experience. I was adding a phone to my plan and knew exactly which one I wanted. Brittany was really helpful! I had an outdated plan so she helped me come up with what would work best for my family. I basically ended up saving money going from two phones to three. After we were done she walked me to the door and she just made me feel special as a customer! She even texted me a couple days later about a rebate that I forgot to mention again before leaving! It was an overall amazing experience.

This place is ridiculous. I understand that this is the only corporate store in the area, but these people don’t care about customer service. They’re all about selling a phone to you and won’t really put in the effort to help you afterwards. In fact, I’ve heard too many stories from friends that they are quick to put their own needs and their commission over the needs of the customers. Moving forward, I’d rather go to one of the other stores in the area than go to this store. I hear the one in Crozet scores high in customer service. I might need to check them out.

The salesman was either misinformed or blatantly lied about my options for insuring the phone I was buying. He said Applecare Plus didnt cover water damage. It does. He said Verizons option cost $29. It does for some phones. Not the one I was buying and not in Virginia. Very unpleasant experience from him. I got the phone without issue and thats why this is two stars. Verizon is a mixed can of worms. Their customer service is pretty great, head and shoulders above local competition. That being said, the right hand doesnt always know what the left hand is doing. They offer a lot, they cost a lot. I have had good experiences and a lot of frustration. Not leaving them anytime soon.

I was nervous about going to Rio Rd. location after reading the reviews. But my experience was excellent. A customer service rep opened the door before I even entered the building. He took my cell phone number and my request and put me in the queue. Within a couple minutes another rep was available and gave me great customer service. Using their modified iPads I was checked out painlessly. It was the best Verizon experience Ive ever had. Highly recommend.

Verizon Wireless will use every trick in the book to force you to stay with their plans, and will charge excessive amounts. If you are willing to pay the money, the connections are all fine, however, if you ever decide to switch carriers, you might as well buy a new phone, even though Verizon claims to always unlock their phones. After reading many forums and wasting a lot of time trying to understand why I couldnt get a good data connection with my unlocked phone, I learned that Verizon has been actively blocking the ability of unlocked phones to use any data network other than Verizons. They removed the ability to add access points to their phones, and have actively blocked any methods to change this.

Representative gave me misinformation about setting up my new iPhone that cost me time and agitation, in order to move on to the next customer. Stated that all of my contacts were lost when in truth he had, had me set up my phone incorrectly. Told me my phone would take 3 hours to set up from iCloud but I could wait if I wanted to. Untrue. It took 30 minutes and my contacts were there. This store simply did not want to help after I bought an $800 device.

I read the negative reviews of this store (Rio) and wasnt looking forward to going in, but since it was close to the hotel I stayed at, took a chance. SO glad I did. From the pleasant woman who opened the door and took my name to Kirstin Ss above and beyond service I could not have been more pleased. Friendly, polite and helpful was the name of the day. Hats off to Kirstin who took a complicated, lengthy issue and not only made it pleasant, but also never gave up during the hour plus it took to solve the problem, making multiple calls to other locations, customer service and indirect supervisors. If I could hire someone to work for me, or give her a raise I would in a heartbeat. She provided customer service in a way rarely seen these days with a gracious tenacity that would make any employer happy.
