Honestly the only reason this place gets business is because of location and convenience. It’s not all bad. The workers are nice and the place stays clean and mostly organized. The problems are with products (which is the whole reason you come). The produce isn’t always fresh and can linger on the edge of being bad. The meat selection is terrible DO NOT BUY MEAT !!! The cherry on top is the unnecessarily high borderline ridiculous pricing of a lot of items. I don’t hate the place though like I said it’s close.

I usually would go to this market because it carried multitude of ethnic products that I would usually have a hard time looking for elsewhere. However, on my recent visit I was shocked to discover that the market had labeled a whole section of Pork as halal. This was instantly concerning as I usually did purchase their halal meat items. If the market is also labeling their pork as halal, I am not certain if I can trust their labeling on any meat or special diet items. Clearly, I suspect a major breach of halal meat certification guidelines. Theres a high likelihood that if the other meat items are actually halal, they are probably processed and packaged at the same stations as pork leading to cross contamination. However, my worst fear is that the market has been dishonest and falsifying their meat products as halal slapping stickers any items they see fit. Im genuinely mortified and feel like there has been a major breach in consumer trust. Im disappointed that I have to stop shopping here.

The best place for Fresh Sushi. Just be careful with the meat section (very seldom fresh) Prices a little steep, but it great to have a market in the downtown area.

A gem in Mt. Vernon offers good produce, hot prepared food and quality products.

Pretty nice ,but some prices are too high,like that Crabmeat $50.00 and $35.00,Extremely to High.ill stick to Harvest fare Market.just have to travel for the best price which they are not high $25.00 thats about right.Thank You, store looks nice and clean and the its not gouching prices I hope not!

Good solid grocery store in the heart of Baltimore. The layout is a bit odd and sometimes feels like a maze but its well worth exploring. In addition to all the standard staples anyone would expect in a grocery store theres a fair amount of international items in particular from Eastern Europe. They also have decent selections of Asian and Hispanic foods although those tend to be more common than stuff like Kashkaval (Bulgarian Sheeps Milk Cheese that is sold here). Their produce is usually fresh and their meat looks decent although a wider selection of organic items from each wouldnt hurt. They have plenty of prepared food that looks decent but nothing spectacular although I rarely buy that type of stuff. Prices are decent, not as cheap as Safeway but nowhere near Whole Foods.

Very nice place, my first time. It reminded me of Harris Teeter. Clean store, good presentation and ten minutes from my home. Would recommend.

The food is okay, could be much better. I always stop in for a snack, bottled water and some fruit. Got pleasantly surprised last week when I picked up some head on shrimp that were super fresh. I will have to try those again sometime soon.

Street market is always well stocked the food is very fresh they have the best fried fish on the hot plate ...all in all the store is good.... you want freshness thats what you need to go!! Oh and you can sit outside and eat your food

🗣 Regarding parking here,,,,there is only 5 spaces of parking out front, (BUT) around the corner from this streets market roughly 200 feet away is a parking lot where once you pay for your items the cashier @ streets market will validate your parking pass for free parking, and though this market is small (like trying to wear a pair of pants size 40 when your really a 42), its ok size wise and you can get by for a limited time before it becomes uncomfortable after awhile, this market is similar in the fact that its ok for limited shopping, but if you are in a rush and simply need a few items and your near this market, its worth stopping in...*Again its small but cute...Friendly busy staff, and overall the customers are nice....*With a nice mixture of Latino, white, asian, Arab, black,native Americans , just like the United nations, except here we ALL get along....*Stay cool my fellow Americans and your also Mi Amigos

Today I was shocked about how the sushi was made. You could clearly see the salmon wasnt cut with sharp knife due to the amount of white flesh in the salmon. It didnt have that bright coral color that scream I AM FRESH!.

Stopped by here after reading all the positive reviews. I was shocked to find such a large selection of Korean, Japanese and Indian products! Fresh produce looks great. Was in a bit of a rush so only picked up a few goods but will be back.

A convenient place to get a few basics and a lot of less common items. However, a lot of items can be pretty pricey at Streets (though not all! produce especially can be very reasonable), so I tend to consider it a last resort.

I’d rate it 0 stars if I could. The manager of the store is never present to respond to issues and many of the employees have their masks off. The one time the manager was present, he was not wearing a mask talking over the “fresh” food with other mask less employees. New management is needed.

The only reason why I gave it 4 stars and not 5 stars, was because some of the items didnt have prices on them! I love going to this market because they carry things that I dont see in other markets.Its not a huge market but they carry a lot of unique items that I was willing to give a try, like garlic paste and ginger paste. They had limes 5 for $1.00. Then the had my Carbolic soap. That was my main reason for going here on this visit.I am not a soda drinker, but they had all the Rock Creek flavors (Grape, Strawberry, Lime, Peach, and Fruit Punch) I would have brought 2 each just for summer fun! But that would have been too much for me to carry.My only complaint is the narrow parking lot in that strip mall. Other than that it is a good place to check out!

Fresh fruit salads are amazing nice and clean .Was happy to find a grocery store that had friendly employees and helpful especially when you are a visitor

Great find, fresh produce, fish, and meats. Make sure to ask more than one staff member if looking for something special, two separate times I was told they didnt have, once someone shopping brought to me, another time I found. Found out there is more than one, when I met a staff member while out and about.

A great grocery store to go to, especially if you live in the Mount Vernon Area or Downtown. You dont have to worry about driving because you can walk there. 9/10 times theyre gonna have what you need for daily household and grocery needs. Also they have a nice little hot food bar there if you just feel like getting a bite to eat.

I love this market. It can be a little pricey, but I get quality products that are fresh. The sushi is pretty good and I love the Boarshead sandwiches. I will definitely be going back.

This place is unclean. I stepped in this store less than 5 times for just the fruit which is by the door. I regret going further the 4th time .... I picked up a brownie from their bakey section to find it was FILLED with ants! The ants were crawling out of the brownie and all over the other things in my basket. I immediately went to the front that looks like it could be a managers office to tell them. A guy took it and gave me a Oh, no. Thats bad remark, took the brownieand kept it moving. I left everything thing there and made my way out. The only thing I left with was more ants. Some of them were crawling on me! Thats so disgusting! The health department should be on this stores door step!

Never disappointed at Streets market and they keep the place very clean. I feel safe shopping there. Its also conveniently located between the Merritt Club and my home.

A nice grocery store right in the middle of downtown Baltimore. They usually have fresh produce and meat but sometimes you may find expired products so you always have to pay attention on that. It is not cheap but prices are reasonable. Friendly staff overall.

Enjoy the market but if the white one followed you and I never see him follow white people. They make fun of customers too. Just because you think I do not speak the same language means nothing. 19 minutes in the drive thru, staff was unprofessional by being a mute, food was made wrong and it was cold. If I could give this negative 5 stars I would.

The Hispanic women at the register are incredibly rude. They’ve made a terrible shopping experience for me on several occasions (I almost never leave reviews; never for a grocery store). Management please address their behavior as it will fend off long time patrons.

Good Health Food Type Grocery Store. It has tons of variety and good food to choose from. They even have delicious sushi. It gets a plus in my book.

Nice market to go to downtown if nothing else is close. They have many healthy choices. They have many Asian noodles and treats. Great place to try Red Bean ice cream which was surprisingly tasty. Sometimes meats and seafood are not fresh (taste and smell bad when you open it)but labeled in date. This happened with a box of cookies except the box was out of date. Was always able to return any of these items and get a full refund. However, this would be the last place I’d get meat or seafood.

I love this market for its products. All my fresh produce choices were available. First time there, Ill have to get used to the setup cause the aisles are a little weird. Not all the workers speak english which delayed my finding certain items. I was in hurry but I will be going back.

Wonderful Atmosphere Stayed a couple of block away and enjoyed several meals and a coffee break. It has a wonderful atmosphere and would shop there regularly if I lived in the area.

Its not open till 10, they close 30 mins earlier.

Incorrect prices on items and when you show the cashier, they just apologize without correcting the issue or honoring the listed price.

A Winner! New to the area and stumbled onto a gem, day 1. Friendly staff, interesting enticing products mixed with a plethora of fresh, organic & clean-eating staples at reasonable prices. I was very pleased to find exactly what I needed, like chobani coconut yogurt, on sale at $1.00 each today( same price as a big chain grocery sale with downtown easy access convenience).

Dropped into Cross Street Market to see what it looked like after renovation. My friend lived near there years ago and said that it had changed. Looks like its going to be a fun place when it is finished. Has a taco place, a nice market to buy raw meats like steak. There are also ice cream stands and a chicken rotisserie place. In the center of it all you can visit CANS and have a craft draft beer or a can of something. The beer list is vast and great. This place allows you to meet a group of friends and share a drink while everyone has different foods. This place is going to be a great meeting place when it is finished at the end of this year. Cant wait to see it!

This is the best grocery store walkable from Mount Vernon. It has a great variety of Asian food and a pretty impressive hot bar.
