This Target Optical has the absolute best service anyone could ask for! Everyone in this department is beyond informative and so beyond friendly. More specifically, I’ve been visiting Kristie for the last 2 years and she has been the nothing but the sweetest. So friendly, helpful, and resourceful. I’m so grateful to have met such lovely people in this this department and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!!

I have always had excellent experiences at Target Optical & today was no different. Sandra was extremely helpful & professional, & knowledgable of frame styles. She gave me suggestions on what frame had the best fit & shape for me, & made me aware of Targets sale/deals. It was easy, fun & Im 100% satisfied with my choices. Thank you Sandra!

Everyone went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable and making sure I was taken care of. Honestly this is the best optemotry office and doctor Ive ever been to. I will be bringing our three kids here next. The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable, the doctor made sure I knew exactly what was going on and answered all of my million questions. Hands down recommend this office to anyone and everyone! No im not paid or getting anything for free, Ive never been treated as well as I was today!

This group is extremely helpful and professional. I would recommend getting your glasses or contacts from no where else. They are the Best! Kristy, Sandra, and Brittany are an awesome team. They all deserve a sizeable raise in compensation. Keep them! Ill be back because of them, and have already recommended them to family. If it were Paul Campbell time, Id rate them even higher!

Kristie does expert adjustments of eyeglass frames, and makes recommendations for new frames that match your wishes. Her customer service consistently exceeds expectations. I have an unusual condition in one eye (adult strabismus) which complicates pupil distance measurement and frame fitting, yet Kristie “nails it” every time. I get my glasses at Target Optical in the First Colonial Road Virginia Beach store because Kristie is there.

This optical office has a new optometrist who is easy to talk to and does an excellent job. She does require everyone to have their eyes dilated on the first visit with HER. ( So she can have a fresh look at all her patients and give the best exam) which shows she does care and take pride in helping you. There were 2 ladies in the eye center and both were very nice as well. I had the Pleasure to interact with Brittany, who was wonderful.

They are always so nice and helpful. I do not feel rushed. Plus they always have sales.

I had an overall amazing experience at the Target optical on First colonial. The manager, Kristie, was very helpful and kind, helping me pick a pair of glasses that matched my eyes and face well. Dr. Thompson was very professional and kind and was very knowledgeable. I was in and out of my eye appointment within 15-20 minutes and my new prescription fits my eyes perfectly. My glasses arrived way ahead of schedule, I waited 3 days instead of 10 days. I will always come back to this location for eye exams and glasses.

I was seen by Dr Danielle Huynh yesterday at this location, on a Sunday, as a walk-in, as a new patient. I couldnt believe it! I am leaving town in a week and needed contacts which I had forgotten to accomplish earlier. Anyway, they got me in, did a very comprehensive and efficient exam, updated my prescription, and fitted me with quite possibly the most comfortable contact lenses I have ever worn. Thank you! I will be coming back to Dr. Huynh for sure.

Since it opened, I did not get an opportunity to come here for my prescription. For the first time today, I got an opportunity! I scheduled an appointment about a week and a half ago. It was quick and simple!When arriving, the guest must check in at the Target Optical center located inside the store next to Pharmacy. This is where you would fill out the basic information such as the name, medical history, and insurance. Ms. Kristie and Ms. Terri did a great job with helping me fill out my paperwork. Then you would get escorted outside to the actual doctors office. There I met Dr. Thompson. She did a wonderful job with making me feel comfortable (the puffer machine is still the worst thing ever). I thought it was also cool how everything in the doctors office was technologically advanced. It was my first time actually seeing the area where the letters change, being ran by a computer and also the machine that helps you see it. The basic which is better, one or. . two was different because the options changed with a computer.Over all, the Target Optical department is strong. They know their information and know what they are doing. Now I have to do the hard part. . picking my glasses.

Dr. Thompson provided outstanding customer service. My insurance had a glitch, so the doctor took time and spent 30 min over the phone trying to figure out what the issue was, he end up submitting paper claim. provided full exam and answered all my concerns . Will definitely recommend.

Oh man, where to start? Ill give the bare bones. Otherwise this will become a novel. Basically when the never working salesman, excuse me, Doctor Thompson takes four months to get your prescription to you, and get things finally resolved, thats not really ideal to say the least. This was finally accomplished only by force by the regional manager Sheila (thank you!).Do they have cute frames? Yes. But this was all negated by all the rest of the bull#$& I endured for FOUR MONTHS. So, after the months of lies and excuses, I soured completely to this entire optical store. I dont even like shopping at that Target anymore to be honest, and I used to shop there almost daily before this whole thing went beyond insane and absolutely ridiculous.None of this was acceptable in any way. Just gross. The level of disrespect and hostility was palpable. So completely dysfunctional and unprofessional. I still am having trouble processing all of the things that went down here, but especially WHY THEY HAPPENED.Looking back, I really dont even understand what I did to bring all of this down on myself. Why I was completely ganged up on by all of the staff involved and the alleged doc had everyone else doing her dirty work the entire time. It was so bizarre and frustrating at best. Just weird and so completely ugly.Pure unadulterated dysfunction.Pass.

Had a great experience with Dr Thompson for a contact lens and eyeglasses exam. Been to a few different places in the area and felt that this was the best exam I’ve had.

Took almost 2 weeks to get the glasses ( they had them in 5 days but put my number down wrong) get the glasses, return them the next day because numbers are etched in the lens? Apparently it my prescription and I shouldnt see it, but I did. Wanted a full refund had to explain WHY I wanted a refund multiple times because they didnt understand why. Got the refund the next day, asked for a copy of my prescription, they tell me to email thd target optometrist to get it. Email for almost a week with no response, I call they say theyre only in on wednesdays so i go NEXT Wednesday and just miss the optometrist (at 3 45pm) and was told to email......explained I had already done that so they give me a number to their office down the street. They have my prescription and now I can finally start the process of getting glasses FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE all over again, almost a month later...

Dr. Jeff was super nice. He did a great job and we both got our prescriptions very quickly.

Never again!
