Recently took care of my leaking tire quickly and at a great price. Theyve fixed other stuff for me, too. Location is great for me because I can walk home if needed. There are also restaurants you can walk to while you wait for your car.

Amazing customer service. I came in late on a Friday afternoon with a flat tire after stopping at two places prior that turned me away! The guys (Chris and Jose) made time for me as a walk in and with great customer service! I had to order new tires due to the flat and they had me taken care of within 24 hours! Great team of experts! Highly recommend!

These bozos installed our directional snow tires backwards. A tire place! They also failed to notice the bent strut and when we returned to question the messed up steering they attributed it to poor wheel alignment. They missed a chance to replace our struts and refused to reimburse us for the cost of correcting the tire issue. How do these jokers stay in business?!!

I made an appointment for an oil change several days before, but when I arrived I wasnt on the schedule. I was told they were booked out several days but I had a big trip planned. Coupon for oil change and tire rotation. Didnt do tire. Had to go back next day for tires. Missing nut on one tire and rest on same tire hand tightened 2 turns. I had to go buy a nut and bring it back for them to do it right. Offered no comp. For my inconvenience!! Stay away.

Made an appointment for Saturday, July 10th at 5 PM a few days ago for an oil change but when I came in, I was told that they actually close at 5 PM. This is weird because their website says that they close at 6 PM. If you close at 5, reflect that on your website and dont give an option for a 5 PM appointment. In addition, if an appointment is rejected, why are customers not given any updates about that? They dont say anything if your appointment is not valid and instead leave you hanging.Id leave a 0/5 if I could for both poor service and inaccurate information. Heres the photo of their hours for proof. Ended up just doing my own oil change because of the hassle. If you want something done right, do it yourself I guess

We’ve been taking our vehicles to Kirk and his technicians for years. Kirk is the first person in the auto service industry that I’ve ever truly trusted. So get this...I called Kirk on a Saturday morning to see if I could get my vehicle in for an oil change. Thanks to his flexibility, I was able to bring it in that day. I asked Kirk to take a look at the tires (47,000 miles) as well. We felt like the tires weren’t gripping the road like they should. Kirk told me that they always check the tires. Maybe I should know that but I’m happy he mentioned it.Kirk called a few hours later to let me know my vehicle was ready to go. He told me that my tires still had plenty of tread and that his advice was to get through the rest of the winter on these tires. He said they’d still be good through the summer and suggested looking at getting new tires before next winter.Have you ever had someone in the auto service industry ever suggest that you DON’T need a product?! After going to more than one repair shop in Woodbury I decided to try Car X for some front end work on my 2008 Nissan Titan. Not only were they courteous and friendly they got me right in and repaired my truck at a very reasonable cost which ended up being less than the quote. They definitely will be seeing me again (hopefully not too soon)

The auto shop I have ever been too! The most honest sincere staff. I dont usually review places and this place I believe deserves to be recognized. I want from the area and was looking at buying a vehicle. They took the vehicle in and went above and beyond to ensure it was a thorough check over by testing driving it and propping it up to get a good look. Due to them it saved me from buying a lemon vehicle. I will make the hour drive now to have them look at my car only from here on out.

Kirk is knowledgeable, personable and most of all honest! We have five vehicles that Kirk keeps maintained for us. So, sometimes I end up hanging out until my husband can pick me up and I really appreciate how clean the waiting area is kept. Also, its unbelievable how clean the restroom stays when you consider all the employees are males. Kirk will take you in the shop and show you the part that is bad or what is causing the problem. Take your car to the dealership and you leave wondering if they took advantage of you. But I dont ever have that feeling or concern when I leave CarX!Besides Kirk, there is another person that is a real super star and helps make the place run smoothly. Juan is knowledgeable, professional and great at diagnosing the problem. He is an excellent mechanic and deserves to be recognized for his expertise. Sometimes we forget to recognize the employees that help make the business as successful as it is.

I was pretty impressed. These guys gave me a really competitive price - even though I was almost stranded. They fit me in with hardly any notice.When a light came on after I got the car back, they explained what it was (not related to my repair) and instructed me how to fix the problem on my own.PLUS Kirk, the manager, is just fun to talk to about cars. If you are looking for an honest, reasonably priced and thorough repair shop, Car-X Tire & Auto is the place. I had a GREAT experience at this repair shop!! Recently (4/23/2016) Kirk, the shop manager, was willing to fit me into his busy Saturday schedule to give the car that I was debating on purchasing from a private seller, a full inspection for way LESS than expected. Not only did he give it a thorough inspection (approximately an hour), but he also gave me an itemized print out of what would need to be done to the car in the future due to the miles on the car. If I am ever in the area again I would definitely go back and have work done by them.

This is the ONLY automotive repair shop that I will bring my vehicles to. Excellent staff and fair prices. I had an oil change that needed to be done with tire rotation and I forgot my wheel locks at home, and told me I could come back a different day to get it done, no questions asked and no extra charges when he easily couldve charged me extra for my negligence. Kirk and his staff have always provided our family with honest service and repair for years. I cannot tell you how many times weve gone to the local Volvo or Chevrolet dealership for estimate/inspection/repairs and was faced with large repair costs. He takes the time to tell us what we need to look out for in the future on our vehicles and when to address it. He takes the time to find out the causes of the problem vs immediate replacement. I called at 7:30 in the morning about the need to have my brakes checked. They not only took my car on a busy day, but checked and replaced the front brakes and turned the rotors the same day. They said my rear brakes were fine. Kirk and the team provide excellent and trustworthy service!

I stumbled into this store full of very friendly knowledgeable auto technicians last weekend..Myself as well as my wife and kids were left high and dry with a completely dead vehicle in Woodbury.. The manager of the store Kirk is a very sincere, and kind person.. He identified the problem with my car, which was the one of the worst things, (in my opinion) that couldve gone wrong with it..That was the engine ceased up..He did the best he could do to get me the best deal in town, but at the end of the day, I knew I had to get it out of there and into the dealership..Kirk didnt hesitate, didnt try talking me out of taking it somewhere else..Infact he said he didnt blame me for wanting to.. I ended up taking it to the dealership, where its a complete recall warranty issue and being handled from there, but I wouldnt have even know where to start this off it wasnt for Kirk and his group of good guys hes got working there..In my opinion Kirk deserves the good review just as much as someone that did do all the work successfully..Sorry if the story sounds confusing..Thanks Kirk

Great service. Even though I only came in for an oil change, they went the extra mile. They topped off my coolant, which was low, and reattached a shield beneath the car. Everyone else there seemed to be regulars, so thats a good sign.

A few months ago, I stopped by the shop as somehow I ran out of oil. They were closing soon but Kirk G., the store manager, told me not to worry and that he would be right with me (as he was helping another customer). When he finished, he filled my car with oil as I was telling him my car was making noises as well, seeming like when hitting the gas, there was a delay in this translating to acceleration. Hence, he spent another 15 minutes looking up codes in his system and gave me codes for known issues that may be covered under warranty. He even offered to print the complete information but I said the codes would suffice. When I asked what I could pay him, he said it was on him. Kirk deserves all the accolades in the world, you do not find people or businesses like this any more. Thank you Kirk and thank you Car-X!!

I took my car in to carx for a problem created by another repair shop which I won’t name but is right next to them and Kirk was great I had never been there before and he took the time to address the situation with my car even though they were about to close. My car problem was fixed the next day. Since then I have stopped going to my old repair shop Goodyear and have had nothing but honest and dependable service from Kirk!! I would definitely recommend carx to people they are not about taking advantage of people and trying to make a quick dollar on repairs you don’t need. Kirk you’re the best!

It took 3 hours for a scheduled oil change. I watched other customers sit in the lounge for longer than me also for a routine service check. If you want good customer service and timely repair/service you wont find it here. I purchased some coupon cards from a Baseball player to help support his high school team and this was a total waste of money. Next time I will just give him $20 and tell him to keep the card. If anyone wants the remainder of my free oil changes let me know and you can have them.

I went to car-x because my cars engine light was on. I was treated in a very polite way. What I found more important is that the staff sat down and explain to me the possible failure of my vehicle in an honest and sincere way.

They gave me a free diagnostic and got me scheduled to come in the following week. Its a busy place and I understand why. Fair price and knowledgable staff.

My wife and I traveling from Michigan to California in our motorhome to visit family. We stopped have our air conditioner on motorhome repaired. The manager and employees went out of their way to fit us in, repair, and test our A/C unit. What impressed me was the time taken to research and make sure it was done properly. Our motorhome is a 1991 Gulf Stream. Also while I was there a customer came in that has some very serious medical problems and they were repairing his automobile so he could safely get back to family and weren’t even charging the gentleman for their services. I highly recommend their services to anyone needing automotive work done on your vehicle. Also there were two differ individuals that had classic autos that were having repairs done. These folks don’t take there classics to just any shop. That tells you this place does excellent work.We will definitely stop by the next time passing through. Just to say hi and thanks.

The ONLY reason I am giving this place a 5 star review, is because of the Store Manager:Kirk Gilbertson!!! Store 1528!For the first time in a long time, I feel like I have someone I can talk to, and trust with my car! Being a woman, I usually get talked AT, and not to. I know enough about cars, but not in the area I went to Kirk about. Without putting another place down, he let me know they were not correct about what was wrong with my car, and wanted to charge me all this money! In the span of about 3hrs, he not only diagnosed the issue, but fixed it also! Im disabled, so not having to bring it back again was huge! His guys in the back were super nice also! And if he starts off with you, he follows your car all the way thru until its completed, so you only have to deal with one person! HOWEVER!!! Here is the AWFUL EXPERIENCE I had. Before I want to Car X, at home, on my cell, I went to the Financial Section on their website, and enrolled in the Car Care Charge Card, which I was approved for. When I went to pay for my car, using this method, it would not go thru, I showed Kirk on my cell, where and how I applied for it, he said, does it say Car Care? I said yes, he then saw it went thru Synchrony Bank, he said they dont use that one anymore. So he went into his cell, pressed on the same thing I did, and guess what? It still said Car Care, which he said is the right card, but still went thru Synchrony Bank, which was incorrect! Now Im really upset! Because this is the only way I had to pay for my car! We went into his office, and I re applied, and it went thru on another bank on his computer, and was approved.I told him, youre going to have a lot of angry customers if they dont fix this! This is something the IT folks at corporate should of already knew about and fixed. I plan on calling the Corporate office also, the name of the card you apply for is the new and correct one, but under the wrong bank! And then my credit also took a hit because of having to apply again! So I was not happy! He was the only reason I was not really upset! Kirk is a down to earth guy, who knows what hes doing, is great with people, and really wants to help. So because of him, I will continue to refer folks to his shop, but I hope the corporate people get their stuff together and fix that application process!!! So other than that huge issue, this is a great place to take your vehicle! And ask for Kirk!!!,

Made an online appointment. Received a confirmation E mail from corporate confirming the appointment. Set my alarm and got up early to get in this morning and was told I had no appointment, that the branch manager should of set me an additional E mail and probably never checked his phone. They asked if I could come back in the afternoon. I have plans. Now sitting a another local place getting my oil change done so I can go about my day. Never again!!!!

We were visiting the Twin Cities at the end of January. The temperature was really cold, and the tire low pressure light came on in our car, so we needed to find someplace to add air to our tires. This is the only place I will take my car for service. They are always friendly, ready to help with any problem, seem to know what they are doing.

Kirk and the group at Car-X were GREAT! I called as I needed a fan belt on my truck and this was the 3rd call I made to repair shops in the area. Kirk was the FIRST guy I talked to who gave me straight, to the point information! All other stores I talked to gave me doom and gloom, and I may as well toss my $35,000 truck in the junk yard because I lost a belt and the damage done (without looking at it or asking me questions they should have) was too great. Kirk stated he was fairly booked for the day, but they stated they would do their best to get me in, saying he needed to see the vehicle prior to giving me ANY news.Well, after about an hour.....Kirk had the belt replaced and said there was no damage to my motor. He gave me a list of things that SHOULD be done (Not HAD to be done) to the vehicle, and made sure I watched out for a few things in the future.That was a year ago, and to this day, I have broght my Nissan 350Z to him for tires, and one of the things he mentioned in my 1st visit was I had a leaking head gasket on my truck, so he is performing a head gasket replacment (NOT a minor job!!!) as I write this!From belts and tires, to a COMPLEX job like head gaskets......This is my FULL service repair shop! Honest, fair, and friendly! What else can you ask for!

My wife went into the store in Woodbury MN with a coupon for a $19.95 oil change on our 2014 Buick Enclave. By the time they were done they had convinced her to put full synthetic high mileage on a car with only 71,000 miles. Clearly they took advantage of a woman that has no car mechanic experience I’m sure this would of not happed if I had taken the car in there myself they will never get any of my business nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

I called this morning to see if they were open and if they could fit me in. They said no problem. I drove on over and had to wait for one lady before me, but got in right after. Another shop had messed up my tire sensor months before and ever since the tire light was on. No one could seems to figure out what needed to be done. I think I took it in 3 other times before Mitch the technician got his hands on it. In only 5 minutes, he diagnosed the issue and adjusted the prefctly good sensor 90 degrees so it could be read by the cars computer properly. No upsell, no line of BS from the Service Manager Kirk that I needed some expensive part or a long list of other dealer-recommended service or repairs. Just good old honest customer service. I read these 6 other reviews and noticed htat they were all a year or two old. People love to complain, but rarely remember to call and compliment a job well done. Felt I had to leave this.Well done Mitch!

Our family was traveling through the Cities and noticed our rear wheel making a disturbing noise. Thankfully we pulled off at a CarX in Woodbury. It was last Friday at noon when we stopped. The manager, Kirk, said they could look at it within 10-15 minutes. Wow, that was prompt. At quick glance, they believed it would require a new wheel bearing. But when they took the wheel off, they discovered that the lug nuts were just loose and the wheel was missing a couple of them. They didnt perform a costly unnecessary repair. They accommodated our emergency situation and to top it off, they didnt even charge us!! Unbelievable and unexpected customer service. I now have a car guy whenever I find my way passing through the Cities. Thanks Kirk and the guys at CarX! We were crazy blessed by this shop.
