Dr Takahashi provides a thorough and comprehensive eye exam, she has state of the art equipment that helps her look deep into the structure of your eyes to see anything that’s going on and diagnose disease. I was so impressed by her knowledge and the time she takes to explain everything so you understand.Dr Takahaski and all of her staff are focused on the patient and together they provide a great experience. They are professional and kind and helpful. I felt totally safe while in the office. A little tricky to find the office the first time but everything after that was smooth! The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the doctor did an excellent job taking the time to answer my questions. Dr Takahashi took the time to explain all the test results for my retinal problems; explaining the images on the computer as well as showing me on her model of the eyeball and all its parts. She also showed me the differences between my good eye and my bad eye so I could understand better, and helped me get an appointment with a specialist in just a few days. I was her last appointment of the day and she stayed late to make sure we had all the tests and images we needed - thanks to her staff for sticking around too!

I am impressed with the amount of time Dr Takahashi spends with me and how thorough she is. She answers questions and explains what she is doing and why and goes over what she has seen in all the results collected. Her staff is also thorough and helpful.

I can confidently say during the many years Dr. Takahashi has helped me with my eye care, I have never been in a more comfortable setting in any of my health care experiences. Besides the confidence I have with her medical and technical knowledge, she has a unique caring way of sharing what she has found in my exam. I feel very fortunate to have her as my eye doctor.

I started going to Takahashi several years ago when I moved to Ann Arbor. I chose them in spite of the fact that theyre not in network for my insurance. Its well worth it to get the top notch care I get. The doctors really understand my eye history and how it affects my vision. They explain everything they do and their findings in a way that makes me feel included in the process. They have a good selection of frames for glasses and I can actually find ones that look good and fit my face (which is not easy for me). Best of all... when I leave there with glasses and contacts, the prescription is always spot on. I recently moved out of the area and went for my annual exam to another provider near my new home. The prescription was wrong, and they kept trying to upsell me on vitamins and additional exams I didnt need. It was overall an awful experience. This year, I decided to suck up the hour drive to Takahashi so I could feel confident about the care and be sure that I would be able to see! As long as Im able to get there by car, Ill always go to Takahashi.

Bad communication. I have been waiting 5 months for contacts, and they have not gotten back to me in a timely manner. They were unkind and vague when discussing how much it cost, and I have asked twice for them to call me, but Ive gotten nothing.

Ive been going here for a couple of years now. They have a great selection of stylish frames, including petite fit. The staff is super helpful and have even ordered different colors of frames for me to try on when I wasnt sure which one to pick. The vision prescriptions have been consistently very accurate.

This is the most professional..and pleasant experience Ive ever experienced for an eye doctor and staff. I never wait very long to have my testing, examination, and fittings. Even problems like broken frames or lens are dealt with easily. They are located near my home and other amenities..I usually pick up Panera or applebees after my appt!I always leave with a smile..the staff is very pleasant:))

I am a new client/patient and had a great first experience with Takahashi Eye Care. My insurance information was gathered up front which made my visit quick and easy. My exam was very thorough and well explained and the ordering process for my new glasses was easy, seamless, with just the right amount of help (and no pressure!). We had a recent sports injury with an elbow to the eye and Takahashi Eye Center was outstanding to work with to get our athlete in quickly for a visit and to fully evaluate the extent of the injury. They were very professional and thorough and we felt well taken care of during the entire process.

Dr. Takahashi is GREAT - Ive been seeing her for 20+ years and always feel that my eyes, which are both stressed/overused (yup, computer work) and *complicated*, are in excellent hands. She also has a lovely manner with patients - very warm and friendly - so its fun spending time with her. I also really like her staff, who have been with her for years, and that always speaks well for a boss. They work well with our insurance and are very user friendly. Dr. Takahashi also sees my husband and, now, our younger daughter - we all love her. I highly recommend this practice! (Easy parking and access, too.)

Most pleasant eye appointment! Dr Takahashi was very informative and made sure that I understood all the changes happening in my eyes. She was not in a rush and she did not push any productsuggestions - even offered to give me the prescription to get my glasses elsewhere, if I so wished. A friend recommended I come here because she was impressed with the amount of time they spend with you to solve your vision problems correctly. Dr. Pack did various tests and spent the time necessary to find the solution for improving my vision. I was very happy and appreciative. About a month ago, I had received a vision test at the University of Michigans Kellogg Eye Clinic that hadnt solved my vision problem. I have subsequently learned that doctors at the University of Michigan only have a limited amount of time they can spend with patients. Spending the time, if necessary, to come up with the right solution makes all the difference!

Shes easily the best Ophthalmologist Ive seen and is fully knowledgeable about new advances in technology. She does an excellent job explaining procedures as well as explaining changes in prescriptions, effects of aging on the eye as well as issues I had when driving at night and in the rain (Shes right, if this is a problem contacts are far better than eye glasses). Ive recommended her to numerous people with nothing but excellent feedback. Shes worth a drive from other areas of the State.

Really doubt other 5 star reviews. Sent my daughter for eye exam in 01/2018, I have never got the prescription results but a bill. they refused to give it me in the beginning saying that they need my daughters old prescription from UM kellogg. This is wired. One week later I called for results, still nothing. So I told them her prescription because it took too long for them to get it directly from Kellogg. They said they will email the result to me. But still nothing showed up in my email including junk box, oK that is fine as we dont trust your results anymore, we went to another eye doctor and gave us results immediately. What is worse is coming bill (yes they know how to send bill but not your prescription). My insurance was UM premium, it should cover 100% as every year we got it fully covered in other eye doctor stores. But this time in this office besides a $100 fee the insurance covered, they charged a VDT Refraction for extra $40. this never showed up in my other eye doctor visits. Same exams same tests, why your office charge extra? I also found Their lens and glasses also much more expensive, when I was there I asked their miraflex and zoobug cost is about $400 each pair after UM insurance, while I got exact the same brand same frame with highest quality lens for my daughter @$80 in AC lens without any insurance. The staffs there looked nice to you but I heard they laughed behind me taking about my decision not buying their frames. I went there because of those 5 star review, but my experience is quite opposite.

I have been going here for over ten years because the quality of technical care is the highest and the staff is friendly and on top of everything! Cannot imagine going anywhere else. Highly recommended!

Very disappointing. I took all FOUR of my children to Dr. Takahashi Eye Care and had a very positive experience. However, when calling to schedule their one year follow up I also needed an eye exam. I was told that she was not accepting new patients and that I could not be seen my Dr. Takahashi but my children could. This doesnt align with the reasons why I chose a smaller Eye Care center for our family.

10/10 for good website (I like knowing what kind of place Im going before I go), 5/5 for having forms online to download and fill out at your leisure, 10/10 for comfortable atmosphere and furnishings, 5/5 for insurance acceptance, 30/30 for being very friendly, educational, helpful, investigative, and compassionate (she really takes the time to understand what you need, tells you what is going on, and how she plans on addressing it), 15/15 for helping to pick out glasses (I hate making such decisions), 20/20 for informing my decisions by revealing where to best apply my insurance and volunteering to work with me to keep costs down (I hate asking about such things, so it is great for someone like me when she offers it), 10/10 for high fallutin technology and its use (using at least some German made instrumentation (I regard Germany as the best for these types of things) and have this cool 3D eye camera that some how takes a picture of the inside of your eyeball without the puff of air! (pretty sure it was sorcery, but it could also have been German or Japanese engineering)), 0/5 because I didnt have x-ray vision like Superman upon leaving, so an excellent score of 100/105
