Nice & small location, no more than 2 people at a time. Snicker doodle cookies were amazing as always at any location I visit. They even asked if I wanted to assemble my sandwich myself or they make it.

I’m disappointed in their service. My cookies were taking longer than normal so I tried to call and ask how much longer and this man Kristian(sp?) hung up on me. I tried to get an estimate later but couldn’t tell me where my order was. It’s been over 90 minutes to get 6 cookies and it’s getting late and their lack of clarity and poor systems aren’t giving me much hope. 😡

Placed an order for pickup and the cookies were cold and hard! My first time ever experiencing this as I usually go to the other dc location or college park. Never going back to this location.

There were 4 people in front of us in line and we waited 30 minutes before getting our order taken, had I known the wait was that long I would have left. There were people who ordered online for pick-up who were really upset since their orders weren’t ready upon arrival and they had to wait 20+ minutes for their order. We went around 10:30pm on a Friday night. This was my first time going to Insomnia Cookies, not sure if it’s always like this.

My go-to Insomnia. Unfortunately within the past year, or at least the past 3-4 visits, the service and quality of the cookies have been poor. The past couple of times the workers are rude and cookies arent ready for pick up, basically me waiting in the store as if ordering in person. The cookies have gone downhill and they arent as delicious as they used to be (overbaked/hard/off).Hope everything improves soon because the location is convenient.

Was greeted by Tim at the front. He provided exceptional customer service. Great employees!

Went inside, not greeted and pretty much ignored by the younger man working the front. He said tell me when youre ready as soon as we get to the register and then walks away to the back. We left with nothing. Vote with your money. Been going here for years but this is unacceptable, as someone who also works in food retail.

They were put of the ice cream we ordered online, sent the order just without the ice cream. Having paid, we called to request a diff flavor- then they found the one we had originally requested-cookies were warm and tasty and both deliveries were quick even though one was a bit later

I’ve had plenty of insomnia cookies in my lifetime so I was expecting these to be the same soft, warm cookies that I’m used to. That was unfortunately not the case. These cookies were hard and kind of yucky.

First time @ this location. The parking in better even though its a greater distance for me from Historic Anacostia. The young lady was most friendly but desperately needed help as the line was long, stretching down the sidewalk. The cookies are SUPERB!

I love how Insomnia sells a sizable cookie for $2, versus Levain nearby that sells a huge one for double that. Id get a cookie here occasionally and enjoyed it.Then I signed up for Cookie Magic, a members program where you get 1 complimentary cookie a day, after seeing it advertised in store. I dont know if its related, but they started giving me cookies that were luke warm and outright stale, and Id have to go home and microwave it to enjoy it. If theyd heat it before giving it to me, that would be fine but they dont. Lost interest in the cookies and the membership program.My favorite flavor is the chocolate mint but maybe that is a less popular one so the cookies are less fresh in that flavor.

Customer service was awful. The staff person did not want to scan my barcode for me to receive rewards points after spending over 30 dollars. My chocolate chip cookiewich cookies were rock hard and none of us could eat them without hurting our teeth and ice cream was melted. The staff person had a care free attitude about concerns.

Cookies were OK but the staff was horrible. Tonight (June 11th, 2021) I saw a dude with a hoodie walk into the store, go straight to the back, and walk back out within 5 minutes. He clearly didnt work there and was likely a drug dealer...I say this because the employees were literally talking about their good dank when we walked in.

Got a major scam from their workers. I ordered the mini major rager and was not given a pile of broken cookies instead of the mini cookies that were provided on the sample image. This is beyond unacceptable and the cookies were not at the correct amount.

Terrible staff. They were unbelievably rude.

I went here 10/25 the day before thanksgiving at around 11PM. There were two employees (a guy and a girl) that I saw, and we waited in the store over 15 mins while they chatted in the back and then, after I flagged them down, argued loudly over which one had to come help us. While waiting though, they came out multiple times to tell other customers they couldn’t be in the store (because only 2 at a time) and made them wait outside in the cold, and telling us they’d come back to help soon. Once helped, it was only 5 mins to get our cookies, but there was a line of at least 15 people when we left and several people walked off from that line during this time.There are a lot of people in need of work right now. I’m sure this company could do better in terms of their employees.

I’ve been ordering from this insomnia cookies for about 8 months now and they have never once gotten my order correct...I usually don’t review places but after ordering $50 worth of cookies last night and then only finding ONE cold cookie in my insomnia box after a 2 hour wait delivery - I mean seriously?! I realize these are hard times but that’s no excuse to rob people of their money and provide horrible customer service... I couldn’t even get a refund because “the order had already been processed.” Is anyone actually running this place??

Maylan is the worst employee I’ve ever heard or seen. I can’t imagine how someone could be so rude. She had no formalities or any type of greetings when I walked in/left. Although, the cookies were alright, I don’t think the price matches it. This experience was so astonishing I couldn’t even react to how to reply to her. Literally, thought she was on drugs with how dead she was.

These are literally the most uninspired cookies I have ever had. They are small and one of them was just a little bit more than half a cookie they gave me. Lousy location and service.

Recently ordered cookies for pick up. I love insomnia cookies and just as always, they were delicious this time around. When I got there, the sign on the door said to knock so that someone would open the door and give you the cookies. As per the sign, I knocked for about ten minutes and finally the girl answered. She literally opened the door and stood there. Didnt greet me, and was EXTREMELY RUDE but asking do you have a name? when I said I was here for pick up. I feel like a simply hi would suffice. Never going back to this location, ever again.

I placed my order online for curbside service and arrived on time. I received no instructions prior to arrival and there was no number on the door to call. I called the number in Google and it went to their call center. They called the store for me and a guy came out and thrust the boxes of cookies through my window. That wasn’t enough... I get home about 20 minutes later and I’m missing cookies. Thanks... I’ll get my cookies somewhere else from now on.

This review is for the Georgetown location. The employees here are so unbelievably rude. They smoke in front of the building, and seem very annoyed that they have to be there. The cookies are really good, but I would be embarrassed to have employees like this represent my business.

Horrible customer servicethe people that work here have horrible customer service I understand that we’re going to a pandemic but they have such an attitude on the phone and in person and it really is not good for business.It was this hispanic lady that was so rude. I even had another customer tell me that she was rude to her as she waits for her cookies outside.. Not a good look. I understand people have bad days but the way she was treating her clientele was not acceptable under any circumstances.

Had a delicious cookie sandwich with oatmeal raisin and snickerdoodle, which were both great. Helpful, friendly staff. A great place. Im excited to go back and try some more, and anxious for an opportunity get a big cookie cake (which can be made fresh on just a few minutes notice).

Despite all the negative reviews, I placed an order (this morning) for a surprise gift for my husband’s birthday. They arrived 15 minutes early with warm cookies and a pint of ice cream. My husband was thrilled! Thank you for the great service! We’ll definitely be repeat customers.

The girl behind the counter was the definition of bad customer service. After reading all the reviews on here I cant believe she still has a job. She was rude and lifeless to say the least. The cookie would have been better if I didnt have the taste of confusion and hate left in my mouth from the lady cashier.

My mother, brother, and I decided to go to Insomnia Cookies in Georgetown on the night of May 25, 2020. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the location restricts the number of customers (two at a time) in the store and everyone has to be wearing a face-covering as per the order by the D.C. mayor. My mother and I wrapped our hijabs around our faces and my brother used a Palestinian kufiya I had in my car as a face covering. I was in the store waiting for our turn to place our order and the women at the register can clearly see that my face is covered. When our turn arrived, I called my mother and brother into the store so they can give her their orders. Before we had a chance to say anything, the women said you need to being wearing a face mask, which contradicts the signs they have posted around the store. I informed her our faces are covered and that it is in accordance with the mayors order and the store policy. She looked at us and said thats only a hijab. This is when the situation escalated and she refused to serve us and went to the back of the store, hoping we would leave. I called out to her and said excuse me maam, are you going to come to take our order? to which she responded Im done talking, I already spoke. The customers outside got involved and began telling her she is being discriminatory since she refused to serve us because we are using the hijab as a face covering. Her manager came into the store and asked about what was going on, then proceeded to defend the employee, insisting that it was a miscommunication. This entire time, the employee remained in the back of the store, refusing to serve us. Eventually, her manager took our orders but the situation wasnt resolved. Officers responding to a call in the area got involved with the situation and took everyones statements. They also documented the sign saying face covering not mask and informed everyone involved that this is a hate crime. On May 28, 2020, we will receive the official police incident report. My mother and I want to take this employee, as well as the company to court because of this discrimination.

Walked in and the woman at the register was irritated that we came in. She mumbled that they were out of several cookies. While we were deciding what to order, she stormed off. No problem! We walked right out the front door and went to Georgetown Cupcakes. The long line moved quickly and the service was friendly and efficient. An all around great experience. The Insomnia cookies experience was a nightmare!

Just ordered for the first time. Got the deluxe cookies and a pint of red velvet ice cream. It came super fast, and the delivery girl was really friendly. The red velvet ice cream is delicious! And the deluxe cookies are huge.

Ehh. Expected a softer cookie tbh. Not impressed.

I have been to two other insomnia locations , philly and the old Dominion University location. First there was no one at the register when we walked in, unprofessional, unwelcoming and unsafe (for the employee), the place didnt Smell like cookies ( both other locations do) and the young lady attitude was okay. She greeted us and quickly walked to the back and asked us to speak loudly so she could get the cookies. Then the cookies were burnt but they were still good!!! Overall, Being at two other locations, I think this one could do a little better.Thankfully I only drive 20 minutes or so to get the cookies .....

When youre drinking in West Chester, this is the place to go! The cookies are simple and delicious. They also sell milk.They are open until 3am and they deliver. What a business to run in a college town. They got something figured out.

Overpriced. 10 dollars for six tiny cookies that probably cost 10 cents to make? Its not like they are particularly unique or well made. There are only like 5 different cookies to choose from and they are all the usual chocolate chip or peanut butter kind that you could literally find anywhere, and mine were undercooked. I wont be back for the price alone. Do yourself a favor and just buy a tube of cookie dough from the grocery store. Save 8 bucks and get 5 times the amount of cookies that taste just as good, if not better.

Describe my experience in three words. Biggest let down. I ordered 3 cookies and they never came. I even called to confirm they were coming, which they assured me they were, never came. If you are like me and get excited for hot fresh cookies delivered to your door..then bake them yourself. This place is worse than a burnt cookie at a birthday party.

Insomnia cookies are really good. This particular location isn’t the best. Lackadaisical staff, small store, and subpar presentation. The cashier grabbed the cookies off a baking tray with his bare hands (after using the cash register) and threw them in a bag, breaking them in the process. Also, Insomnia Cookies are a bit pricey for what they are.

New website has some bugs to work out apparently. Have ordered multiple times in the past without issue, this time the new website decided that it did not like Chrome Autofill and deleted my contact info from the order. Got a canned response of it will be 10min from their support line. Called again at the 1hr mark and got a rather rude gentleman who told me the prior rep was full of it and that 45min was average (which its not). When asked for a refund he looked up an old order and refused to give me the full amount that I paid. Tallyho chargeback... Just wanted my damned icecream.

Some of the men who work here are absolute pigs. Openly saying sexist and racist things, and making fun of customers pretty loudly at the counter. Absolute garbage, nobody go here.
