The food is good, I ordered butter chicken, palak paneer ( spinach and cheese), aloo palak ( potato and spinach). All where delicious. I personally think the butter chicken should be creamier but I’ll give it a thumbs up. All meals come with a piece of naan. The tea is excellent.

I’ve always loved food at Almarkaz but hygiene is very important for any restaurant. We found a cockroach in our Samosa chaat. I took the food to the guy up front and decided to not make a big deal out of it. He was very apologetic and made us a fresh Samosa chaat. Didn’t really feel like eating anymore but we did end up ordering some more food. Although I wasn’t expecting free food because of this mishap as I know it wasn’t intentional but I at least expected a discount on the bill. I even asked for one because of the cockroach in our food. But oh well …..i hope no one has to find a dead bug in their food.

Its a desi super market with a restaurant on the side. They have a lot of grocery items. They should organize the store more. I ordered the Sunday special with nihari and naan. I would recommend calling ahead to place order. Otherwise, you can expect a long wait for the food. I would also recommend covering the items in the chaat are. They are behind a counter but many people are passing by in close proximity. One good thing was they require everyone to wear a mask. Otherwise, you have to leave.

If you live to eat, then Al Markaz is definitely a destination worth your time. Food was great, the ambience was what you would typically experience at a restaurant in most parts of Pakistan and India, people meeting and greeting each other, families reunions happening, friends meeting for a fun evening, noisy and busy, smell of fresh food. The menu appeals to one and all, there is something for everyone, from Grandpa and Grandma to the little kiddo in the high chair. The Naan was super fresh, biriyani was as good as home made, Chaat items were loaded with flavor, literally lip smacking taste. All items freshly cooked and served up with lots of smiles (Service was great). Overall a great experience on every single visit. If you are new in town and craving some heavenly food, then I highly recommend you visit this restaurant. I will continue to go there ......for I live to eat.

Very disappointed today after very long time we came ordered Same thing that we eat Karahi Ghost and it was not the same. We called the person in charge and was informed the main cook is gone. They replaced our dinner with Bhunna Ghosht and that also was not cooked right after little explanation they replaced it with Frontier chicken that we are waiting on at the moment. I feel like they don’t believe us that there is something wrong in the cooking and taste. The irony is they know it because all the waiters know that people have been complying the same. Management needs to know and fix the issue soon.

The goat curry and chicken curry was ok in my opinion... Ive had better homemade versions of these dishes at homes of family. Naan is good warm, but I have had better from other indian spots. Birani was the star for me, but simply put, I would have to agree with one of the other reviews... Some are good and some are just meh. There is a dine in and a supermarket. Would I come here again for the food? Maybe for the desserts, but not for anything else.

Kind of different, tucked on the side of the grocery store is a simple restaurant featuring Indian/ Pakistani food. For the price of a Big Mac meal you can have a combination plate with 3 items plus fresh naan bread.I tried the vegetable samosa, Hakeem (lentils with beef), and lentils with spinach (yes I love Indian lentils). All were tasty and the place very clean, brightly lit, and with an open floor plan.Place your order at the counter then take a seat at a booth or table and your food will be brought out shortly. After you have finished a server will bring the bill like a normal restaurant.Ill be back

Only allowing take out during Covid. Called ahead and it was still being prepared when I got there. In total it was about 25 minutes to getting my food. The lunch combo is a great deal and more than enough food to fill you up. The naan is delicious. I do wish the dishes were a bit spicier, but the flavors are great. It’s also a cool little grocery store which I hope to shop at when I consider making some of these dishes at home.

Went there on Sunday morning to drown out guilt from the weekend. I partied too hard and drank two whole cups of whole milk the night before. I was amazed by the restaurant menu, seating, the energy and friendly staff. The grocery store on the other side of the building was a little run down and wearhousey .. they have a full restaurant menu, a street food menu, and sweet paan. All the classic in one place and it definitely gives all Desi people nostalgia. Loved the Nihari.

This is your one stop shop for desi groceries, snacks, dinner, dessert and more. With several other shops in the same shopping center there is something for everyone. This place is extremely popular with locals and visitors. Large dining hall stays busy constantly and can be a bit challenging to find seating for large groups. Some items on the menu may not be to everyone’s liking but overall the food is very good to excellent. While this place stays busy, the line at the counter moves quickly. Large number of staff makes everything go fast and smooth.Try their chaat stand for some delicious snacks (my favorite is the mix chaat). And don’t leave without trying their signature dish - beef bihari.Bathrooms are not very clean and the trash can is always overflowing.
