I would not do business with world wide stereoThey keep charging my credit card for services that were not performed. After conversation with management, apologizing, the next day I see a additional charge of over $500I have a business myself for a long time, and am quite surprised about this companyAlso, after I installed several TV’s in a new home by worldwide , I have compared pricing and see that they are considerably higher than the competition

These guys are professional, patient, client focused and persistent. Tommy Gillanders is excellent. I have an old farmhouse with thick stone walls, making his job even more difficult. He and his team kept after the project until it was complete. They are worth the premium!

What a great company! Pricing was very good. I ordered the wrong equipment so had to call into customer service. I was put in contact with a woman named Jamie. She is just amazing! Very pleasant on the phone and very attentive to my needs. She helped me with my issue got me on the right path and was just an absolute treat to deal with. Then I got transferred over to a gentleman named Austin in the ordering Department. He was very helpful and very knowledgeable. And got me straightened out. I cannot stress enough how wonderful the customer support and everybody I spoke with was. They will have my business from here on out. Ive been a customer for a lot of years and always enjoy going in to look at the new gear. They have a very knowledgeable staff and are easy to work with. This trip I was looking for some new speakers and listened to a lot of music from the 1812 to AC/DC across a number of speakers. Finally found the right sound and very happy with the purchase!

An exhausting hunt for a 5-disc CD changer finally lead us to World Wide Stereo as they had an awesome Yamaha unit in stock (needle in the haystack)! Called and got Tommy in the Ardmore store, super-friendly, very informative and when I asked about taking the train to pick-up the unit, he informed me they have free delivery in the area - Incredible! Made the purchase over the phone on Saturday, got an email confirmation and the unit arrived via hand-delivery on Monday! A great experience all-around, thx Tommy!

I was referred to Tommy by my brother who has been dealing with him for some time now. I was in the market for a sound bar/subwoofer setup, but knew very little about the current offerings, or how much I should even reasonably budget for one. I knew I didn’t want to spend a ton, and I had a couple of basic features I wanted, but after a short time on the phone with Tommy, he made a recommendation that seemed perfect for me, the Klipsch Cinema 600.He was patient and answered all of my questions about it, and helped rule out other alternatives for various reasons. Got this great new JBL 9.1 soundbar and went down a rabbit hole into advanced settings to maximize this beast. Had some technical questions and Tommy walked me through the labyrinth of sound settings, making sure that all of my devices were properly connected. This guy knew everything I asked about! I could have bought this sound bar at BB the same day, but the reviews on customer service were so good on WW Stereo that I thought that a few days wait would be worth it. It was. World Wide Stereo completed an installation of a new TV/Sonos system in our basement....now a She Shed, and reconfiguredan existing TV/Stereo cabinet in our Family room to accomodate a new slightly larger TV and Sonos system. Patrick Obrien was our helpful contact person in the Store. Kerry, their designer, was very involved in the process as well.The results are fantastic. I went with Worldwide Stereo to buy a LG OLED WX 65 and a BDI entertainment center. I went with them because Rob Marcoccia in Ardmore took the time to understand my audio video needs and recommended a solution that works. Also, I wanted an experienced installation team who knew how to install complex systems and a team that can help with programming of the purchased devices. I can say the installation team did a meticulous job in how they installed the TV and the entertainment center and took the time to clean up after the installation. Also, a few days after the installation LG dropped the price of the TV and WW Stereo immediately matched the price.Overall, I am very happy with the buying experience, installation and the outcome. I highly recommend Worldwide Stereo.

I stopped in with my daughter last Saturday at around 11AM. I have not been to a good audio store in a long time and was hoping to hear some good stereo speakers/amps and maybe look at turntables. I was a little worried that everything would be directed towards home theater and surround sound. To my pleasant surprise there were many stereo systems to hear. The store got a bit crowded so we were passed between a couple sales guys but that was fine. We were in no rush and I wanted to take the time to listen to different music on several different speakers. It was great fun and we had plenty of time to check out the gear. I think we were there for more than 3 hrs. There were no pushy sales people and they were happy to show us gear in our price range. All in all a great store. I ended up moving in a different direction and purchasing some bookshelf speakers and subwoofer. I plan to go back again to look at turntables. I am glad this store exists!

Everyone at the Ardmore store was very friendly and attentive. Despite all the high end selections , the staff didn’t present themselves as audio snobs as if you weren’t in there to buy a McIntosh system, then they would direct you to the nearest Best Buy. I felt at ease the whole time. Admittedly the theater seating helped. The audio equipment is a dreamland for any audiophile and it looks like the video is as well. I didn’t get a chance to experience the home theater room but i was okay with that. I highly recommend going in and talking to the knowledgeable, friendly staff. I’ll be back for sure.

I was having issues connecting my aging surround sound to a new tv and Ron walked me through it over the phone. When it still wasnt working he called out to a tech to figure out what to do and then Ron called me back and it worked! I didnt buy anything from them and Ron was willing to help me out. The best way I can describe this place is as follows. ... ...If Best buy/Magnolia is a used car lot, than World Wide Stereo is the equivalent of Jay Lenos garage. And the best part is all the sales people actually know what they are talking about and dont just read the description out loud to you. They are fully aware of the differences and capabilities of everything they sell and you will too, if you werent already. Absolutely the best plce to get speakers or a TV or even headphones without any of the hype and trickery/laziness of the big yellow tag stores.

Easily one of the nicest audio shops Ive been to. The staff were super friendly, very helpful, and they had an amazing selection. I was even able to demo some very expensive headphones despite only being in the store to buy speakers. Spent almost two hours in here with their salesman Rob demoing various speakers. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. You can really tell he enjoys what he does. He took the time to answer every question I had, explain elements of audio world I didn’t understand, and didn’t mind switching back and forth between several speakers I was interested in purchasing many, many times. In the end I did purchase a set of SVS ultra towers from him, but never felt pressured to do so. The guy is a class act and one of the best salesman I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with.All of the other employees I came into contact with were also polite and helpful. They have a large selection to demo and it’s a nice environment to experience all facets of the home audio spectrum. If you’re in the market for some hifi gear, this is the place to go!

Tommy sourced some great audiovisual equipment for us, and they did an excellent job of installing it all. Given that it was new construction, there were the inevitable start up gremlins with wiring installed by the builder, etc, but the World Wide team worked everything out. Highly recommended.

Really nice showroom and plenty of sound systems to demo. These are luxury sound systems for the most part so they are pretty pricey.

All the staff were fantastic. Dan, Pat, and Tommy are very knowledgeable and were especially helpful and as nice as they could possibly be, even though I needed assistance on a TV I had not purchased there. They really did go out their way to assist me. I would not hesitate to look to these folks when it comes time to purchase a TV or any other stereo item.

This is a review of Rob Marcoccia at World Wide Stereo. I have wanted a hifi stereo system since I was in high school, and around a month ago (over 20 years later) I finally pulled the trigger. I went to just about every local store in the Philadelphia area, and ended up buying from Rob. His approach was very helpful - he asked for my budget, then let me listen to a few different options without telling me brands/models so that my ears could do the picking. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and offered a great experience overall - he even came by my house a few weeks after the sale to make sure I had positioned the speakers properly and to make sure I was happy - which I undoubtedly am. I highly recommend Rob and will be shopping with him again hopefully soon!

Excellent store with a lot of knowledge about audio

We purchased our stereo system at World Wide Stereo two years ago. We had the good fortune to meet Tommy Gillanders, who guided us through the maze of choices. Weve been very happy with the purchase, but, more importantly to me, is the fact that when there was a problem, I called Tommy and he expedited the issue. Since then, we have made several purchases at World Wide Stereo. Six months after we bought a Sony DVD player, it wouldnt connect to Netflix. After spending too much time on the phone with Netflix, I called Tommy in frustration. He asked me to drop off the DVD player. At the end of the day, he called and told me they had taken care of the problem (which was the wireless connection to Netflix) not a malfunction with the player itself). There was no charge because they were able to address the problem in the store. Tommy is always patient and never condescending, which is important to those of us who are technologically handicapped. My question is, Why would anyone ever go anywhere else when World Wide Stereo is here?
