Unexpectedly I landed in Austin for 2 and a half weeks. Ever since the first day I came in Toni and Crystal greeted my sister (who I am visiting) and I with open arms. Being welcomed to this city really started with the Capital One Cafe. With the support of Quade and Charles I honestly havent left ever since. Thank you so much to such a great team!

What in the name of heck is the point of this place? I walked in trying to get help with my account, and they said they cant do banking, this is just a cafe. Why does Capital One list this as a branch? Why do they even run coffee shops? Like, Im not crazy here. I didnt walk up to the Peets Coffee counter and order a mocha and a checking account. Theres a row of people with computers just to tell you that if you need help with your Capital One account you need to go downtown or to Cedar Park.Im *baffled.* Honestly, I hope this trend doesnt continue, because Im going to be furious if I book an appointment with a dermatologist one day only to arrive and find out that location doesnt do skin care, just freshly baked waffles and artisanal stationary.

I came looking for a traditional bank. Oh boy and I was in for a surprise..its really cool cafe style DIY Banking. You walk in, and it gives you a warm welcoming feeling of a cafe. There are several bank employees hanging out at different spots to help out lost and confused customers like me. Great experience, great service. I love it how retail store banking is being disrupted by Capital one.

Stopped by this Capital One Cafe, located over in the Domain. Deposited a check, then grabbed a cup of Peets grounded coffee (light roast), and a Rip Van Wafels chocolate brownie. A wonderful way to continue adding good energy, and vibes to my day. Will definitely stop by here more often, for coffee, snacks, to chill and do some literal work, and analysis. Very relaxing, clean, and attracts good looking folks. Not bad in my book.

This is not a full service branch - it is two ATMs and a coffee shop with some pointless square footage in between. If you’re looking for a person to help you with something more complex than what you can do on mobile banking from your phone, go somewhere else. The ATMs are frequently down and most recently took my check without depositing it, and the staff was zero help in providing a fix.

After recently being a lot more involved in online and remote working I have been looking for great places to work. I feel that working in a nice environment makes such a big difference on motivation. This place so far has served me extremely well! Not much nicer you can ask for than the domain so the area is certainly a plus. The interior of the cafe is very modern and I have never had problem finding seating as opposed to some of the local Starbucks. One thing I also really like is the building has windows all over so you are able to get natural lighting which is a huge plus. Charging areas all around and even some private rooms to study in. There is always cold water at the front for you to grab for yourself and they also have half price drinks during happy hour. One advantage that I unfortunately can’t take advantage of yet is the FREE drinks at happy hour that are for members of Capital One. There is also clean bathrooms and TV screens with occasional games available to play. The interactions with workers have been pretty good so far. On my second time here I was sitting in a room reserved for non profits and I was asked very kindly to leave. As I am not a non profit I had no problem and I left. In response to me leaving the worker gave me a card for a free drink just because I was nice about it. That’s one thing that really put this place over the top, unfortunately though I lost the card 😅I personally don’t drink coffee so I can’t give any input on that, but if you need a place to study or work on your computer then this is the place for you!

Don’t get me wrong I love this place but the fact that they don’t open the cafe until 9am really defeats the purpose since most people get coffee before then and it’d be hella convenient to actually be able to get coffee when I come by for my banking in the morning before work.

Whoever came up with the Cafe Banking idea in boardroom meetings should be fired. This is terrible. Really bad. If you are looking to do (domestic/ international) transactions, wire money, transfer funds, make cashier check, etc, Capital One Cafe can not help you. Its a waste to even visit this bank. I have nothing against the employees (who are well-mannered) but they dont have the authority and means to do banking. They have to call the HQ to get the info on banking while you have to wait. And even then you are directed to a website or some branch. One time, they told me to go to Cedar Park branch to get transactions done and when I went, that too is bunch of people sitting behind laptops and cant do anything. Capital One has NO real branch in AUSTIN. When the COVID situation subsides, I am switching to a real bank with actual branch and services. Capital One customer for 15 years but no more.

Capital One Cafe is a benefit for the bank “account holders and for future account holders” to have Coffee while working. The place clearly is not a bank branch. It’s magical and for positive people who are looking to be happy. This is an amazing way to make customers happy by having an spectacular place to work and relax on their days off, or for the ones who work from home, to get out of their home. For students and anyone else, with coffee? A free place to work from your bank, for me is wonderful. I have my bank account and credit cards with Capital one and I love all about Capital One. Please call me to work there that’s all I need to be even happier. 😄

I’m very disappointed to Capital One, the staff at this location is there but it feels like they’re actually not there, they don’t approach you, when you ask for something, they barely care, only a tall young man did look happy and caring. The rest very distracted talking and didn’t even offered me and my boyfriend to open an account. I noticed most of the tables don’t have outlets to work. Only shared stations and by the window, including the work rooms with glass doors, have not outlets and feel a little warm. I like better other locations. Sorry for the feedback.

Tory and Crystal were amongst the most welcoming and sweetest representatives Ive ever met. I wanted to hang out with them. Lol. Anyway, back to the reason we were there...To pay on my husbands capital one card. I am also a capital one card holder but I had already paid my bill on the app. The payment process went smoothly for him and Tory gave us a couple of free drink cards since it was our first time utilizing the Capital One Cafe. I had a Mocha Latte at their cafe and it tasted very good! The lady who made my coffee was also attentive from the moment she saw me until I made a decision on which drink I wanted. Crystal also took the time to let us know about the designated areas for students for studying and Tory let us know about the days they have board games among other things. When back in the Domain area I will definitely stop in and utilize this Cafe bank more even if its just to stop in and say hello to Tory and Crystal! Thank you Ladies!

Who would have thought, a coffee shop and a bank? Whats next, a bread store in a tire store? Seriously good coffee. I got a latte and was very very pleased. A strong flavor with depth. The foam was significant and hot. Something most people dont understand. If you want to hang out and study, you can do that. If you want to talk with friends, you can do that as well. And,, if you are Chase patron, the coffee is very cheap. I would come here if all they did was serve coffee. Being in the Domaine, it is a treasure.

I do not like Capital One Bank system in which they did away with tellers. It is extremely inconvenient because you can only withdraw a small amount through ATM machines. To withdraw a large amount, you have to get approval through another rep by phone. The Rep on the phone doesn’t even know all of Capital One policy in which you can withdraw a larger sum. The rep said I can have the large sum available for three days, but I went back to ATM machines, and I couldn’t withdraw this money. Of course, there wasn’t an ambassador available at the Georgetown branch. Ambassador at the domain branch is very nice but it is such a lengthy process to get money with drawn, over 50 minutes for me to get my own money. I do not have the time me to go through this process again and again.I would have given it a 1 Star, but staffs are nice so I give them 2 stars instead.

Review №44

This is a great place if you’re needing a coffee fix. But if you’re looking for a bank, well, that’s basically been reduced to 2 ATM machines off in the corner. The bank employees are there to sell you “services” (can you even call them services when there’s no actual customer service involved?) and to point you to the ATM machines and bathrooms. They cannot handle money, deposit checks or anything you might actually expect from a bank. And the parking stinks. Either compete for the scarce street parking half a block down, or park in a parking garage and walk a few blocks. The competing bank a couple of blocks away has a parking lot for their customers. They claim all banks are going this way, but from what I can tell, they’re leading the charge against their customers. I’ve found a real bank to do business with, not a coffee shop ATM machine.

This please should be out of business!! I really do know why it is still operatingexcept to provide free coffee ONLY in 1 or 2 days , free WiFI, and allowed students and people to hang around their “cafe”. I mispoke and called it a “branch ” but an “ambassador” corrected me, saying it is a cafe . It cannot print , a cafe WITHOUT the ability to issue cashier check. If I want a cashier check , I would have to do it at another location or pay a ridiculous fee of $20. Why do I have to pay $20.00 if this is one of the benefit of my Tower Gold account . So here I am traveling another 35 minutes one way, 45 minutes back because of traffic just to get one cashiers check because this fancy café with their fancy ambassador name does not have the capability to print . They want to re-image themselves as a upscale bank but they don’t even have the capability to print a cashiers check? OMG !!! I am seriously considering checking out Bank of America. If anyone else has a recommendation for a good banking business, with tellers, and with the ability to have cashiers check for free, please let me know on this google comment. I have been with Capital One for over 15 years and it is getting worse.

Just got off the phone with rachel-incredibly rude. Every time I go to a branch to create a cashiers check or make a deposit, the employees say they dont do those things. Its atms with a coffee shop and they call it a branch. I was told by a lawyer to send in a document so i called the 800 # for capital one and was told to contact a rep locally. I called this location and i asked rachel how can i send in this document and she said to contact the 800 #. I explained i already did and they told me to contact someone locally. She then said dont bother to send it because ‘in 5 years working here i’ve never heard of anyone sending that document to their bank.’ Oh alright-sure thing. Seriously? Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience of being told conflicting information from capital one she sent the message she had no interest in assisting me at all. I’d love to go to work and tell customers, ‘you dont need that.’ So i dont have to do my job. I’d be fired quickly. In customer service you are to send the message to the customer, ‘heres what i can do to help’

Is this a coffee shop with wifi or a bank minus tellers and bankers? A coffee shop, for sure. And most banks are moving in this direction. They replaced my drive-thru bank of tellers and bankers with this internet café, where an ambassador with no name tag stood behind a block of wood and directed me to the website to get a check register--I couldnt use the app on my phone! Then, the wifi was so crappy, I couldnt access the internet to get online to order my check registers. You get 50% off coffee at the Peet coffee shop, though, if you bank with Capital One. I wish Peet could provide check registers. They have two ATMs side by side in a separate room which can be accessed 24/7.Sadly, this is the future of banking, where consumers are screwed. Coffee lovers might be happy.
