Maha is a home away from home. I visit every morning and am met with love, community, and delicious gluten-free baked goods and the best cup of matcha Ive ever had. Ive never felt more joy in supporting a local business that feels like family. Maha is also a peaceful place to work, and Erinn and Mark have created a truly wonderful vibe in this South Austin gem.

I love Maha!!! Since I discovered them several months ago my husband and I are among their many regulars. My favorite is the cardamon latte he loves the kundalini coffee. The owner makes cardamon syrup from scratch. She also makes all of the baked goods which are GF and DF! You can taste and feel the love oozing from this place and its not just coming from the cinnamon rolls! So happy Maha moved in :)

If you go regularly they remember your order, their gluten free pastries are to die for (and im not GF), a selection of fresh juices by the bottle but their lavendar lattes are great. I just have to say the vibe is intimate and you see the same faces, they always bring your coffee out to you if youre waiting outside and they are quick. ill be a longtime customer!

Hello, heaven! As someone with Celiac disease, finding good gluten free treats can be tough. Then I discovered Maha...game changer. Everyone is SO kind and knowledgeable. The food is delicious. Great coffee.I had the cinnamon roll a few days ago and I’m still dreaming about it. Crossing my fingers they have it again tomorrow because I know I won’t be able to stay away! Very COVID safe as they do take out + have outside seating.

Cute place, but stingy with coffee. For $4.5 for a 16oz cold brew, you get 13 oz of ice, and 3 oz of coffee. Im sorry but i dont care how great the vibes are, if I can finish 1/2 the coffee walking out of the shop then its a waste of time and energy.I dont drink much coffee, so me and my bf always share when we get coffee, but it was one of those awkward situations where theres so little, that neither person wants to seem selfish and drink whats barely there... like the last piece of cake! I felt like the entire time i was rationing myself.Please dont fill the coffee to the brim with ice for cold brew that isnt even strong to begin with (see the color of the coffee in the photo). Very disappointing especially when its the closest coffee shop walking distance :(Giving 2 stars bc the person was nice and the place was cute, but if not for that, the coffee was disappointing

Overall it was great service and the staff was very friendly, but the drinks were not worth it. I ordered a matcha latte and I could hardly taste the matcha flavor. In addition, my sister ordered their lavender espresso drink and there was no hints of lavender through the whole drink. Personally would not got back:(

Such a cute place! I came in Sunday afternoon for a black coffee and a slice of chocolate chip pumpkin bread. Absolutely delicious! Will be coming back often! Every pastry is made by the owner and its gluten free.

This place apparently doesnt care much about customer service. They took my order and then made about six orders between mine and when they actually started to make mine. Definitely dont go here if youre in a hurry. The drinks were good but the experience was terrible

Maha is the sweetest little nook on South Lamar!! From the moment you walk in you are made to feel at home and like you are a part of the Maha community. The drink menu is carefully considered and the food menu is absolutely next level and changes every single day. Maha has been a haven for me during the pandemic and I am so grateful for this little gem with amazing food and drinks and sweet caring staff!!

I love Maha! They have the best chai latte in town. Its clear they pour their heart and soul into their business. Last week when Austin was frozen over and grocery stores were empty, the owner MADE oat and nut milks from scratch so they could still open for their customers. Incredible! I personally love that all of their delicious baked goods are gluten free and made with clean, healthy ingredients. Highly recommend!

Found this cute coffee shop while visiting Austin. They were super friendly and the lavender iced coffee was Amaaaazing! I wish it would have been bigger haha. I savored that little drink. I will definitely be back to try the Golden.

Best specialty coffee, baked goods, and people in Austin HANDS DOWN!!! Everything is made in house from scratch - the syrups, the bread, the cakes, the quiche bites... and it’s ALL amazing! How does one choose? The owner is really good about making items that are free of allergens, and I’m pretty sure everything is gluten free; there’s vegan and dairy free stuff too. I normally don’t like pumpkin spice lattes (too sweet IMO) but this one hit the spot - it actually tasted rich, spiced, and earthy like pumpkin SHOULD taste, with enough sweetness to balance it out but not overpower it. Love the Maha Coffee crew!

Pumpkin spice who? Cardamom is where its at! I just had *the* best iced cold brew from Maha Coffee. They make all their syrups and baked goods in-house. Which I was really happy to hear because I trust that the owners are committed to quality.After attending yoga classes next door for a few years, Ive seen first hand how the yoga studio is cared for and cleaned. So glad to support this local family owned business, and I cannot wait to go back to try the Lavender Latte.

I came to Maha for the first time today and was greeted by two extremely kind baristas. They were very accommodating when I asked for a less-sweet drink, and they made me the best iced cardamom oat latte I’ve ever had before!! Will definitely be back soon.

Interesting flavored options but most of them were out on my first visit. Also bummed they dont have decaf...I love coffee but as a breast feeding mom decaf is my only option. Service was okay, kind of cold. You order inside but they ask you to wait outside while theyre making it. I understand COVID precautions but standing in the parking lot 10 mins for a latte isnt a great experience.

If I could leave a zero star review, I would. Just left this coffee shop placed an order for 5 drinks and only received 4 drinks. I informed the owner as she was the person who took my order, she immediately pulled up my transaction and informed me I was only charged for 4 drinks. It was no problem at all to pay for the 5th drink! She charged me for the 5th drink and the Barista prepared it immediately. On the initial transaction I left a $2.00 tip, needless to say that its not much but it was something. On the 2nd transaction for the coffee (that I didnt pay for initially), I did not feel the need to leave another tip. After all this was a mistake made by the owner who initially took my order. She tells me in front of many other customers Thank you for not leaving a tip. I could not believe she had the nerve and audacity to tell a paying customer this. To be sure I heard her correctly I stated Excuse me. She says to me You know we are in a pandemic dont you? I told her I left a tip on the 1st transaction. She continued to embarrass me in front of other customers by saying I didnt leave a tip.As a business owner/professional this is no way to treat a customer. I ended up paying over $35.00 for 5 drinks of coffee and to be treated this way is horrible. So much for supporting our local businesses. I will never ever return to this coffee shop. No one deserves to be treated this way and to be treated this way in public for others to see was even more upsetting. She asked me if I knew we were in a pandemic and yes of course I am aware how could I not be! We all are experiencing the effects of this pandemic. In this community we should be supporting one another and encouraging, uplifting one another not bringing others down and making them feel worthless. That is exactly how I felt after leaving this coffee shop. I have never been treated this way. I was absolutely humiliated and almost into tears. I felt the need to defend myself against this business owner. I pleaded with her to understand that a tip was given on the initial transaction. Needless to say she had no regard and continued to embarrass me.My concern is for the next person who is unable to leave any tip or a minimal tip, will they be treated this way as well? Yes I only left a $2.00 tip initially but that does not give anyone an excuse to treat a person like this. I think I speak for many of us when I say we are all barely making it. We are all going through our own battles each day and it does not help when people treat you disrespectfully and ugly. The sad and unfortunate thing is that there is no one to express your concern to as the person who behaved this way is the owner. Felt the urge and need to share this horrible experience with everyone.
