Top notch! Chris fixed my older bike and got me back on the road in a couple of days. And a really fair price. I was in fear of how much it was going to cost and he charged me a really fair rate. In a town with a lot of bike store options, Bend Velo does a really nice job. Highly recommended!

So I asked the impossible, and Eric and Chris delivered. All I wanted was an incredible bike from a knowledgeable shop, after all bikes in the country seemed to have been sold out. After over 30 online inquires, Eric replied on a Sunday within minutes of my mail being sent. How he had the bike I was searching for is a story he will have to tell, but he had it. It was fairly priced and when I picked it up Chris made sure I had everything to start riding in minutes. Chris even gave me several great options of where I could find a good meal. Is the bike perfect… yes! Would I drive the 5 hours to buy from them again? Yes!. Would I need to make the drive, well no they can ship, but the visit was worth my time. Thank you Eric and Chris.

I had a great experience buying my Surly “Bridge Club” from Eric and Chris. They helped me to customize my bike switching out the chrome components for black ones and they even swapped the stickers making my bike a one of a kind. That being said, Ive had nothing but amazing experiences with Surly bikes - a name known around the world for its quality. 50 miles from a cell signal or civilization, and I wasnt worried - Bend Velo had me prepared with anything I could possibly need.

Bend Velo helped me size, fit and build a Surly Troll to fit my needs for bikepacking and international touring. The staff was amazingly knowledgeable, skilled and friendly. They really went out of their way to work with me on a custom build, try out different components and most importantly, they did it all while making me feel valued and heard. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

I came across one of the few first 2020 disc truckers left at Velo Bend, purchased it and made my way from Pennsylvania eagerly awaiting. Upon arrival the shop was small but the two employees were more than big enough with energy, super busy, but absolutely willing to take a second and talk or discuss a component. I came across Bend Velo in may 2019. I couldnt be happier with a bike shop. I bought parts from them to custom build a mountain bike/touring bike from scratch. Both Eric, the owner, and Chris, the mechanic spent a LOT of time guiding me, helping me choose the right parts without ever trying to upsell anything, quite the opposite they helped me saving money by explaining how some parts were unnecessary. They did not make a lot of money out of my business, but they always greet me with a smile and a lot of enthusiasm whenever I stepped in. Eric just wants to put people on bikes and make friends. Both Eric and Chris are very knowledgeable and only want the best for you. Prices are very fair, often matching the best online prices. I went back a year later to add a suspension fork to the bike. Again, I received the best advice (from Eric and Nick) and never felt rushed to make any decision. Whenever I hit the trail and have a blast, I am grateful I came across Bend Velo. They definitely have me as a customer.

Eric and Chris were enormously helpful in getting me set up with my Surly Krampus. I’m impressed with their follow up after putting me on a waiting list for this super cool bike. They were patient, informative and good humored in answering my many questions about bikes and accessories. I’m impressed with this business and will do business with them in the future.

On very short notice we asked for a tire repairs. We were driving through town. Both the guys working in their shop took their in progress bikes off the rack, installed ours and fixed the tires. So appreciated. This only happens when people care. Big thanks guys.

We had excellent service from Nick. He took my bike right in and diagnosed the issue right away. The limit screw was set too far away. Also, my chain had a broken link. He fixed it quickly and with a smile at a very reasonable price.

Recommended to me a few years back. This is the third bike I brought in for repairs and they do a wonderful job and their prices are fair!

Came here to get a tune up for my bike and ended up also purchasing a new bike seat. For some reason my previous mountain bike seat had a rip and started feeling uncomfortable on my rides, might have been a manufacturing issue. After taking a look at a few seats with the help of staff, I decided to get a gel infused seat which worked way better than my stock bike seat. It was so comfortable and I no longer have to take multiple breaks in between riding with my wife on trails. Thank you Velo bike shop for literally saving my behind.

Staff at the store was very knowledgeable. I knew which bike I wanted and they helped go over options for the bike. They also had lots of accessories like racks, bags, pumps, fenders, tools, etc. I didnt know they had so many things other than bicycles in the store. I was happy I went there and found a good bike shop with caring staff.

Real nice professional folks, fixed my bike tire on the spot for free in a few minutes when two other bike shops wanted $120/$200 to replace the tire altogether.

This bike shop provided the most enjoyable experience and best mechanical work Ive ever seen. Owner Eric Power and mechanic Chris are both very enthusiastic about bikes, and are committed to pairing customers with the best bike fit and feel possible. Mechanical work on both my new bikes and older bikes was WAY above average. Prices, I think, are more than reasonable. They actually worked on one older bike of mine to get it ready for resale, and did not charge for that! I give this bike shop the highest recommendation I can give, and then some.

You just known when someone cares about you. I called looking for a rear axle ‘through hub’... for my Surly Karate Monkey. John took the call, and was soooo very helpful. Matched the part, didn’t have it in stock. But figured a way to make it work if need be... but THEN referred me to the local Surly store first, cuz that was better for me and what asked for originally.Amazing, Definitely going back to them first for my next bike purchase.

I had a positive experience with the shop, Nick was very helpful in trying to fix my old Camania road bike, bend forks and possible upgrade to a relax fit. Eric the owner seems like a very honerable man to deal with.

Nice store. They have their own “Livingston” brand of cruiser bikes where they take used old steel frames, powder coat them in their shop and then add nice parts to make a really attractive casual bike. Plus they’ve got a lot of Surly bikes and really friendly and helpful.

This place is great! We called the day before flying out to Bend, OR looking for bike rentals for Memorial Day weekend. Eric was very helpful and found a bike that fit my 52 stature and my fiances 64 with only a moments notice! We were able to rent the bikes for the 3 days we were there for a very reasonable price. When we visit Bend again we will be going here for rentals.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this shop. The owner is really friendly and so is the staff that works there. They fixed a broken stem on the spot and the pricing was really fair. This summer I was traveling through Bend and arrived at 4pm wanting to see the town as much as possible. This bike shop hooked me up quickly so I could ride around for an hour - made my day! They were kind, professional, and best of all, took a look at me, knew my plans, and handed me the perfect ride. These folks know their stuff!

These guys are the real deal. They promote bicycling for general transportation and daily life, not so much for sport. They have fast bikes of course, but that is not their focus. In this day of global warming, these folks are making the world a better place. Nothing is overpriced, Torys a great mechanic, and their repurposed Livingston bikes are seen all over Bend. Good shop, good people, good stuff. I highly recommend stopping in, getting a bike and starting a new friendship with Eric and Tory.

Not just for commuter bikes! They just got me a great deal on a sweet 2014 Focus cyclocross bike. They also did a great job of fitting me and setting it up. Had one issue with the bike - one of the brake cables it came with was not pulling smoothly. They quickly swapped it out for upgraded cables - no hassles and it works perfectly now.

Ive put miles and miles on my urban commuter since buying it at Bend Velo, and everyone I refer to them comes back to thank me later. Affordable pricing and attention to the customer are rare these days, but Bend Velo makes it happen.

On Monday afternoon I noticed that the rear wheel on my wife’s bike was wobbly. Went to Google Maps. Found Bend Velo and called. Could he true the wheel? Sure. Come on over. Owner Eric Power did the job in a jiffy. Very reasonable fee. Velo Bend has lots of stuff in the shop that will tempt a serious cyclist. If Eric had taken longer I might have succumbed to temptation and purchased one of his J Livingston repurposed steel frame bicycles.

Eric and Tory, at Bend Velo in Bend, Oregon, did an amazing job of creating the perfect bike for me. They let me use my original bike frame. I picked out the color I wanted it to be, plus the fenders and basket! I even added panniers and am now riding my bike everywhere!The best thing about this bike shop is that I didnt feel uncomfortable walking through the door. Other bike shops are crammed with bikes and accessories. This one is open and has a super friendly atmosphere. Its the perfect Bike Shop.And, I love my commuter bicycle!!

Great staff and a good alternative to all the other bike shops in town

I love my new Surly ECR 29+ that I bought in the spring from Bend Velo. Eric and Tory were so great helping me customize it, pedals, a little bling, and making the bike lighter with a few tweaks. They are very patient, super knowledgable and helpful. Its an amazing all around semi-fat bike, great in the sand in the summer and snow in the winter. Plus I have a smile on my face every time I ride it. Its mows over everything, kind of like a monster truck on 2 wheels.

Down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and super nice crew. Whether you are into commuting, touring, or racing, I cant recommend this shop enough!
