Great service, and quality work. I took my car twice to do exhaust work and I was not left disappointed. I would say, just be ready to leave your car because even if they tell you to get there first thing in the morning, they may not get you in, they made me go twice and I had to leave because they were busy and could not to the job at the moment, so be prepared to leave your car at the shop. Besides that, fair price and great work.

I was on my way to work when I hit an unavoidable piece of debris on the interstate. As I was getting off near my destination, I heard a terrible dragging noise. I pulled over and looked under my car. My exhaust system had come undone and was dragging under my car. A quick search found that this shop was less than 1 mile away, so I limped my car here. I was expecting to be told the entire system needed to be replaced for big $$$. That was not the case. They had me in and out within 1.5 hours for way less than I expected. Great service. Excellent staff. Highly recommend.

Left sawzall marks on the muffler pipes under my truck. Took it back for them to fix and they cut some off, leaving more marks in the process. Anybody can install a muffler, their craftsmanship and attitude about it was poor. They did mention that i could bring it back a 3rd time. Far too much hassle for what should have been a simple transaction.

I usually don’t write reviews, but these guys deserve a great one! They are very efficient and affordable. Honest people, they didn’t take advantage of me being a woman from out of town and needing the service immediately. I would highly recommend them.

Came to have work done two weeks in a row and was turned away each time. The first time I came too late ok that’s fine, but when I was told to arrive early the next time I did, I was the first one there and he claimed they were busy then when I asked to make an appointment he said they didn’t do them. So, I’m trying to figure out how they keep getting book if they don’t do appointments. I would just not recommend this place ever!!

My experience was exceptional. Ricky is the best mechanic Ive ever dealt with. Ricky is honest and price was good. I have a Ford and had a timing chain problem along with other problems. He diagnosed and has my Mustang GT sounding and running exactly how I wanted. I would recommend Acme for all your mechanic needs.

This place was fair and honest with all of their service. I went in for an O2 sensor to be replaced and was told previously that it would need to be taken out along with the catalytic converter. This was after 3 hours at the shop. When we brought it to ACME, not only did we did not need to have the catalytic converter replaced but the O2 sensor only took 20 minutes to put in!! I swear some places are really inept at their jobs and need to retire😝 Hopefully, ACME doesnt fall into that category and keep on providing the excellent customer service I experienced today.

My brush guard broke loose and I wasnt sure it could be fixed. David told me to bring it in and he would take a look. He was able to weld it back together later that day for a very reasonable price. Everyone there was very courteous and it was a great experience. Its a little tough to find, but well worth it.

To me they displayed their true character. I came in expecting to have at least $300 worth of work done only for them to tell me with all honesty....theres nothing wrong, just needs for my bolts tighten and one replaced. Total cost of my visit, the time it took me to make this review. I would definitely be going back if needed. Even after insisting on paying them something for getting rid of the noise that been driving me crazy, they also insisted that it was nothing, leaving me to believe in their character and how they treat all customers. Honesty is alive in this shop.

David told me to bring in my car Tuesday and hed have it done by Tuesday. So I brought my car in on Tuesday, got me a quote by 9 AM, and had my car back within 3 hours.I bought my car from up north and the bottom of the car had considerable rust damage from all the salt. The car needed to have the length of the exhaust pipe welded back onto the body, flex-pipe replaced, the flanges between the front-cat and resonator removed and welded into a straight-pipe, and a new muffler to be replaced and welded onto the exhaust pipe.I am a very mechanically-inclined person and I planned to do all of this work myself like Ive done in the past for other repairs. But the amount of time, headache, supplies, and welding that wouldve gone into it, I decided to take it to Acme Muffler. I chose to go to them because all the body shops and auto parts store in the Bham area highly recommended them.David did all the work for an EXTREMELY FAIR PRICE with a quick turnaround! David listened to what I needed done and he did exactly that. He didnt try to undercut me and charge me for necessary repairs. He knows what hes doing and he listens to you.You will drive out of there with a clear conscience knowing that you did not overpay!

While on vacation my AC began to blow warm air. I went to Acme the next day, without an appointment, and was taken care of by Ricky. I can not thank this young man for taking care of my air conditioning quickly so my family and I could continue our vacation. Everyone I met was courteous and willing to help. I have broken flex pipe so my car was very noisy. I went to dealer and they asked $4500 for repair and I denied still they charged $150 to let me know that there is a hole in exhaust pipe which I already knew. ACME guy fixed flex pipe and also fix my spare tire holder in just $160. I think that if anybody have any problem in car muffler then first go here. I am very happy that I am using my car after 3 days.

I had a broken support arm for a boat bimini top. It needed a couple of spot welds. The mechanic there did the repair in 5 min while I waited, then would not charge me anything. He reluctantly accepted a tip. In a time when dealer service centers charge from inflated book rates, and corporate-owned service centers push their employees to upsell services that arent needed, it is nice to find a locally owned shop like this with good folks who treat you fairly. Highly recommended.

Originally used them for a broken exhaust pipe when the dealer kept my car all day, didnt look at it, and didnt even bother to tell me they would not be looking at it till the next day. Brought it over to Acme at 7:30 in the morning and had it back by noon. I casually mentioned replacing the radiator and they said they could do that, too. I had been quoted $1200 by the place I usually take my care to, they did if for just under $500. All while being very courteous and even waiting for me when I couldnt get there by closing time. I have a new go-to repair shop!

During a cross country trip we accidentally bottomed out and after that our car started making a noise. We stopped by Acme since it was the closest and boy are we glad we did,! The mechanic who helped us came out, looked at the engine and then pulled out a stethoscope to try to isolate the location of the damage. He accurately determined the problem and then put the car on a lift to determine thr damaged spot. Even though they were closing soon he offered to fix the problem that day and he also explained the possibility of complications due to my cars rusty bolts. We were so impressed with his acumen in diagnosing my cars problem and his honesty in proposing possible solutions. I wish he lived in my home town so I could take my car to him always.

Couldn’t be happier with the work they did. I showed up at 10:30 when they were all busy as hell. Had me on the rack and fixed in a hour and fixed a problem the dealership “fixed” two times. If you need brake or muffler work these are your guys. Their prices are as fair as it gets too.

At the recommendation of my usual mechanic last year, I had ACME diagnose my computer problem in my car. They tried several attempts to reboot the computer (in order to save money) but couldnt so they installed a new one. They even worked with me on the price for the new one. My mechanic has since retired so I just took my car to ACME for new tie rods. They called to let me know the inner tie rods were bad but the outer ones were ok. While having my oil changed two months ago, NTWB said I needed both inner and outer tie rods. Again, ACME only fixed what was broken at a reasonable price. ACME is honest and every person Ive met there is very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend for any car problems.
