Polite, good communication, and timely. The only thing was after bringing and setting up the mattress and box-spring, we noticed a tear on the corner of the box-spring. Im sure if we called them they would have hopefully replaced it, but we didnt want the hassle of taking it back to the store. They just need to be a little bit more careful when inspecting their merchandise.

This is a great store. They are so helpful and knowledgeable about the furniture. The delivery after purchase was timely. No waiting for weeks or months! I came in to buy 2 area rugs and a double door refrigerator the sales girl watched me but did not make a effort to say hello. Good day. Etc. Just left me to look. Then she started to talk to a old man who was just waiting on his relatives and completely walked away. I called ahead for information and hours of operation and was advised there was a great sale on at the Athens location. I was short on time and when I arrived Tina and the whole staff were great and already made a note of my call and what I was looking for. Tina knew exactly what to recommend for my needs and fixed me right up. They delivered on time and the furniture arrived in perfect condition. I have a handicap relative that needed special furniture quickly and they took care of me ASAP. They have won my business the next time I need something.

12-30-20 update, after looking at recliners at five different competitors we went back to Ivans and purchased the one we looked at yesterday (read the following).Decent selection of inventory, 10 percent off sale until Thursday. I asked a few questions about competitive lines, the sales person was unable to answer the question. I have looked around at a Lazy Boy store, the sales person was very knowledgeable, and the furniture appeared to be well built. That being said we are judging everything else on that standard. we will buy in the next two days, based on quality and best price. In all fairness my wife did see an electric recliner with lumbar support, head adjustments, a USB port, and its in the color and material she really liked at this store.

Great large clean store. Follows protocol for covid-19 safety. Get in, get out fast with their fast prompt service. Or you can leisurely enjoy the store at your own pace and ask all the questions you would like. I have done both LOL and everyone took it just fine and went out of their way to find just the right fabric for me to look at. The employees are absolutely top shelf. I really cannot afford to shop there but they treat me as if Im a millionaire. Everyone should stop in at least once.

I called for a friend and ordered a chair from Illinois, she lives in Athens. They ordered the chair, and less than a week my friend was sitting in it. Matt was excellent to work with, I will order again. My friend loves her chair!

Love the furniture purchased here for me, however the recliners do no sit properly. It has been over a month since repairs came out to see the problem and order the parts. Still waiting and in the interim, the second recliner now exhibits the same defect.

After 2 visits and hours on the internet over the weekend, I loosened my “have to haves” And I made my choice! My only problem (and not a deal breaker) is that I think you should offer in store fabric samples on every upholstered piece of furniture you offer on line. May sound like a pain, but a make or break customer service option.

Was in search of a certain bed for our daughter. Soon as we walked through the door we were greeted with a smile and Ms. Kathi Bachor was on top of everything. We showed her the bed we were looking for and she instantly knew what we were looking for. She was able to pull up the bed in their system and it was available for us to pick up front he warehouse. Ms. Kathi and the other young lady that was working with her called ahead to make sure the warehouse knew we were on our way for pickup since it was so close to closing of business hours. Ive always been pleased with service from your company. The couch I purchased by phone/internet described the couch as the color earth, which was a tan color. The couch that was delivered was a milk chocolate color, but I love it. Dont know if the wrong one was delivered, but I am very pleased with the one they brought.

We needed a queen size mattress, and we needed it immediately because we had an unexpected guest. Ivan Smith had a very comfortable mattress set that was available for pick-up. Its a great mattress, and the customer service was phenomenal!

Over the past couple of months weve spoken, and its usually been very cordial. Ive attempted to offer any assistance I could. Unfortunately, as we explained when you purchased your sofas and our warranty, the plan only covers accidental damage and the manufacturer covered their product for defects for 1 year. Taking into consideration you did not let us know you were having any issues until after four years, even saying this started two years ago, the manufacturer and the warranty company attributes that to wear and tear. All of our furniture manufacturers offer their own warranty, to ensure your product is free of defects, and sometimes we can get help briefly beyond that, but to expect them to take back their product after four years is unrealistic.As we are in a customer based business, we want to hear from our customers when they may have any issues, but if we dont know, we cant help. We did make an offer to accommodate your dissatisfaction that would greatly offset your original purchase price, but unfortunately you did not find that a satisfactory solution. At this time, regrettably we are out of options. We value you, as well as all of Ivan Smith Furnitures customers, and hope that somewhere down the road you reconsider us. My experience was a pleasant one. We went in looking for an ottoman and they happened to have one that was on sale to buy as is. It was in great condition (nothing at all was wrong with it). The color also matches the color scheme of our living room. Our only problem with it once we got it home is keeping our 3 children off of it. My husband has to contend with them for space to prop his feet up. The staff are friendly, eager to help, and patient (my kiddos were with us).

It is important to me to buy locally. Ivan Smith provides a quality product with the ease of hometown friendliness.

We were just killing some time before an appt. and didnt really think we could afford anything in your store. Our credit isnt too great either. We were looking for a couch and had exhausted all the thrift stores in the area and thought maybe yall might have a scratch and dent type dept.I walked in and the first thing I saw was this glorious , cushy red couch, marked to move at $200. I pretended to look at others , but knew this was the one.The sales lady left me alone to wander , which I really appreciated. I hate pushy salespeople. When ready , she and her co worker couldnt have been nicer. Two days later, a friend picked it up for us and I love it ! I tell everyone what a fantastic deal we got and how nice you guys were.

I bought a box spring for my Temperpedic mattress because my old one was broken. The crew did a good job of replacing it but would not take the old one because it was broken. I had to take it apart and burn it. I had thought they would take it.
