I guess you need to be an electrical engineer to get any help. Im a new ham so I dont know all the proper terms. Both times I brought examples of what I needed and both times they just shrugged their shoulders and suggested I try someplace else. Then I got online and saw the exact item in the catalog and saw that it was in stock at the Atlanta store.They do have great prices and selection but I wont be back in the store again, Ill just order online or order somewhere else.

Good inventory, but customer service could use some work. Walked around for 10 minutes, only one customer in the store and two employees. No one ever asked me if I needed assistance and when I went to go ask for assistance another employee that I was walking to walked off after they made eye contact. Was about to purchase a large antenna for the backyard and a quite expensive radio transceiver set. I decided to purchase from another location due to this experience. I know the ham radio hobby is an older person dominated arena, but to be outright ignored because I was slightly younger than the average ham radio customer is all too often disappointing experience in this hobby. Oh well, plenty of ham radio distributors online.

This is the Ham Superstore. The only real place in Atlanta for Amateur Radio Operators to procure items necessary for the craft locally. I will be back there today for COAX connectors...

I have one question can I use 75 ohm cable on my cb radio. My house uses 75 ohm cable. Will it work.

Always a pleasure working with this team, I called recently because I wanted an Alinco switching power supply. They didnt have any in stock, but there was another store that did. They had it shipped from a store with inventory to my QTH in just a few days. Wonderful! The employees are very knowledgeable and their inventory is substantial. In the last month Ive spent $1300 at this location. Today was $620 of that amount. Bathroom door mentioned Closed due to covidMentioned that I had drove over from Augusta 2.5 hrs away. Was heading back and had a coffee kicking my bladders butt.Its closed, use a gas stationWont be shopping there again.

This is a top notch operation. Called at 4:30pm to order and the UPS scan showed they shipped out my item within 30 minutes so it got here the next day. Packed well. I love the corn starch degradable packing peanuts. They usually match prices and know about what theyre selling and very helpful.

Franchise does a nice job of balancing a brick and mortar operation with an online presence. Ive found that HRO offers prices that are either competitive or superior to online-only outfits. The local store staff can be seen at the HRO booths at many local ham festivals. The staff know radio and are always helpful.

I have been doing business with them since 1989 and have been pleased every time! Mark and crew do an awesome job. I make the 3.5 hour drive 3-4 times a year to stop in. Well worth the drive!

They are very knowledgeable, experienced and attentive. I would recommend anyone who has an interest in getting a ham radio license, or a GROL licence, or any periodicals and study manuals about the industry. Antennas, radios, coaxial wires, you name it they have it.

I have shopped at HRO for a couple of years now. If I need something in a hurry, I can usually get it here quickly. The staff is friendly. A bit disorganized, but I can usually find what I need without too much effort.

Ok if you absolutely need something today and dont care how much you pay for it. One of the employees was being rude and disrespectful to an older employee while I was there. I prefer to buy online from other companies for better selection, lower prices, and to minimize exposure to unprofessional staff.
