Attentive, thorough, and fair. When questions were asked, the answers were considered and responded to instead of a less thoughtful answer.Had seatpost rebuilt and both tires done tubeless. Documentation of work done and relevant info was always recorded and a copy was given to me as well.Only thing left to see is if the work done holds up...based on what Ive seen so far...prospects are good! Had a fantastic bike fitting with Steele. He was super patient, explained everything in detail, and really knows his stuff. He also walked me through the various tiers of clip in shoes/pedals and wanted to find the right product for me rather than just trying to sell me the most expensive set.I also really appreciate the fantastic organization of maps/trails that you have on your website.

Sunnyside Sports has taken care of me and our Trek mountain bikes for the better part of 20 years. Weve bought multiple mountain bikes from Sunnyside, and they have done a great job maintaining them for us as well. Sunnyside found a crack in our oldest bike, a Trek 7000 from 1998, when it was in for service this summer. Instead of just telling me about it and moving on, Zach Starr talked to Trek about it and negotiated a 30% discount off of a new bike. That was WAY above and beyond. That really meant something to us. We appreciate it.

I called several bike shops in bend asking about their turnaround time. Sunnyside said they were 4 days out which was significantly faster than the other places I called. Our bikes didn’t need an overhaul. Just a safety inspection and some grease basically. We brought them in on Friday for our appointment. They combed them over, and made suggestions. In 24 hours we got a text that they were done and our bikes were out of there! The communication from this shop was amazing. Fast service. Well priced. Cute shop dog too. Cant go wrong with sunnyside!

I visited this shop looking to get into mountain biking coming from road biking. Flynn was the staff member that helped me and was very helpful and informative. A very low pressure experience overall, it’s clear that the staff is more interested in getting you onto the right bike than just selling bicycles. I was able to talk about the model I was interested in and took a business card home with me to do some of my own research. When I decided to pull the trigger on a Trek Marlin 6 I called the shop and the bike was built up and ready to go the next day ahead of the projected time they estimated and I got a text message when it was completed. I enjoyed the level or organization and streamlined process which made the whole transaction easier. There are 1000 places to buy a bike online these days, but I highly recommend going to this shop that clearly cares about customer service and an honest sales approach. I’m looking forward to bringing my bike back when it needs a service.

Visiting from CA, I needed to replace my road bike helmet. I trusted this bike shop because of the 5 star review rating on Google (not sure Ive seen many of those). They deserve it! I was greeted and asked what I was looking for by two people before the front door could even close behind me. Flynn lead me to the helmet section and was very knowledgeable about their products and helped explain the different price tiers and ultimately led me to purchasing a brand new very nice helmet. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. It was a great experience and would recommend their shop!

Bend is full of bike shops but none better than Sunnyside - they are friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. And their pricing always seems fair. As an amateur mechanic, and avid cyclist this is our go to shop. I just recently dropped my bike off there for a new bottom bracket to eliminate a creaking noise and the mechanic there fixed it by greasing and tightening my bottom bracket and chainring bolts - thats the kind of amazing service and care Ive come to expect from Sunnyside.

I googled for bike shops and decided to try this one. Im glad that I did. I received excellent service. They were attentive yet gave me space to browse and shop. I was waiting for my skis to be waxed (as a walk-in, how cool is that!). I found some cool road gloves and windbreaker and they have Skratch stuff on hand! So embarrassed to say I had my clip-in bike shoes for 20 years! Riding was just not comfortable, so I visited Sunnyside Sports, and finally my problem was gone! Susan so patiently helped me find the right shoe for my narrow feet, and explained the new technology - can you say no more velcro straps!They also readjusted the clip-in point of contact with the pedal...moved the fitting back more towards the ball of my foot suggesting that would alleviate some foot numbness riders often get and produce a better pedal stroke.After riding just once, I could feel the differences!Thanks Susan for the great help and advice!Lc

Love Sunnyside for my cross county skiing needs —I recently purchased poles and they measured me and shaved them to custom fit my height (so nice to get exactly what I need). My family has been going there for 13 years. Sunnyside employees are longstanding and knowledgeable about skiing and biking. This is a fantastic neighborhood bike shop. They have a great outdoor set up to keep everyone safe. They take the time to talk over all you are considering as you select a new bike, bring them out to show you, let you test ride, and then after purchase, they are great making adjustments during the getting used to the new bike period. We wanted two bikes, bought one, but they were out of stock for the second one. I had to buy from elsewhere (or wait until winter), but they are there for me being extremely helpful making adjustments on my new bike anyway. This is the only bike shop we will use in Bend! They are awesome!!!

You folks masterfully converted a Trek 7.3 round-the-town bike I had, mostly for commuting, into a great approximation of a gravel bike. I retired to Bend, and this was the best thing I could have done with what had been my commuting bike! Ive ridden it in the desert trails, single-tracks, Ford Road itself, and other trails only half there, for two seasons now. Its been one of the real highlights of my moving to, and discovering, Bend. Something altogether new which has been fun, rewarding, and enabled me to explore places I wanted to get into. I did it this way so I could try out desert and gravel riding to see if I liked it before investing in a genuine gravel bike. Il be in next season to look at, discuss, and try out some gravel bikes! Your expertise, staff, parts, and services are excellent. Best Ive found.Update, Feb., 2021: Once again, excellent work, willing to really go over all work, before it is done (e.g., options, pluses and downsides of each, costs, etc.), and then willing to discuss the work carefully with you once it’s completed. Excellent work, including insightful diagnostics, and creative fixes. All for perfectly reasonable prices. As example of excellent creative work, Sunnyside turned my 5-year old Trek 7.3 info a nice, well-adapted, well-functioning gravel bike that’s given me two excellent years exploring the desert, and even some mountain-bike-like great forest trail rides as well. Great shop! I walked in (well, out back where they have the tent outside during COVID) and they were very helpful about checking out a used bike I was buying from someone on Craigslist. A mechanic put it on the stand, came out and gave me a run-down of all the components and general condition. I ended up buying the bike, and its been great! I also came back to buy a new helmet from the shop, and the staff was super helpful with that as well. Maybe next time Ill pony up for a new Ibis or Yeti from Sunnyside :)

Sunnyside offers the authenticity of an old school bike shop that caters to the entire spectrum of life behind handlebars. Mike, Susan, and the crew have that shop cranking away at a nice smooth cadence.

Great bike shop from what I could tell. They were able to help me change my tire on my tubeless setup same day which was super convenient!However, while they were changing my tire they made adjustments to my derailleur without my permission and then charged me for that adjustment without discussing it with me.Kinda shady to just expect an extra ten bucks out of someone. I probably will go to a different shop from now on that doesnt tack on charges that I didnt ask for.

Sunnyside offers the ultimate experience in customer service. Their people really care and go the extra mile to get happy riders back on the trail. When my Mojo came into their shop for a tune and they discovered a crack in the frame, they had a replacement frame delivered and my entire bike rebuilt within three days and the cost came in under estimate. And thats just one of many examples of how they constantly exceed my expectations. I cant say enough about Sunnyside.

Sunnyside is my go to for all things bike and cross country ski. There are numerous options in bend (most all very good) but the staff at sunnyside consistently has me coming back. Super knowledgeable crew with an old school bend local feel. Service is definitely priority with an always ready and willing employee to talk options, latest products, or just provide helpful recommendations.

I used sunny side for one bike rental and one bike repair. The rental bike was in great shape and was a higher-end model than I expected (yeti T1). For the repair of my personal bike, the staff were great to work with, communication was thorough, multiple repair options were provided and JW was patient with my decision. The repair was fast (under 24 hours), and my bike was a ton cleaner than when I dropped it off, which made it feel like a new bike!

Sure...Sunnyside has great cycling and cross country gear but what sets them apart is their service. After a crash, they replaced my rear derailleur while I waited (in 20 minutes). They took complete care of a warranty return to one of their manufacturers. They delivered a new forest pass to my car curbside. They stand behind their products and do the little stuff that makes them the best in town.

Im a bike junkie so Ive bought more rides from shops than the average person and Ive had many custom bikes built over the last 10 years... Sunnyside is at the top of my list now. Their care factor is unreal. Frankie was wonderful and helped me out through the process. I own a company here in Bend, Oregon and I know a well ran place when I see it. I highly recommend them.
