I needed somebody to install doors for our two-door garage, and I looked up the different companies available in Albuquerque. Best service and prices in town. Sandia came out to my home about a year ago when I had a broken spring, they were out quickly and had my garage fixed in no time. Not only did they beat every price in town they also have a lifetime warranty on the spring. They also came out to my home today because I had a cable that had become undone. I was able to put the cable back on myself last night and lower the garage but I thought I had not done it correctly. They came by today, inspected it and to my surprise he told me I had put it back on correctly. The owner said I did a good job and he didnt need to fix anything. He then told me there was no charge! I was shocked and said please let me give you something for coming out and he said no charge. He could have told me I needed a new flux capacitor and I wouldnt have known any better but instead he was honest, does honest work and now has a customer for life. We just had Brad (owner) and Joyce out to take a look at our garage door. Its been making this horrendous noise and I wanted to make sure it wasnt a safety problem. Brad checked it out and determined that it was due to friction. He applied some silicon lube and the noise stopped. We paid our nominal fee and thought that was the end of it. As they were driving off I closed and opened the garage door again and it made the same noise as before. Brad and Joyce heard it from the street, stopped and came back to take another look. Brad spent some more time lubing the track but couldnt get the noise to completely stop. He refunded our fee because he couldnt fix it and didnt feel right about charging us (even though we were completely fine with paying it). He assured me that it was not a safety issue and to call him in a few weeks if it didnt go away (giving time for the lubricant to completely coat the track). He didnt try to get us to buy a new garage door opener even though that is likely the only way to make the noise completely disappear (its related to the style of opener we have).Through the whole process (setting the appointment, moving the appointment, and calling to let us know they were on the way) the communication was clear. When it is time for a new garage door opener or even just routine maintenance we will definitely be calling them for the work!

Our torsion spring broke Thursday night, right as we were getting ready to go to bed. I called Sandia Garage, and got an appointment for the next morning. They showed up promptly, and had everything repaired and ready to go in less than half an hour. They even greased our wheels, and tweaked our motor so our garage opened more smoothly. The cost was very affordable (less than $300 for our repair). The two repair personnel who came to our house were so friendly, and loved our dogs. Definitely would recommend to anyone. While I hope our garage doesn’t break again, I’ll be calling Sandia again if it does.

I called this company at 0727 this AM and spoke with Joyce. She was not pleasant nor friendly but very matter-of-fact, letting me know they could get a technician out there by 1100. She did call at 1047 to say someone was on their way (she didnt give their name). At 1117, Joyce called me and said the technician couldnt get into my gated neighborhood (after I gave the service entrance code PLUS my personal code). She told the technician couldnt get into your neighborhood, for whatever reason then explained the technician went to another job when he couldnt get in. I asked Joyce if he called the service number and she replied, I dont know but hes out on another call now and said it would be at least an hour.What? How is this my fault to make me wait even longer? Sorry, but this is poor customer service.. maybe chalk it up to a bad day for the company??After calling another company (who was out on time, as quoted), I again spoke with Joyce, explaining the situation and she sounded surprised replying, you dont want them to come out? But the owner is on his way.Yes, Joyce l, I did want the technician to come out as scheduled and yes, I did want your company to help me with my garage door but, if your technicians cannot enter a three-digit code to enter the neighborhood, its probably best that that technician isnt working on my garage door.I completely understand that businesses get busy and cant always come out as quoted but, the poor customer service and especially, Joyce making it sound like I was pulling out of the deal when the owner is on his way was patronizing and unprofessional.

One of the hinges on our garage door broke causing two panels to push outwardly and the garage door would no longer go up automatically. Brad came and fixed the hinge quickly and also made sure that the garage door operated correctly after the new hinge was installed. When there were still some issues with the garage door operating correctly and smoothly, Brad trouble-shooted and took the time to make sure the other parts were in order and sprayed the parts that were rusty. After that he checked the door a couple of times more to ensure that it was working properly and it was after that. He was polite, respectful, took pride in his work and in doing a good/proper job, and had good customer service. His prices were reasonable and fair, and he was able to come on a Saturday afternoon without charging us a lot more for it. When I called to inquire about rates, availability, estimates, and what to expect, the person I spoke to was very polite, had good customer service, and answered all of my questions.
