I stopped in to get my glasses adjusted and didn’t realize it was by appointment only until I got to the door. Alicia was so great and fit me in between customers so that I didn’t have to schedule an appointment for a later time.

Horrible experience. Their system was down when I initially made my appointment so when it came time to schedule my follow up they couldn’t put me on the schedule which I understood. They promised to call me in two weeks to schedule that appointment but I never got a call. I understood because their system was down so maybe the notes weren’t saved. I called in to schedule the appointment but got a voicemail so I left a message never got a call back. I called back again and decided to just order my contacts without the follow up appointment and was told I’d receive a call when the contacts were ready for pick up. Again no call it’s been over three weeks. I called and left a voicemail last week and again no one has called me back.

Just went in to have my pupillary distance measured a few weeks ago but the staff was nice and it’s a beautiful office

It was my first visit today. I havent done eye exams for about 5 years and AMAZING experience at Spectacle with all the staffs! The Doctor explained things very clear and easy to follow. Sarah who is one of their opticians was super friendly and nice!! Cant wait to get my new glasses and I already recommended this place to my friend whos considering to get a new pair of eye glasses as well as an annual eye exam ;)

He stays up to date on the latest opthalmology advancements and truly cares about helping his patients. Elora has also been super helpful with my copay questions and helping out with tracking my contact shipment. All staff at both locations is great!

Spectacle is hands down my favorite optometrist (Dr. Marc Schmitt) and optician (Sarah) ever. Both offices are stylish and hightech and they carry a large variety of luxury and moderately priced eyewear. Most importantly, all of their staff are beyond exceptional in terms of their customer service. Sarah listened to my needs for glasses and was able to pick-out what I wanted right away! Shes amazing. Dr. Schmitt is the most comprehensive optometrist I have ever seen. I feel incredibly confident with my eye health under his care. Highly, highly recommend.

Sarah was very attentive to my needs and honest about her opinion. You could tell that she loves what she does and her work reflects it! I work close by so Spectacle was very convenient for me. Beyond that, I had a fantastic visit. Sarah greeted me and was warm and friendly, Max did all the pre-testing and he was great. The equipment that they use is state of the art. I have family history that could be a concern for me but all of the new technology put all of that concern at rest. Dr. Anderson took the time to explain all of the results and helped me to really understand. Overall, this was the best visit I have had to an optometrist. Thank you for such a great visit!

This place is fantastic! My eye exam was probably the most thorough and enjoyable exam I’ve ever had. Picking out glasses was easy and smooth. I chose a pair from Denmark and when they arrived, Sarah was pumped to show them to me. She went through my lens options and was able to break down the cost with my work discounts. Also, she remembered me from a previous visit and asked how my plans went that night. She’s wonderful!

Honestly the most comprehensive eye exam Ive received in my life. The staff is friendly, attentive, thorough, knowledgeable, patient and honest. They pay attention to your history and lifestyle in order to give you what you need without trying to upsell. I felt like I could try on every frame in the store without being a bother but I didnt have to because they know their inventory. The moment I got a little more specific with what I was looking for, Elora went straight to the frames I ended up buying. Then I got my hardware just 3 days after my appointment. I usually almost never write reviews so when I leave one, that means my experience far exceeded expectations. From the start to the end every single staff members were friendly and helpful - they were patient, kind, and thorough. Dr Schmitt provided one of the most comprehensive eye exam followed by a detailed explanation of my overall eye/vision health. He also had a gentle sense of humor which goes a long way. The frames are definitely on the more expensive side, but you get what you pay for. The Myktia frames I chose is the most comfortable frame I owned - I forget sometimes that Im even wearing it. Strongly recommend this place.

I have been visiting Spectacle’s Portland location for three years. This new location is absolutely fantastic! Dr Smith is very caring and offers advice to patients in the most effective way, not the most profitable way to a Doctor. I had dryness problem, he offered heat pads treatment, which is home care and free of charge. The frames here are stellar, light weight, suitable for any facial structure, western high nose bridge, Asian flat nose bridge. I purchase one or two frames from this office every year, Lindberg and Mykita are just the lightest frames you could find in the world with cool styles!

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Schmitt and his team for a number of years and are so excited for their new Cedar Hills location. They are all genuine, kind, and caring individuals. Not only do they always provide exceptional service and offer a great selection of frames in a fun and welcoming atmosphere, but they truly care about people and value the relationships with their clients. This place was AMAZING! I live quite a ways away (Tillamook) but wanted to find an optometrist I really enjoyed going to. I went to the Cedar Hills location for new glasses/contact prescription, and can only describe the people there as phenomenal! Dr. Schmitt was fantastic, and allowed me to geek out with him about all the new technology. He made sure to fully explain everything that was being done, how the tests worked, and how to interpret everything I was seeing. Afterwards, Sarah was super sweet and helped me pick out the perfect frames for my face. Im fairly picky when it comes to choosing glasses, and she was so patient, kind, and helpful. I will be going back for a colored contact fitting (for Halloween), and will also have another appointment to talk about the possibility of Lasik in my future. 100% recommend these fantastical people!

Specticales in Beaverton is amazing the staff Jessica, Max, Mark and Dr. Shmitt are all knowledgeable and polite. Mark and Jessica help me pick some fabulous glasses to change up my look. Max kept me inform every step of the way on the multiple test. Dr. Shmitt was honest, calm, cool and collective. Most importantly I was well informed about everything that was going on with my eyes. I would highly recommend Speciticales the Beaverton location to everyone. Great place, beautiful atmoshphere and superb customer service. All smiles and great energy.

Twice I have tried to do business with Spectacle. They seem to play hard to get when it comes to appointments and COVID policies that are stricter than at my doctors office. The place is always empty when I walk by, I dont get it. Went to a competitor and bought $1,850 of glasses last week.
