Nice place. Clean and well maintained. Friendly and professional staff. The iced coffee is good. Their bagels come with a lavish amount of cream cheese. The falafel sandwich is good. Nicely located away from busy parts of the region. Nice place to relax after a busy day or week.

Don’t put the rude woman at the cashier on your flyers… 9 am you just want some coffee and a quick bite but you walk in to miss sour face. Service sucked, small portions AND you have to bus your own stuff

Great place with excellent service. They did a fantastic job of handling the pandemic rationally and carefully in a way designed to protect the health of both staff and customers. Very impressive. Coffee is always excellent, nice selection of beer and wine, and some very good food. Very happy that we have this in our area.

Coffee Shark is not just the only cafe in and around this neighborhood, but is likely the only really good cafe around here on 2222. Went here on recommendation from a friend. I had a double shot espresso frappe and apricot / white chocolate scone. Reasonably priced and perfectly made. Professional, courteous, cheerful and timely service. By adhering to covid safety guidelines, this business certainly prioritized customers health safety. Clean and nice place. Will definitely go here again. They have a pretty good menu and a really cool large outdoor patio with view of hills. It was pouring this afternoon; otherwise, I would have definitely spent a little more time in this place. Decent, well maintained, socially conscious local businesses like these deserve our support more than ever.

They have every type of coffee here, and the prices are super reasonable! friendly staff and a scenic location nestled in the west austin hills. They also have a bar and plenty of beers on tap that Im sure are fantastic

Just left here got two iced coffees one with two expresso shots and both with oat milk. Left not realizing how dark my coffee was when I got home to take a sip it tasted like no oat milk in it. Good thing I had some in the fridge. Will not go back especially for how much you are paying but it doesn’t get made right. Starbucks it is!

Nice and cozy little place but it was a little bland for me. The food was okay but not over the top. Nice seating and very clean. Food selection is ok, and the coffee was decent. I saw a lot of students working from here. Nice place to grab a coffee and a quick bite but I might not come can here. Good for a first try.

Beer, wine, great pastries (and they don’t constantly run out like some others in the 10 mile area - looking at you Summer Moon. And the coffee? Well what I get is amazing. Most people’s decaf is awful, not here. 4 shot small decaf cappuccino is Devine!Try the lemonade too.

Fear based covid service. Staff are behind a barricade of tables and mumble 10 feet away at you and point at the self serve menu. YOU WILL STAND BEHIND the redline B4 taking food and YOU WILL wait until the server places food and THEN and ONLY then may you CROSS the LINE....hahahaha...this isnt Russia is it Danny? -caddyshack...Lukewarm coffee, and stale bagels with runny hummus. ymmv.No inside seating.... Only stopped by Coffee Shark for an espresso while my friend was getting a latte for his wife. I wish there are more cafes like Coffee Shark in Houston. Their espresso was creamy with rich flavor (unlike the one from Starbucks that has only bitter taste, which sort of like drinking Chinese medicine). Their interior design is great for people to either get work done, catch up with friends, or have a brief meeting for business. I would say the location is not prime but I would definitely drive here for coffee if I am coming to Austin again.

I dont live or get to this area of town often but I was in the neighborhood and Google let me know this place could get me my afternoon pick me I needed on a Wednesday at 2:30.The place from the outside looked entertaining with shoots and ladders or whatever that game is called and oversized Jenna games on the tables.I entered the building it was quite bizzy. There was a little line but it moved fast enough.Never being there before I asked the girl at the register about their drip coffee and I ordered the bullshark (butter and coffee).Didnt take too long to get my drink there was space enough to sit at the bar.I look forward to returning here when Im in the area.Thanks for the buzz

THE BEST coffee! I stop in a few times a week and their baristas are friendly and the coffee is absolutely amazing! The cafe has a quiet, modern vibe and some day Ill have to stop in after work for their beer selection.Update: 1 year later. Still THE BEST coffee in Austin! Ryan is friendly, remembers my name, probably because Im here so much but thats because he consistently makes the best cup of coffee Ive ever had!

I go here once a day because of their consistently great coffee and friendly service. They train their baristas really well- the espresso is not bitter and the milk is steamed smoothly. Its a beautiful location in the hills and I APPRECIATE their COVID practices and consideration, even providing napkins to open the door. Another reviewer mentioned fear-based...smh, this place has been open throughout the pandemic and made me feel safe.

This place has the vibe so on point that it was almost a shame to taste their coffee has just not done the job for me the few times I have visited. It’s very bitter.

Great location for the area, nice and relaxing lunch spot. The reuben sandwich and club are both delicious, filtered cold water provided and self serve, and the latte was mediocre. Alot of places over heat/burn their espresso, this one doesnt do that, but I find their coffee to be kind of bland and not worth the price, Ive stopped ordering coffee here. Clean and spacious inside, with free wifi. Recommended for the area.

The coffee was great! There aren’t any seating indoors due to covid, but there’s a little patio area just outside if you decide to hang around a bit to have your coffee.

Of The mocha was okay, but nothing to write home about. The service was super slow, but I did realize they were being very cautious with making sure the measure of product used was precise.

Impromptu stop! Came here because it was super cold outside and needed some place to get something warm to drink. The place is nice and big with plenty of seating! They had trivia night which was Saturday night. I had the Mexican Hot chocolate which was delicious, my daughter had the chocolate shake and my husband the coffee. The quality of the coffee was very good and rich. We bought one to try at home and we loved it!

We enjoy the staff each time I go. Their options are standard coffee shop options. Their beer/wine options are varied and it transitions well from coffee shop to bar.

The coffee is great and bold. The staff were nice and the ambiance was great for relaxing and enjoying coffee. Great place to relax and get work done. My suggesting is to bring a portable power bank or a long lasting laptop if you do work here. Not a lot of outlets. Still peaceful.

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised. Great coffee, loved their seasonal Apple Cider and its very clean and spacious. If you get stuck in the traffic, this is where you should make a stop. Even without the traffic, this is a great place to go. They also had a variety of tap beer selection. Need to go back to try those!!

First time visitor; was BLOWN AWAY. The store has lots of indoor seating, natural lighting, decent amount of beers on tap, tasty wine, and a good food selection. There is also a nice patio with shade, and games! My wife and I only had coffee, and a Vanilla frapp so I can not speak to the food. However, if the beverages are any indication, then you cant go wrong with anything you order. As someone who has worked for coffee shops in Austin, and consider myself to be a bit of a coffee enthusiast, I highly recommend anyone in the area to go and check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Good coffee in the hill country. They have seating inside and out. Nice selection of locally roasted coffees for sale. Also find craft local beers on tap. Setting is ground floor of office building. Good light, pleasant staff.

I frequent the Coffee Shark regularly and it is one of the best places to grab a coffee off 2222 traveling from 620 and 183 (or alternatively) on the way to Lake travis from Loop 1 Mopac just past 360!

The raspberry kombucha was delicious and refreshing.

This coffee shop is a true gem!I love that it serves everything: coffee, wine, and beer! Foods covered too, from pastries and tacos to sandwiches and a lot more. I come here to work as it has a nice relaxing atmosphere and lots of natural light (though the wifi is not always reliable, something I hope theyll take care of soon). The broad menu means that I can go (and stay until) any time of the day, from breakfast to happy hour - which I often do when I need to work long hours. This place is awesome, theyll sure continue to have my business.

Nice, airy new place for coffee, baked goods, sandwiches, and beer/wine. Nice patio area with lots of tables and (mostly) shade, at least in early afternoon. My Turkey Club sandwich was simple but very good, served warm with melty cheese. Plenty of parking when I was there. Counter service. A few games and books on a shelf.Service can get really slow when theres only one person behind the bar. Theres a sign that directs beer customers around the corner, but I dont recommend that as the employees dont pay attention to people at the bar.*edit* Im docking the review by a star because though this is indeed a nice, pleasant place, they really havent done anything to work out the service conflict between the front coffee/food line and the beer bar. The coffee line always seems to have higher priority, and employees seem to be completely oblivious to customers at the bar. There are places that can do this well, so I dont think its impossible.

We love coming here on Saturdays for Geeks Who Drink trivia. I love that you can get coffee, tea, beer, milkshakes, and smoothies all in one place. They have great chocolate cake and the staff is always friendly.

This is my go to place for coffee and breakfast tacos. The staff is always friendly and they make great cappuccinos. I dont come here in the evening very often, but they have a great selection of beers.

I just had the best latte. The staff is unbelievably friendly. The music isnt too loud. The treats they sell are yummy. Coffee is great. Loved it.

Was in here today and right off the bat the pregnant barista gave terrible customer service. No acknowledgement, no eye contact, no response after I gave my order or when I said thank you after she delivered my pastry to my table. My muffin had a hair stuck to the bottom of it and I didnt realize it until I had ate almost the whole thing (Im bald so it wasnt mine!) . My hot coffee was cold and had a very bitter taste to it. Worst tasting coffee IV ever had.

Don’t live on this side of town anymore, but when I did I loved coming here. It’s an awesome spacious spot.

I wasnt impressed today. First of all, the Steampunk Coffee was out due to something being broken. Meh...continue on and order something else. Ordered the Turmeric Latte instead, as well as a beer and a salad with added turkey.Beer - Great, as expectedTurmeric Latte - Flavor was fine but it wasnt hot. I had been sitting outside with a friend and was given a number for my table expecting my entire order to come out together. I was not told my drink would be right out or anything. Turns out, my latte was sitting on the counter for however long. I went to get it once I realized the lack of customer service and realized it wasnt even warm to the touch. Tasted good at least.Salad - for $5+ - I ordered a quarter bag of lettuce with 3 cherry tomatoes and some slivers of onion and sandwich meat - Fine, but MEH. I wouldve rather just not had the salad at that point. It gets better. A hair was in my food as seen in the picture. On top of the already poor impression from my lukewarm latte, this didnt fare too well.My friend - she ordered a coffee - she picked it up immediately after ordering and her drink wasnt hot either! She asked the girl to at least warm it up. The girl made a new pot which was great. But to come to a coffee shop and have 2 drinks poorly tended to...not ideal.Overall, if coffee is your business, do better at least on the coffee. Staff was overall pleasant. The layout of the shop is great as well as the environment. I could see it as a nice place for those who are very close by, but I would never go out of my way to come here again.

Too expensive for the quality. Ive given this place a fair shot having visited on four different occasions. I just cant justify a 16-oz iced coffee for $6 that taste no better (or worse) than one half the price from everywhere. Same with the soup, 4-oz for $6 - it was barely lukewarm and tasted no better than a 99 cent can of soup. The beer selection is decent. While its in a convenient spot close to home and my sons school an I wont be going back.

Great space and atmosphere - accommodates social groups, workers, and families at the same time. Great selection of coffee, café food (sandwiches, pizza, charcuterie, baked goods), beer, and wine. Friendly staff, a little laid back but knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are down the middle, with generous pours and happy hour deals. Plus its a local business and the only one of its kind for miles! Whats not to love??

Definitely not a place to get a quick bite. Decided to finally check it out and saw they had slices of pizza on the menu, seemed a little steep for a single slice but I figured at least itd be quick.My $4 single slice of pizza wasnt exactly big either.

The coffee is good but the sizes are small and the prices are ridiculously high. Plus the employees always have an attitude.

Finally this area has a good coffee shop! And they have over 20 local beers on tap as well. Staff is very friendly, the place is comfortable with nice tables, outside seating, and couches to lounge in. And free wifi, of course.

Service was kind and informative. I had a lavender latte, it was delish. My croissant was served frozen in the center, but after I had it microwaved it was ok. Its a nice place but freezing cold inside. I would go back again.

Awkwardly quiet in here. Black iced cold brew is my go to and this one looked lighter than tea. Watered down flavorless WEAK coffee. Will not return as a big time coffee drinker.

Prices are on the slightly higher side but the espresso-based drinks are good. They offer a couple of options that you wont find at a lot of other coffee shops, including a Steampunk-brewed coffee, and also provide some offerings from Russells bakery in their shop.Coffee Shark also caters to the late crowd with pizza and pints, but I havent checked out that part of the business yet.Since they just opened, theyre going through some minor growing pains, including since inconsistencies in service on the few different visits Ive paid them. However, I havent had a bad experience here yet.Coffee Shark is a solid option in an area of Austin that doesnt have a bunch of them. Check it out.
