I had a little bit of an accident while traveling in Charlotte on business. My transmission was destroyed. Import did a great job despite some insurance issues. They are beyond reasonable and fair in their price. If I lived in Charlotte I would take both my BMW and VW here. Wish I had a shop like this in Raleigh.

March 6, 2020. Just like you are doing, I looked at the awesome reviews and decided to choose Dynamic Auto Tune on Monroe Road (another business on the same street) . The hose for my coolant had a leak. Dynamic treated very well! They showed me the leaky hose, so it was clear it was just a hose replacement job. Great. They came back with a price quote that did not reflect at all the cost of replacing ONE hose... the quote was $1,800 plus $76 for diagnostics. (PLEASE SEE THE RECEIPT IMAGE BELOW). Turns out they decided to replace additional parts of the car that I did not ask to be replaced and incorporated that into the final price without even asking for my approval first. I decided to take my car up the street to Import Connection also on Monore Rd instead. After inspection, they confirmed that all the car needed was a hose replacement and there was nothing else urgent in the car that needed repairs. They completed the job for $312 the same day. You tell me whats wrong with this picture. I know I am a female, alone, with a mini cooper, so perfect a candidate for exploitation. I have come to expect it by now. I felt it my duty to share with someone else so you can decide for yourself if this is the place you want to bring your car. Specially if you happen to be someone who appears to know nothing about cars, and has an expensive one, and is also a female, visiting alone, therefore an easy target.Update Sept 1, 2020:My car ran fabulously for six months without any issues, further proving that my car only needed a hose replaced and not all the other long list of items suggested to me by Dynamic Auto Tune. Last week I needed a fuel injection pump replaced (not on the list of suggestions they had by the way). I got it replaced at a reasonable price at Import Connections within 24 hours and was on my way.Final Update: 1 year Anniversary March 2021!I just want to follow up to let everyone know that a year later my car still has not had any issues whatsoever. I just did a cross country trip AND back (over 70hrs driving) and my car is still running great with no issues and I have had no additional repairs done. This proves that the list of issues I was given by Dynamic Auto Tune a year ago was completely false and that Import Connection did a great job at servicing my car.

I took my car in to have the blower motor looked at due to it making very loud noises when on max output. When i picked up my car the noise was still there (though not as bad) but it was still loud and very noticable. I brought my concerns to their attention and someone came out to see for themself. and they too heard the noise. He requested that I give it some time and if it continued to bring it back.I will keep an ear out to see if it gets better and will update this review at that time.UPDATE....So after very limited driving due to the stay at home order (I have been going out for drives around the city just to get out of the house or to pick up groceries curbside) I noticed on yesterday that I could no longer hear the A/C when on max cool.UPDATE...the noise did subside but not for long. A couple of weeks after noticing that the noise was gone it started again, and was as loud as it was when I bought it in. I called up to Import Connection and made an appointment. I dropped it off for them to look at and low and behold the blower miter they put on was no good. The replaced it free of charge (it was still under warranty) and since I haven’t had any issues. These guys are honest and take care of their customers.

This business is the best place to take your high end vehicle for maintenance. They do excellent work with very reasonable prices. I reccomend them to everyone with an import.

Stewart and the rest of the team are very customer focused and professional. Very competitive prices compared to dealership service. Brake repair has caused squeaky brakes; reworked at no charge. Convenient for me to drop off on the way to work.

The guys here are wonderful! They are always very helpful and knowledgeable. My husband and I have taken all of our cars (past and present) here and will continue to do so.

Highly recommend these guys. Had a rattle up front that two other shops could not figure out the problem. Dealership would cost at least double.

I had a really bad experience at Import Connection today, They worked on my car yesterday and the engine light came back on this morning. I took the car in this afternoon to get the light checked, and Jon told me that the guy that worked on my car yesterday was busy. I waited 1hr and 20 min. To make a long story short, the mechanic that worked on my car was not told that I was waiting, and when I tried to inquire about this to Jon, he started yelling at me. I couldnt believe it!! He said the other manager was out, they have been short handed all week, etc, etc, etc, and if I did not like the way they do business to take my business elsewhere! This was shocking and it really hurt my feelings. I know my car is old(2002), I understand that I am a woman and automotive issues can be confusing for some women so maybe my auto ignorance bothered him, maybe he was having a really bad day, there could have been a number of reasons for his outburst, but I was literally in tears when I left there today. . He must be the manager, because he really wasnt worried about losing his job. Maybe he told himself shes just 1 customer, so what if I offend her. But I dont think thats true. If 1 person reads this post, and it makes a difference in their decision as to patronize this establishment or not, then my time will have not been in vain.

They let me borrow a special tool once for a deposit. Nice people.

Dont judge the place by the well worn exterior. They do quality work on all European cars and they do not overcharge. They avoid using expensive OEM parts unless it is absolutely necessary. 10/10 would recommend.

I dont usually submit a lot of reviews, but I highly recommend the crew at Import Connection. They have been caring for my older (2002) BMW 525 for quite some time. When I first started going there, it was just out of warranty and it had just started having the just out of warranty issues. They have addressed every one at what I think is a reasonable price and have kept my old beamer running great at 145,000 miles on the odometer. I recently took my daughters 1995 318 I there for a diagnosis because she was moving to LA. I stress that this was a 1995. She made it without a hitch and they were very good about letting me know the priority list and then an ultimate wish list. I will always have a BMW, but not a new one with the $85k+ plus price tag, but I always know where to go for good professional service at a very honest price.

I have been having issues with my car since I spent 3500 with jon.I took it back and same problem comes back.Very nasty people who will rip you off.On top of that stole the paperwork out of my glove box so I cant pursue court but will still move forward because I sent them certified papers demanding a refund!!!!!Dont trust them at all .Get it in writing!!!!!!

My girlfriend took her German car here and it was nothing but problem after problem. To start, they have barely any parking in the tiny parking lot (um where are you supposed to park right next to a busy street?). For a place that supposedly works on nice cars, the place was dirty, cramped, and looked like a wannabe artist painted some childish murals on the outside. Theres a bunch of old cars sitting around and my GF was harassed by a homeless guy in the parking lot. Not exactly what she was looking for!This place sucks, don’t know why it has four stars, terrible service and she left with unresolved issues. SHE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.
