Do not go to this place, I tried to pawn something, they asked me to prove that I bought it, I did and then they refuse me...the rudest place i have ever been and no customer service and way over priced. I showed proof and they treated me like i stole my own property 🤔🖕🤬😡

The manager was very rude and short when working with other employees. Insulted my intelligence on uncirculated coins.

The manager is absolutely terrible!! I bought a $100 portable AC and I purchased the Warranty. Get it home and test is out and it blows air just not cold air. When trying to return it the very next day Lisa and another girl were so hateful and didn’t want to give me my money back! I’ve shopped here for years but will never go back for any reason!!! They need to re-staff or just close the doors!!

I went there and brought a cam corder went home and tested it and it didnt work so I return it the very next day to return it for a refund and the first lady didnt want to refund me so she got the manager red head lady she was so hateful I think they need a new staff or better managements or maybe both.

Not sure why the bad reviews, I’ve shopped here plenty of times and even during the recent “shut down” they’ve been open and ready for business. Absolutely the most helpful and friendly staff I’ve been around and will continue to patron their shop. 5 stars all day!!!

Always friendly and helpfull. Very respectful to each individual no one has ever been rude to me. They even give you a courteous call so as not to lose your property. Not many places are that considerate.If you have a problem there then more than likely its you and not their customer service. Laura Tilley treated me nice the very second I walked in the door. It was my first time shopping with U.S. Money Shops. I was like a kid in a candy store with the handguns asking a million questions and prices on everyone of the guns. Laura never seemed to get aggravated with all the questions but instead seemed to be there just for me! Laura helped me find just exactly what I wanted. Sold my tv to them. They were very nice and gave me more than I expected. Will definitely do business with them again when Im in a pinch.

They obviously dont test anything they sell. This became apparent to me after they sold me a simple home sound system that does not work!

Terrible! Worst experience I have ever had purchasing a gun. It was only supposed to be a FFL transfer and I was harassed every step of the way. I give it one star because the assistant manager was the only staff that was kind and courteous enough to help me, if it wasnt for him I probably would still be waiting today!

I bought a small heater there on 5/ 4/ 20 it wasnt much $ 10.00 an guess what it dont work Im gonna try to find recite cause Im want my money back ! Why wouldnt %hey check to see if it worked ?

Came in looking to purchase a pistol stood there for 15 minutes waiting on help somebody calls on the phone and they sell a pistol I stood there waiting on over the phone instead of taking care of the customer that was already there. Will never return will continue to give bad word of mouth

I actually shop here a lot cause I like the layaway. But after today I doubt Ill be back. First thing- I was on Congress parkway headed to pick up my latest layaway item when a white car started riding my but, the speed limit is 45 and I was doing 50 and shevwas pushing me to faster. When I wouldnt speed up she flew around me then got in front me. Well the car in front of her stopped to turn left and that made her even madder. She threw here hand out the window and flipped the car of then flipped me off. (Guess she didnt know we was pulling into the same place) she pulled into the pawn shop parking on the side of the building where employees park. Her vehicle was white and kinda looked like a suv but not as big. The tags were Blount county and she was a heavy set lady with short dark hair. Great way to be treated huh. Lucky for her I wasnt a crazy person with anger problems. Now on to the prices. I used to love to buy from this place when it was just a pawn shop before the 1st move. Now its a store that gives people 5 dollars for there stiff and sales it for 100. The jewelry prices are absolutely ridiculous. I shop at the pawn shop in knox and pay half. Or online is still a ton cheaper and its brand new. I feel like this place takes advantage of the fact that we r a small town without the option to go shop multiple pawn shops. Greed should be the new name of the place. They care nothing about the customers anymore. Due to the experience i had today with the employee I will be going out of Athens to make my pawn shop purchases in the future. Or I will shop online.

I honestly would give no stars if i could. This place was great before new ownership. I came in all the time buying things but now after new ownership they treat u bad and are way more expensive. They dont have as many guns and dont sell bullets now. Their pawn and laway agreements are horrible.

Shouldnt even be in business, purchased 2 items and neither of them worked, They NEVER answer the phone either, Beware! They buy things from crackheads and dont even test them they just assume they work and put them on the shelf!

Staff seem overwhelmed. Product is so so- like most pawn shops it works if youre in a pinch. Ive mainly used them as a transfer hub as they are one of the few FLL dealers in the Athens area. They have a fair transfer fee but they take several days to get everything ready for pickup. My firearm was delivered on a Friday and wasnt ready for me to pickup until Monday (they are closed on Sundays). Staff has always been pretty friendly when I go in there. My advice to management would be to hire more staff. Customers dont like to wait when theyve already been waiting. Ill probably look for another FLL dealer in the future.

Under new ownership maybe the last owners took the animals with them. They sold off all the accessories and all the old g funs so all they have left are new g funs. They no longer allow locals to pawn theirs. They buy new. I am a cc g fun owner because a man threatened to kill me and my kids. I need to carry and there are people out there who want to ensure that only the guy threatening me gets access. With 3D printing no one is going to be able to stop it or regulate them. You might as well make it easier for people like me to protect me and my own. Oh and if youre wondering why Im obfuscating the actual word pertaining to the subject matter here, its because of some of my reviews not being considered allowed for others to see.

This place is a joke. Ridiculous prices. Bottom dollar when trying to sell or pawn something. They wanted $60 boot to trade a Verizon iPhone 4s for a Us cellular iPhone 4s. Thats crazy. Ive dealt with them in the past and still came to the same conclusion: You get the same as dealing with criminals.

I have been their 6 times and from the very beginning they have never impressed me,I have been low balled 4 of the 6 times and the other two I have been told that they cant take my item or they dont take them anymore (after I call to ask and I get told they do).So in my opinion they are not as great as people say they are!
