They got me on the schedule for a same day appointment to do an exam for the MVA, and saw me right away even though I showed up 40 minutes early for my appointment because I was trying to make it back to the MVA before 4 to finish renewing my license. The whole staff was overwhelmingly kind and helpful. I couldnt have had a better experience, and even though the MVA made my day incredibly stressful, visiting this office was the brighter part of my day.

I had a pleasant experience here. I was happy with the Covid safety precautions like disinfecting the frames and the rooms after each use. I had a pleasant conversation with Julian. He was very professional and I enjoyed talking to him while waiting for the doctor. I got to pick out some great frames and even got a free pair of sunglasses with my contact purchase. I have been a longtime customer and I always enjoy my experience.

What’s the point in having a website/appointment booking portal if it’s not actually going to book my appointment? I had an eye exam for 1/21/21 and got all the way there just for them to say there’s no record of an appointment for me. Also that the website hasn’t been updated in years. On top of that I still couldn’t be seen the same day and I was told they don’t accept my insurance.. even though I needed my insurance information to book the appointment in the first place.Then was told I could make an appointment for February instead. No thanks.The Towson location is far more convenient and gave a more than satisfactory experience.Not even an apology for all of this mess, just turned away. A complete waste of time.

Dont be put off by the bad reviews; this MyEyeDr is phenomenal. I had an amazing experience when I went to get an eye exam and new glasses. The staff is friendly and super helpful. I was nervous because of the bad reviews, but they must just have been having a bad week. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and asked to sanitize my hands and wear one of their surgical masks. I was allowed to try on glasses, which they disinfected after use. 10/10 customer service, and absolutely amazing on Covid safety.

Honestly surprised by the amount of negative reviews here. I don’t know if my experience was affected by being the first patient of the day but was greeted promptly and in a very welcoming way. Exam was quick and painless and felt like they were very on top of disinfecting everything. Doctor was thorough and very open to questions. Seamless process to use my insurance and ended up with a sweet new pair of sunglasses for free! Extremely convenient and positive experience start to finish.

Went for my eye exam. I was able to clearly read all the letters....on the were closed sign that they posted on the door. I was outside of a closed business wondering with 5 other people why we didnt get a courtesy cancellation call after we all took a day off work. If you have time to go there to put up a sign, you have time to notify me

Absolutely miserable experience. After speaking with a representative 7 times over the span of 2 months, they finally told me that my glasses may have been lost in transit. Requested a refund that took another 2 months to receive. They dont answer the phone 90% of the time. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Since COVID, customers apparently arent able to walk in to pick up their orders and are instead instructed to call ahead and schedule an appointment. So I have been calling them for the past 2 months to schedule a time to pick up my contacts. However, they dont answer the phone despite weekly attempts at different times of day and leaving multiple voice messages. I finally received a call back from them a few days ago and apparently theyre closed and now need to ship my contacts to me. Now I cant get my rebate because its over the time limit. Absolutely ridiculous.

Horrible customer service. The gentleman at the front needs a pair of thin and lightweight lenses. All staff very incompetent and must not be properly trained, but, I got the vibe they are all LAZY! Save your money and RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS TRAIN-WRECK OF AN OPTICAL shop!

Recently I went in for new glasses frames for the first time in 10 years which is a huge change for me. I didnt have any friends with me to give me opinions on frames but the staff, especially David (thank you!!), were extremely helpful. I found glasses and Rx sunglasses that fit me well and Ive since gotten a lot of compliments on my new frames. People tell me my eyes are brighter and that the frames look like they were made for my face - high praise! The doctors are very knowledgeable and kind also. Ive always had good service at this location and Ive been going here for a few years now. I highly recommend them!

First of I’d like to say that I’ve been wearing contacts for over 20 years and have been to several eye doctors offices. I have never made any of them my home due to horrible experiences and rudeness. This place was the total opposite. I was really impressed with the staff upfront. Everything was just perfect. The doctor was wonderful and didn’t rush the exam. Everyone were so friendly and took care of all of my needs and made me feel at home. I will be returning with my whole family who by the way wears glasses or contacts. I really loved this place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a eye doctor to call home. I have been calling this location for weeks and have not received a call back to pick up glasses that were supposed to be ready September 15 (from a September 3 appt). I am tired of the COVID excuses. The staff are too laxed for me. I will be seeking out a private practice and will avoid this chain forever. How do you not return calls after a person has paid their money? Terrible business and service.....I am on the phone with the corporate office hoping to get a refund.

I was really impressed with the service here. Each staff member patiently and thoroughly explained each part of the process from the exam to the multitude of options for glasses and contact lenses. Dominic was a friendly face to walk into - enthusiastic and kind. Dr. Patel was meticulous during the exam and very attune to answer any of my questions or concerns. She put me at ease - something I rarely experience with doctors. The clerk who helped me look for a pair of glasses helped me get a great deal that I took at the time, but declined later as it ended up being out of my budget. However, when I called back to cancel the order, the staff was more than accommodating and did not make me feel guilty. They were respectful and quick, and I appreciated their thoroughness. Overall, this is the best experience I have had at an optometrist office, and I hope to continue going here as long as I live in the city. It is conveniently located in Canton Crossing so when you are done with your exam, you can grab a bite to eat or run errands!

Great office energy and friendly staff there was a very helpful gentleman named Dominick that helped me several times when Ive stopped in to browse frames. I also have had great experiences with a girl with locks at this location and I just cant remember her name even though she told me. I usually see a family optometrist and use my RX for sunglasses. The only recommendation is more designer sunglasses. I will be back!

I had an excellent experience with everyone at MyEyeDr. The exam was great but the staff at the front desk was particularly amazing. Following my visit I had an issue with my bill and Tracy took it upon herself to fix everything on her own without me making any calls to insurance. They really go the extra mile. If you need an eye Dr. this is the place to go.

Ive been to this location twice. The first time I admit was a quick in and out cause I much rather buy my glasses on line so I was quick to dismiss their contact pitch. This time I wanted contacts, but I havent had them in 8plus years. Again the Dr gets all excited to pitch the contacts. You have great insurance, you can get these contacts. Ignorance on my end, my insurance can afford them, but I couldnt. I found the front to be the most helpful. But after all that, to have contacts that arent comfortable because its whatever brand shes pushing and not even be the correct prescription cause were not correcting for the astigmatism even after telling her that my vision was poor with them. Again, i appreciate the front service, but im not sure ill be returning.

Worst customer service ever. Called to ask for a simple PD measurement and was told I was not allowed to have it with out a signed release. B/S. The worst part was the condescension and actually being yelled at, then hung up on when I got heated. BAD training. If she worked for me and treated a patient, even if they were wrong, she would be let go immediately. So I called another location and a very nice person gave me my PD in 30 seconds and said have a nice day.I won’t be back, and the patients that come in my office will not get a referral.Dr.MJM

The front staff was friendly but I wasnt to impressed with the Optometrist. She rushed my exam which made me feel it wasnt going to be accurate. She started wiping down things while I was to be served. Just felt this shouldve been done prior to me getting inside the room. Though we might get busy we cant forget the overall customer service. This was my first visit.

Selection was alright but only really liked one frame. Over two weeks after ordering (and paying) for the glasses I get a call saying they are discontinued. To make things worse, a week after ordering I called and was told they would be in any day now and then came in on the due date and was told they should be in that day.Needless to say I requested the money be returned to my credit card and they can’t even get that done.

Just called to inquire about a pair of glasses, a brand they sell, and the salesperson (no name given) says we dont order that brand thats another department... department not given... Ask for model number so he can check but ask me to call back Thursday??? never ask for a name or gives his...huh...what? Never mind, Ill go elsewhere. Dude seemed unengaged and unlikely to look up anything.

I did not receive quality service. I told the front desk woman and Dr. Patel that I was not ready to place the order for my contacts. After my contacts exam, they told me that I needed to take the trial pairs out of my eyes and give them back. I have not had other doctors treat me this. I will never go back here or any of the locations.

Took my daughter for a red, painful eye last week to My Eye Doctor in Canton. The Doctor at my eye Dr told us she had irritation and inflammation and gave us steroids. No follow up appointment suggested. The next day my daughter had extreme pain so we saw another eye doctor on call. The new Doctor diagnosed her with an eye ulcer and infection and we have to see that Doctor daily until it clears since it can threaten her vision. The new Doctor took her off the steroids and put her on an antibiotic. We called My Eye Doctor and advised of the situation and I was told they would leave a message for the Manager. The Manager has never even bothered to return our call.

My appointment and contact fitting was September 11. I still don’t have my contact lenses. My insurance was verified but I’m receiving invoices for my fitting fee even though the manager “took care of it” and I have paid for my contacts. To say I am disappointed is a severe understatement.

What a ridiculous establishment. My appt was a few months ago, but it was a mess because one of the workers was walking around complaining the entire time, so it left just 1 person working- who was running around like a chicken without a head. When I went back to pick up my contacts, that same person was laying on the desk at the front playing on her phone. She couldn’t pick her head up to be bothered once.Today, I called with a question about my prescription (I had to call 5 times to get through), I was told they could not give that information to me over the phone because it was a HIPPA violation. I WORK IN HEALTHCARE- that is not a HIPPA VIOLATION. I really had to wait for them to email my prescription just to figure out what contact went in what eye (which I still haven’t received). POOR CARE. I will most certainly not be back.

Dr. Shruti Patel and the staff at MyEyeDr are wonderful! The front desk was super helpful in making sure my insurance and all my forms were sorted quickly and efficiently (I like that you can pre-fill out the forms in a personal online MyEyeDr account should you choose).Dr. Patel is very friendly, knowledgable, and made helpful suggestions when choosing new contact brands. She was thorough in her exam and in her responses to my questions.My 2 critiques of the place:1. The online appointment booking system requires 24-48 hours before you are able to confirm your time. It is a national booking system so I guess they need to confirm with the local offices that the appt slot is still available? I tried to book after office hours online and it took awhile to get a response. I suggest calling if you are looking for an immediate confirmation.2. The MyEyeDr frames and lenses are expensive!I ended up taking my prescription to Warby Parker in Harbor East where I got beautiful frames and high-level, feather-thin prescription lenses for a TOTAL of $120. I was blown away! I had a WB optometrist come out to me (no waiting in line forever or pre-booking an appt) to review my prescription, take measurements, and confirm my glasses order on a tablet right then and there (which they mail to you within 7 days). No pressure - and if you are unhappy with your glasses for any reason, you can return them. SUPER EASY AND AFFORDABLE!So my advice: Get your exam and prescription from Dr. Shruti Patel at MyEyeDr then go to Warby PArker for your glasses.
