I was in and out of the store within thirty minutes, complete with an eye exam and purchasing a new set of frames. The frame selection is excellent and I saw many styles that I had never seen in any other stores - even the larger ones. Everyone was helpful and kind, especially considering how many people they assisted at once! My frames were also a very reasonable price, which is always nice. Altogether a great experience and I’m glad that I chose to come here.

Great customer service. Much more affordable than the big mall place I went to for decades. Very affordable and attractive eyeglasses. Good quality. The young lady who helped me was great! My prescription didnt change in the past 2 years and the doctor was honest about it. I decided on new computer glasses and prescription glasses - with insurance was 2/3 less than what I paid for an exam and to replace just the lenses in 2 frames at the other place. Would have still saved if I didnt have insurance. Also, I felt safe in the midst of COVID.

While the people who work at the store on Washtenaw are really great I am LESS THAN HAPPY with the company. I ordered 2 pairs of glasses, both red. I got my first pair today and it is black. Apparently if what you ORDER is OOS, they just randomly pick something else. Did I get a call?? Why no, no i did not. Could I have left them at the store. Yes. But I have not had a wearable pair of glasses in a month. Will my second pair be red? I am not holding my breath. Will they give me a discount for the wrong pair?? Probably not. Do I have a choice? Next time I order glasses I will choose differently.

December 2019, after exam my completed, I scheduled a follow-up exam at a specific day/time Dec 2020.I called to confirm my appointment and was told that there was no record of my Dec 2020 appointment. I was then told that the doctor only *recommended* that I make an appointment...which wasnt what happened at all. I was specifically asked if Id like to reserve a follow-up appointment and I did.After telling me that the time I reserved wasnt available, the Visonworks employee told me that she would contact me by CoB to confirm if an open appointment time could found in the remaining weeks of December 2020.

Appointment place on Monday 14, 2020 after 4pm for Saturday 19, 2020 at 9:20 am Ann Arbor location. Arrive at location is closed since they open at 10 am. After few minutes later an overweight female came to the door in a demeanor way ask me what I was looking for.I mentioned my appointment and since I was aggravating her apparently told me for what? I basically told her a vision test and she proceeded to tell me imposible. I ask her if she can check my name since I may be in the wrong place she said she doesn’t know what am talking about there is no Doctor there and proceed to close the door. This female employee and the values are garbage. I wish I can give them less than 0 stars.👎👎👎

What a nightmare this place has been. I visited on 8/31. When paying at the end, I used my FSA card first, knowing there was a bit of money left on it and then I planned to use my personal card for the rest. The woman swiped my card five times and said it wasnt going through, so I said forget it and gave her my credit card and it was accepted on the first swipe. Upon returning home I checked the balance of the FSA card wondering why it wouldnt work and found that I was double charged! I waited for the charge to drop off and when it didnt a week later I called to complain. I have been waiting OVER a week for the manager to return my call. I have called multiple times for the last two weeks and this issue has yet to be resolved. Every time I call they say the manager is not there. This is horrible and unacceptable. 90% of the time I call no one answers the phone, and the main 1-800 number plays hold music for 15 minutes without anyone answering that either. I will be contacting the BBB now.

We were very pleased with the service at Visionworks so far! (We haven’t received our glasses yet so I can’t comment about them.) The Dr was extremely pleasant. And Linda was helping us pick out glasses and she was fabulous! Very knowledgeable and friendly but not “in your face” or pushy in any way. She was funny! There are so many frames to choose from it took a long time to pick my favorite but we never felt rushed. Much better than the other “chain store” vision provider we used to visit.

Love, love, love. The sales staff were amazing to me and my boyfriend today. We came in as walk-ins, he looking to buy eyeglasses and myself as company and to *maybe* schedule an eye appointment for a later date since I was overdue. Our salesperson was amazingly sweet and asked if I’d like to schedule. I acquiesced; I was there, so why not? I fully expected to schedule and return within several days. NOPE. They took me in right then and there!! The exam was quick and comprehensive, and Dr. Kostas was super genuine and kind. Staff patiently and happily helped us find stylish frames without ever rushing us, even when things got busy. They thoroughly explained all of our options, priced each added component, and never once tried to sell us something we felt we didn’t need or want. The price of both of our pairs of eyeglasses were shockingly fair for designer brands, and we both left completely satisfied. I know I’ll be returning here in the future!

I am honestly surprised the overall rating for Vision Works in anything less than a 4.5. My experience was great. In spite of their small staff, Kelly and Clifton make it a point to be as accommodating as possible. I got lost on the way to my appointment and arrived late but was still seen immediately. Dr. Rivera is also one of the best optometrist I have ever had. He gave me the most the thorough eye exam I have ever received in all of my 16 years of wearing glasses. I have never been this excited about receiving my new prescription or as confident that I will have the most corrected vision possible. After my first visit it is evident that going above and beyond is just a part of their culture. Im also confident that I will look awesome in my frames as Clifton and Kelly literally helped me try frames on for an hour. If you havent been to this site go. They accept most insurances and are very transparent about cost. They will walk you through all of your expenses and do all they can to maximize your benefits.

I am one of their earliest customers and was elated that they took Davis Vision insurance, creating an affordable option to vision care. -- I have gotten glasses and contact lenses from them and have been immensely satisfied. They have a great array of stylish frames. The staff are friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and highly service oriented. Rayne, Linda and Kelli are great and have given good advice regarding which frames look best. They are available to help if ever I need small adjustments after the fact. -- -- I am very happy with the contact lens service received from Dr. River as well. He took lots of time with me to work with trials and recommended a very helpful procedure to improve my extreme eye dryness. (My lenses are very complicated and Dr. Riveras expertise has greatly improved my contact lens wearing experience.) -- Their prices for glasses and contacts, especially with insurance are excellent! -- I recommend Visionworks to colleagues and friends on a regular basis. -- Love them!!

I just had my first exam (since middle school) with Dr. Peskosky and she was lovely. She made me feel very comfortable and explained each thing she was doing. The front staff was super busy but still did well to navigate through everything and they were nice. I had a great experience and I will definitely be back!

Just recently, my husband encountered a problem with his glasses. We have worked with Kelli on previous visits...and we were very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with her again. She is great; never any pressure, always a smile on her face, and she goes above and beyond our expectations. This was an amazing experience. Clifton was very helpful in picking out our glasses styles and walked up through the process from start to finish. Update 2: after two years, I returned to this place, they dont know the special sizes printed on the handle of your glasses. It is very important to wear the right size; otherwise, the prescription does not help when the focal point of lenses will be in some location not matched with your pupils.The width of the frame and length of nose bridge are two important measurements printed on the handle of frames. When someone working there doesnt know this, how can I expect they measure correctly. Another experience with lack of training. Never go back there.UPDATE: I went to the store. The manager, Kelly, apologized for the inconvenience and replaced my damaged frame with a new one. She also checked the measurements on the other pair then made some adjustments. Thank you!ORIGINAL:First of all, I have been wearing eye glasses for 35 years. You can say how many time I have visited eye doctor and changed prescriptions, new glasses. For the first time, I used Visionworks to order only my eye glasses. I had my prescription with me and my doctor is amazing.I just received two pair of my glasses: one for distance and one for computer, progressives. The measurement for my computer is off. I have to look to the right side to see clear, left side is blurry. It is an error in measuring the location of pupils and their distance (horizontal) on the lenses.The distance, was good until the lady tried to adjust the hands for me. She bent them too much without measuring and checking the back of my head. Obviously, it was too tight. She tried to return them to the first position, but this process damaged the handle of my $300 frame.So disappointed that I waited for my new glasses for ten days and I have to spend more time and go in to have them replaced. Not recommend this location. I think there is lack of training and supervision.

The staff is so friendly and welcoming! They have a wide variety of affordable frames to choose from and I received my glasses in just 7 days. I highly recommend this place, you wont be disappointed!!

Hi, I went to take a sight exam in the Ann arbor store, and the attendant confirmed to me that the plan covered the exam. Then, another person offered me extra exams at a cost of $18. After I took all the exams, she charged me $60. I tried to argue with her, but she said she couldnt do anything because the exams had already been done. I felt very bad and vision work looks like a scam.

SUPERB service and selection. My whole family has benefited from this location and the help of everyone who works there. I recently had my lenses replaced because of scratches and the warranty coverage paid for it all with no hassles. I like how the long timers who work there genuinely care about your experience.

Edited my original review to 1 Star.I visited Vision Works last year just after it opened, hoping to get a decent, cheap eye exam. I was extremely disappointed. Not only was the service unprofessional, the optometrist on staff (Dr Montanez) informed me that I was borderline for glaucoma and that I should go see a friend of his who was a specialist. He gave me a referral form and told me they would call. I should have realized I was being played the second he pulled out a stack pre-filled referral forms, but I trusted that he was a medical professional and wouldn’t tell me something was wrong if it wasn’t. So I left with my prescription and a fear that I was going to go blind. The doctor he referred me to called for several weeks but I didn’t feel right about the situation and decided to get a second opinion. I visited another local, optometrist who is a U of M grad and after my exam, was told my eyes were in perfect health and that In fact my vision had improved since my last prescription was issued. No glaucoma. No blindness. And I will never go to a Vision Works again! Avoid at all costs! Scam alert!

Late evening appointment, and I was there a while. Clifton K. initially helped me the day before and I was helped the next day by Rayne. Both very professional, and helpful. Loved their insight and the information they provided to the best options for my son and I. My first experience with VisionWorks was one to rave about. Returned glasses because I couldnt see out of them. They said that I was a non-conformer .(not that they might have made a mistake making them). I have been waiting since May for a refund. I had an eye exam at Visionworks for the firs time. I had been a UHS patient, but I decided to stop using their bad service. Its hard to make an appointment with UHS, but I was able to choose anytime at Visionworks, which was a big plus.At first, I wasnt thinking of getting a new pair of glasses because I just wanted a new prescription for my contacts. But after their staff told me that my insurance covered most of the expenses, I decided to get a new pair. Mr. Clifton (#teamclifton) and Ms. Linda were very friendly and helpful. The doctor (I forgot her name) was excellent, too.All in all, I am very happy with their service. I should have switched to Visionworks from UHS sooner.

Ive been here a couple of times and the most recent time today was my fault. I let a screw on my glasses come loose and of course it fell out.
