This was the home of Komé which has moved down the street. What always felt like too small of a space for a restaurant works wonderfully well as a coffee shop/eatery. The menu is Japanese focused and the menu has good offerings for vegetarians and people looking for gluten free. Nice seasonal drinks and the food I got was tasty. Nice relaxing atmosphere for working or just hanging. My only minuses are the parking lot is super small and they are on the opposite side of town from where I live.

This was soooo delicious! The coffee is really good, and doesn’t need any creamer or anything. Got the toast, and it was perfect. My friend and I shared a chicken katsu plate too, and it was yummy. 10/10 would recommend- it is a little expensive but that’s to be expected with small businesses and good quality

Really nice coffee shop and eatery. Great selection of food with different tastes and diet options for everybody. I had the sausage and waffle fries which was absolutely delicious. My coffee was great too and free refills with drip coffee. Nice space with good natural and artificial lighting. Also a good environment for both studying and chatting.

I ordered sa-ten’s New Year’s Eve special of salmon and Wagyu beef. Also picked up some sandwiches when I picked up the NYE dinner for my wife and I. Had never eaten here before, so the “sandos” were our first time trying it. After one bite my wife and I agree this is our new favorite place. The NYE dinner was out of this world and fed us for a few days. Also, on our way home they called to let us know they forgot the potato salad and would deliver it. We said not to worry about it since we live 45 min away, but chef moto himself still brought it to us.. and we are glad he did because it was so tasty. chef moto is clearly someone who cares about his customers and has high integrity when it comes to his craft of cooking. we can’t wait to try it again...like maybe every time we pass by.

Stopped in on a Saturday morning for a late breakfast. I got lavender black tea and a smoked salmon toast, my dining companion tried the egg and sausage toast and a Chai latte. Both toasts and drinks were exceptional. As a tea lover I appreciated their selection: lattes, green teas, black teas and more! The bread used for the toast is super thick and fluffy. The egg toast was topped with an egg salad and the smoked salmon toast was more of a smoked salmon spread. The ambiance is very relaxed, and the service was quick and friendly. I can see myself becoming a regular here, it was just that good.

We love this place! The minimalist styling inside washed over by chill beats from the hifi give Sa-Tén a familiar and comforting feel. The milk toasts are incredibly delicious. My partner and I ordered the Norikama toast and the Honey toast. We’d highly recommend both. Our barista was super nice and made a brown butter cappuccino which blew me away, and that set me up for a great day. The almond milk they use is unsweetened which made my partner’s almond milk latte refreshingly smooth. We will definitely be coming back!

I went between 6:30 and 7 pm. The lattes are good. Great place to study or work remotely. I didnt have any food so I have no comment on that. They have a public printer (not sure if they charge or not). The music selection was nice background music, nothing too distracting. Unlike a Starbucks, the noise level is low and there were plenty of two top and 3+ top tables. Most of the people there were in study groups. I liked it.

I’d like to like Sa-Ten more, but they mess up to-go orders for food at least half of the time. Staff routinely seem to lack training, which makes me suspect that management is out of their depth. This said, when the order is right, it’s a nice change of pace from other nearby spots that offer takeout. I like to get one of their plates with the rice and a double order of kale, and they have decent waffle fries too.

I went into Sa-Ten at Canopy this morning and ordered a coffee with a shot of espresso in my own 12 oz mug and it was $5.95! I know Austin rent is high and coffee has to cover the cost, but yikes, the new Austin may be too expensive for everyone who works in it to afford coffee at that price. It feels really weird to have a place in the middle of artists spaces priced where no one can afford a Red Eye.
