Sue was incredibly kind, professional and very knowledgeable when I was describing the issues i was having! Omg! I cannot express how happy I am to have found them! My MacBook had a screen problem back in September 2020 and I took it to Mr. Phix, they told me it was a cable problem and and I paid for them to fix it. After >4 months the same problem came back. I took it back and they “fixed” it again. Next day my computer wasn’t turning on. I went back and the Owner Ted glackin was extremely rude. He screamed at me and he didn’t want to fix it. I was literally in tears. He told me that it was all my fault. I went to Bilzi Mac after and Sue checked my computer and in less than 10 minutes it was fixed. She explained everything to me in detail and couldn’t have been more helpful. She showed me the inside of my computer and explained to me that none of the things that Ted told me was true. I had the best experience here! They were very friendly and helpful. I cam in with an old mac book air that was broken beyond repair. They informed me about all the mac airs they had for sale. In the midst of the stay at home order, I dropped my Mac and broke a dongle off in the port. Bilzi immediately said bring it over, they were friendly and welcoming, were obviously on protocol for cleaning. I was a software developer and thats where the market was. So I wasnt a tried-and-true Mac guy. But my daughter had a MacBook Pro that was running slowly and she sent it to me to see if I could improve its performance. No. They spent 15 minutes of their time because that seems to be the kind of people they are. Trusting. Almost makes me want to go back and buy a Mac! My daughters Mac Book Air updated automatically, and then would not boot up. She is taking summer classes online, and the laptop contains all of her Thesis Research, as well as her Fullbright Application (AND it was not backed up- separate story about someone so smart being so dumb as to not back up! But I digress....) Sue was fantastic- not only did they get the laptop up and running, they fully updated it, and even performed a full back up onto a separate hard drive I provided, at no extra charge! Somehow these miracle workers saved my laptop after a friend accidentally spilled a full cup of hot coffee on it! Wayne was particularly helpful with his calm demeanor and honest prediction that I may need a new computer. He went to work immediately and took care of it before anything corroded! Bilzis fee for the complete cleaning of the laptop was incredibly reasonable and all staff were super polite and gracious.

They are the BEST! I badly damaged my macbook pro by accident and they were able to save my hard drive and I got a GREAT deal on a nearly new Mac from last year that has 1TB storage. So happy as really I was due for a new computer and this was the best possible scenario. The accident happened while I was in Raleigh and I took it straight to the Mac Genius Bar who told me there was no hope and tried to see me a brand new one. At a critical time, my top line, antiquated mac crashed. I took it to Bilzi Consulting where I encountered Sue. She was quick to diagnose the problem and I left the computer there for extensive repair.Sue called me late one evening near closing time, to inform me that my mac was ready. She did not want me to have to go another day without it. She also stayed in the office past closing time to allow me time to drive over for the pick up.At that time she notified me that the bill was going to be hundreds of dollars cheaper because they had been able to take advantage of a extra warranty that I had purchased with the computer but had forgotten about.So the bottom line is that you can expect good, compassionate, quick service at Bilzi Consulting and they are ethical as well. Steve and Sue were both extremely helpful when my daughter brought her compute to their store for repairs. She is not from the Wilmington area, and they provided her with great service, and explained in detail what needed to be done. They were very responsive to both my calls/emails as well as my daughters.I am thankful that they were so honest and up front it what it would have cost us to fix her computer, and the risks we would be taking to fix her computer. Amazing service! I had gone to Best Buy because I had water damage to my Macbook Pro...I was basically told that my motherboard was destroyed and that it would cost as much as a new computer to be fixed. My dog Django did some weird acrobatics this morning & spilled coffee on my computer. My computer is my job so I was freaking out! I called Bilzi Mac & owner Sue was a true angel. She had me bring it in right away even though she was already closed. She removed the back, unhooked the battery & verified the sensor was not pink so the moisture damage is minimal. I am extremely satisfied with Bilzi Mac! I mistakenly deleted important family text messages from my iPad Air 2, and Steve was able to retrieve all of them. He even made a CD containing these messages which will make it very easy for me to transfer the ones I need to our family archives. He called several times to ask questions or clarify things, and to keep me informed of the steps he needed to take to correctly access what he needed--temporary passwords, phone numbers, etc. When I came to pick up my iPad, Steve took time to show me what was on the CD. I also had several general questions about my iPad, which he answered at length. The customer service rendered by Steve and Sue is exceptional. The repair was done in a very timely manner. Steve has some interesting stories to tell and Sue is so very pleasant and engaging. The store dogs are friendly but not overly so. I would not hesitate to recommend Bilzi Mac. Steves many years of experience are a real plus in solving problems. Hopefully I wont ever need them again but if I do, I will head straight to the store on Oleander.

If your Mac is ailing bring it to Bilzi! The Macbook Pro that I use for work wouldnt boot. I tried all the shade tree computer mechanic tricks found online to no avail. My companys remote IT guy couldnt help either. Brought it to Bilzi first thing Monday and the tech, Dwayne, had it humming by the end of the day. No upselling here. Just honest, first-rate, affordable and friendly service. This was one of the best experiences Ive had with any business in Wilmington.

I had a good experience with the husband and wife duo that owns Bilzi Mac repair. I bought a used Macbook Air in August and 2 months later I bought a used iMac desktop. The laptop had a broken piece of plastic on the sleeve that covers the hinge that keeps the monitor/screen fastened to the base of the laptop. A couple months after using the laptop, the hinge broke below the plastic sleeve and needed to be repaired. I brought it back to them and they told me it was not uncommon for that type of machine to break in that spot. All computers have a weak spot and thats it on the Air. It cost 200.00 to repair the hinges on the monitor/screen and the base. I paid without asking questions even though I felt like it should have been covered b/c it had damage to that area when I bought it. I should have had them pull the machine apart and look at it in front of me when I purchased it to make sure there was no potential damage to the hinge.When I picked it up, the repair seemed perfect. The machine open and closed like normal and looked good. 5 days after I started using the machine again it began to crack on the sleeve in the same spot. I brought the machine to their shop the next day and they offered to buy it back. The owner gave me a full refund for what I spent without any hassle.This doesnt happen anymore it seems like. I feel like it was the right thing for them to do and they offered it without me having to ask. I greatly appreciate their good business. I own a small business myself and understand the value in a happy customer when something out of the customers hands goes wrong.My used desktop that I also bought from them works great! If I need another used Mac, I will buy from them again. If I have a need for any repairs, Ill have them repair it.I never write reviews. It seemed appropriate for this situation to show potential customers for purchase or repair that they are good people that care about their customers. Thank you Sue.

I would not encourage anyone to take their Macs to Bilzi for work. A few years ago we bought a new Imac and took out our old Imac to have hard drive backed up to new portable hard drive. We were give our hard drive and then we used it as backup. Fast forward 14 months and we discover they had backed up the new portable hard drive with someones elses personal information... Upon learning this we immediately went to store to recover our thousands of photos but they had been erased. Years of priceless photos were lost due to this mistake of staff...Very disappointed in the carelessness of this incident..I personally like the owners..but again a mistake like this should have never happened..Steve and Sue felt sick about this ..As they should..there is no excuse when you are handling treasured memories from the last 10 years!!!

This review is to express our most sincere appreciation for the services provided by Mac Bilzi Services. Both Steve and Sue Bilzi have been extraordinarily helpful, friendly, and accomplished in two days what two other Computer Tech Companies (calling themselves “Experts”) have never been able to achieve. For over a decade we have been struggling daily with our computer system that had a multitude of problems. The “Experts” only provided partial solutions, charged us a fortune, and continually left us hobbling.We struggled with this daily, until we learned about and approached Steve Bilzi. He came out to our offices and reviewed our entire system which consists of both iMac and PC Computers. Within one day his diagnosis was complete. The next day he brought in a new hard drive, installed more RAM, 3 external hard-drives to back up our IBackup Program, and spent a few more hours upgrading and fine tuning our computers, all the while searching and finding the rest of the “hidden demons”. He was able to establish solid communications between our IMacs and the PC Server. This was one of our weakest links within the system, and Steve resolved it.For the past 30 days, we have not had any issue of being dropped, our systems open each morning quickly and without any mishap, our speed of operation has never been this fast, and all unnecessary popups are gone. We are thrilled and the increased efficiency that Steve has provided us is unmeasurable and much appreciated!From all of my experiences, they clearly state that Steve Bilzi, owner of Mac Bilzi Services is, truly, the only Computer Expert in Wilmington, NC.

Had two macs (MacBook Pro Black, IMac) both purchased back in 2008. Both recently experienced problems. The laptop had display problems, and the iMac was locking up for an unknown reason. Found Bilzi Mac after hearing about them on the radio. The laptop was repaired in one day! The iMac had an overnight stay and came back good as new! Both repairs were properly diagnosed the first time and repair costs were extraordinarily reasonable! Our experience with Bilzi Mac was outstanding!

I walked into Bilzi Macintosh after a month of buying and returning an Asus Desktop and an Asus laptop to BestBuy within 15 days. Everything about the $600 Asus (after geeksquad protection, etc.) just felt clunky and cheap. After a long day of being stuck in traffic around the UNCW area scavenging for used computers, I took the plunge...I bought a used 2009 MacBook Pro from Bilzi...And the story doesnt end here...I threw a styrofoam box of chinese food on top of the laptop (dont try this), and ran into the house with excitement only to find a nice film of fluid all over my large purchase. I wiped it down and immediately rushed back to Bilzi. Within 30min. - 1Hr they replaced the screen (was to be replaced anyways at a later date) and did some nano-speed trouble shooting and saving. These guys did not have to do this! Considering I had not purchased drop/spill protection...and the quick speed at which they rescued my investment , I am sitting in my house wondering why did I buy a used computer from 2009? Well, lets just say...convenience, my impulsive nature, and the homey-feel of walking into a local business far removed from the corporate big-box stores and speaking to individuals that have quite a bit of knowledge about Apple products and are willing to share that knowledge. And whats even nicer is I can stick a Solid State Drive into this baby and BAM...Ive got a computer that will feel even fresher!

Worse place ever- took my computer for two weeks and returned it fixed, but broke additional parts and did not repair them. Also CHARGED me for this. Never go here
