The prices reasonable but the selection is a lot less then other stores. The good thing about this store is no wait lines, so thats a plus. I know better stores with better prices.

You can get affordable grocery here. The other big Supermarket prices are way to high. if you are budgeting your money this Is a good place to go.

Pros: Good produce at good prices. Usually 1 great meat sale each week.Cons: Very limited selection on other items. Usually have to shop here for my produce and then elsewhere for the rest of my list.

A great grocery store with a variety of food items. The store has wide aisles and is not too crowded and is wheelchair accessible. Lots of available parking. This location is in a plaza with a lot of other stores that can make your life so convenient: a cleaners, Chinise and Korean restaurant, advance auto care, a pharmacy, ice cream and donut shop and more. It makes coming out to do groceries that much more worthwhile.

We live in Mt. Vernon and we make the walk to Save A Lot almost every other day. They have the best price for the coffee that we drink, canned goods, onions, potatoes, and kale / collards. We also buy our meat in bulk here and they have regular discounts that are hard to beat anywhere in the neighborhood. There is also plenty of parking.Fore-mostly, during this epidemic, their staff has been excellent at following Covid-19 guidelines and have remained positive and pleasant throughout these strange times. Highly recommended!

This place is dreadfully awful, flies around produce, not very clean but unfortunately people go because its convenient and not many markets close in the neighborhood. On the positive note, friendly staff!

Cheap prices on just about everything in the store. Only problem Ive had, is some times they are real busy but yet they only have one cashier lane open. Also when you go either take your own bags there bags cost not to sure how much never bought one. I have one hint for you tho bags cost if you walk down the isle you can use the card board boxs to put your items in as well

Very uncomfortable getting pass the pan handlers, food stamp sellers and drifters hang outside the store doors. The situation discourage us from patronizing. Management needs to do something.

A good resource in the neighborhood! Would love to see Save A Lots corporation put some money into the store and renovate it to better service the people in the area. It has a lot of potential with its location. This stores hours are convenient too.

Really competitive prices with a lot of the same Rams you would see in giant or Safeway for much much lower prices. You just have come the Isles. Great option for some name brand goods and meats. Lots of other Bargains as well. The only huge flaw is people hanging around outside trying to ask you for money, or sell you something.

Never have enough staff on the registers to maintain the lines. Staff is friendly.

The worse food ever. MY daughter who lives in Richmond Virginia Ubered me breakfast and lunch from The Crestlyn Kitchen Restuarant for my Birthday...I have pitures and will post them later.

Terrible selections sub par service and bags and carts are a quarter each. Out of date stock as well. A shopper must be very careful to not buy spoiled food.

I especially liked the deals given with the marked down items - it makes sense to lower the price of items that need to be sold by a certain date.I did notice a security guard, which tells me either something happened/may happen, safety-wise....but because of him it did make me feel more safe. Cashier could have been nicer, but I suppose she was just having a bad day.Overall, great first experience - Ill be back!

There are a lot of things that this market should have. No cheaper mayo, no strawberry syrup in the ice cream section. A lot of the fruit has to be bought in bulk.

Lived in Baltimore for 5 years and somehow kept missing this place. The savings are awesome and the food is good quality. Staff is polite and they have low cost but efficient anti-theft measures including for the carts. Im making this my main grocer not just for the prices but for ease of convenience

Save-A-Lot is one of my favorite places I love that

Very reasonable prices and a pretty good selection of name brand items that are still priced much better than the big name supermarkets. The store is always clean and brightly lit and the cashiers are always friendly. However, the store manager leaves a lot to be desired with his attitude and people skills in customer service. On 2 occasions I have had to ask him about items that were not on the shelf and he reacted as if I were truly bothering him. One of the times he told me that it was in the back but he wasnt bringing them out yet. Another time I was charged more than the displayed price and he initially said that the item was correctly priced on my receipt and when I asked him to come and look at the shelf again I got that You are bothering me attitude. Other than my experiences and him I really like the store.

Save -A - Lot as always been a Great place to shop and very reasonable prices

The prices here are great, and the some of the goods are unique. The downside is that you will always wait at the checkout. Bring your own bags. They will give or sell you plastic bags, but you need to bag your own groceries after the cashier has put them into a cart.

I like this market great for basic staples and good staffers on duty. Orderly and clean place, good parking and great layout of the shopping center. Food, Dry Cleaners, Laundromat, Donut Shop, Auto Parts Store, near a gas station, and Interstate 83 north and south.

Need to have more meats out in the morning.You have a time for seniors but there are no meats to choose from.

Very poor service, sort of good prices. I would not go but its the cheapest option on my route to work if i had money wouldnt mind going else where poor selection on meets best cut of steak is sirloin. And they charge u 10 cents a bag wow ......

Small store with limited, mostly off brand selections. Produce has the basics and is fresh. I am slightly put off by odors near meat cases, which makes me cautious about buying meat here. I buy other sealed and dated items when I need something quick on my way home. Prices seem a little high to me, especially in such a low maintenance warehouse set up. Put off that they operate this way catering to housing complex for seniors and disabled across the street.

All right store but I like food depot better

Staff is mismanaged. Always long line. Store only opens one line dispite having long lines and numerous staff members. Ironically, the store is empty. I think good. I can purchase my item and go. Hell no not a Save-a-lot. The male cashier says i have to wait. I have never seen such a store in my life. The store is ghetto fabulous. I just left my stuff and walked out. If the store cared about its customer, it would make adjustments.

Clean, organized store, awesome security and awesome cashiers. The meat department was missing some of my Thanksgiving pork products but thats ok I found a substitute. Always a pleasure to shop at Save-A-Lot. Oh need a few more cashiers lines get long fast.

These stores can be good if youre on a budget. Usually you can tell they try to keep it clean however be careful to inspect of the food on sale.

Love shopping at Maryland Ave location, very clean, nice employees, always in stock, love the prices... Ive been to almost every save a lot location and I travel all the way from where I live to only go there. I even stopped shopping at Price rite to come there. Only thing thats needed in there is clean public restroom.

Assemble. keep there aisles full plus and the Morning for one hour before they officially open 50 plus get to shop only .Thats wonderful.

Very clean, neat, well stocked. Would be great if u could take the cart to ur car instead of going back and forth. Maybe have a worker help people since u cant take the cart, or do the 25cent cart chain thing so people will return the carts. As an older individual going back and forth is a pain.
