Had a wonderful experience here with Dr. Ashley so I had to write a positive review. She was extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer every one of my questions. It is very obvious she is passionate about what she does. The whole practice was welcoming and friendly. It was a little bit of an extra drive for me but well worth it, thanks again for the great care I will definitely be back.

Been seeing Dr Leverett for several years. Always a pleasant experience and superb care. Her staff (Kelly) is also the best…caring for the patient and maximizing insurance coverage.

Fantastic first impression. I was a bit of a sass at first (sorry ladies), but they were still so friendly and patient. They were thorough and clear with every question I had. I didnt feel rushed in the slightest and the exam was very thorough. My only complaint is the woman in the dispensary. I went to her to get my glasses checked and although she was very sweet, she wasnt too great with instruction. I sat there and stared, waiting for her to tell me what she needed me to do, and we ended up in an awkward staring contest. Overall great experience!

I absolutely love Dr. Marcia Leverett! I initially went into the office in 2018 looking for somewhere to get my eye exam as I moved here from California. I moved back to California and still come to see her for my exams when I visit. Shes great. The staff is also so friendly and helpful. The wait is never too long, there are many frames to pick from and dont worry about being indecisive they all help you out with your choice if you may need it! :) Overall I have had very pleasant experiences. My only regret is not finding her sooner!

I have gone to Leverett eye care for over 4 years now and have always had a great experience. The woman who helped me this time, I believe her name was Carol was amazing to work with. She was great at giving very honest opinion about the glasses I couldn’t choose between and was wonderful with my toddler who tagged along. I’m sad to be loving away from such a wonderful and caring staff. The eye doctor this year realized why I had a hard time driving at night and even got me new special lenses to make it easier. Very grateful to this staff.

Went in during this pandemic and they were super respectful and following the best protocol by wearing masks and cleaning tools/machines before they were used on me. Was a great experience and I look forward to coming here for all of my eye needs. They were helpful in picking out frames and I feel confident my son, who gets nervous, will enjoy getting his eyes checked here when the time comes.

I have been seeing Dr Leverett for about 30 years and absolutely love her and the practice she has built! The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. Yesterday, I met Dr Ashley and she was phenomenal as well! I have recommended this office in the past and will continue to both recommend the office and come in myself! Never a bad experience!!

It was my first time visiting and my experience was very nice. The two ladies at the front desk were so welcoming. The waiting time to see the eye doctor was very short. Dr. Ashley was so helpful with the eye exam! Mona was also great with assisting me with picking out the right eyeglasses that is suited for me. I am definitely coming back here!

My 1 year old had her first eye exam here and it was such an amazing experience. This is one of the only vision care places in the 757 area that treats children. Our optometrist was specialized to work with children and it was a great experience. We are VERY excited to come back. Not mention the facility was very cleanly and staff was wonderful!

This is my first time having to go to an eye doctor for any of my children so it was a new experience for us. Im glad i chose this office. My 11 year old daughter saw Dr. Ashley, she greeted us and made us feel very welcomed. She made my daughter feel very comfortable for the exam. She was super kind and sweet, very professional. Dr. Leverett is awesome. I have been coming here to see her since I was 7(so its been about 19 years Staff is professional. Her equipment is always up to date. She is very personable and always has given the best care. The office is also very charismatic,and the grand old coffee/espresso puts the whole experience all over the top.

Got an appointment for my son the next day! The whole staff is GREAT. The office is very kid friendly. They have a little area for the kids to play, as well as a coffee machine. Dr. Ashley was great with my 5 year old. I definitely recommend this office and Dr. Ashley!

As a physician myself, I am well aware of quality health care and all of the aspects that are involved in that. Dr. Leverett and her staff are the ultimate professionals. Her equipment is state of the art, and of course, most importantly, she is extremely competent and knowledgeable in her field. Like everyone else, I need my sight, and I trust it to her completely. Aside from the excellent care provided by all there, the icing on the cake is a very friendly and compassionate manner. Very highly recommended.

I love this place! What a homey feel with their modern couches and living room type vibe. They even thought of the kids, creating a small section to keep them quiet while they play. But my favorite feature is the coffee bar, equipped with sink and touch screen coffee maker, who can resist hanging out here while the kids are with the doctor? It’s actually not stressful when this visit comes up each year, I almost look forward to it. And that’s just the space, the staff are friendly and inviting. More importantly they remember us, mentioning stories of our last visit or asking us how “it” went. It means a lot not to feel like just another file in the drawer. Also, there is a great selection of name brand frames this is what initially drew me to this location. I love a good brand name frame, and so do my kids. My kids love this place they are kid friendly here. My son in 5th grade, wanted to get contacts and they were so patient with him and are really good teachers assisting him getting them in and out. I would highly recommend this place.

I found this eye center on the web based on great reviews I read. The reviews were right. This place is awesome!!! They have a great staff. I have an extremely high prescription and Ramona has been great in helping me. She has helped me with picking out my eyeglass frames to helping me get the thinnest lenses possible. As for contact lenses, they will not just order your lenses. They prefer that you try them out first to make sure they are a good fit and that you feel comfortable in them. The eye doctor is also great and does a thorough exam. I would highly recommend this eye care center. I am completely satisfied with the service I received and will definitely be back next year.

Very impressed with this office! They got me in for an appointment very quickly and I love how they have appointments later in the day for patients who work. It is very clean and up to date.

My wife and I have be patients of Dr. Leverett for several years. We have always received courteous and professional service. Dr. Leveretts staff are thorough in doing the pre-tests on the eyes prior to our being seen by Dr. Leverett. All procedures are explained and performed in the most efficient and least discomfort to the patient. Dr. Leverett always explains any possible problems, changes, or recommendations in an easy to understand manner. Everyone there is friendly making each visit go by quickly.

She and her staff explained a different option in which she numbs my eye with drops instead and take a gentle look. What a relief!!! So happy with my experience. First off, it was relatively easy to get an appointment here, which surprised me, given its high ratings on Google/Yelp.Dr. Leverett spent a lot of time with me asking/answering questions so I was happy with my first optometry visit in decades.Beyond that, she recommended I delay my childs upcoming appointment (and the related $ in her pocket) by six months, so I am impressed.

This afternoon I was able to see the new Doctor at the practice, Dr. Gentile! He was extremely informative, patient, and explained to me my eye concerns in such an understanding and clear manner. He truly added to yet another great experience at Leverett Eyecare!

So when you have to drive from Newport News for a 9am appt for 2 girls and you can have a fresh cup of cappuccino with an expresso shot..my type of place! This is our second appt and they are amazing. Even though its a far drive for me, I appreciate the Saturday appt and this amazing coffee machine they have in here😊.The staff was very professional and very sweet. The last appt we had an issue with the insurance and getting my daughter a more extensive exam, they made sure they were able to get her that exam and made appts for services in Hampton. I wont mind driving over here once a year for that type of service for my girls❤

I used to see Dr Leverett when I was a young child and she was always really great. I just started seeing her again, as an adult, and am still very pleased. Her staff is really nice and helpful, I was able to get a next day appt even as a new patient, and I didn’t have to wait long to be seen once I was there.

Not willing to work with patients at all. Be very careful when going here. They put a hold on your insurance so they are the only ones who can use it. When we went to get glasses at another place we had to go through a BIG ordeal because our insurance was on hold through them. We never gave them permission to do this!! When we left their services we called back for our prescription to be sent to our new doctor ... they sent the wrong one and our new glasses were not correct. I think they did this for spite but no one will ever know.

Everybody is so friendly they take time to get to know you. Exams are very thorough and wait time is very minimal. My whole family sees Dr. Leverett.

Ive been going to Marcia for years and love her. You never have to wait for your appointment. We had a change in our insurance a few years back and had to leave her and go to Neatrour, Beach Eye Care for appointments. It was horrible. You felt like you were in a cattle prod. First you waited in the front lounge for 30 - 60 minutes, then you got to sit in a chair close to the examining room for about 15 - 30 minutes, then you were seen by a different associate everytime. Then Neatrour would come in for about 10 seconds and try to sell you on lasik which I would never do with him bc he could not even figure out which eye was my dominate eye for mono vision. When I went back to Leverett after getting my old insurance back, she suggested I try mono vision with my contacts but I told her it didnt work for me as Neatrour had already tried it twice. She looked at my charts and said he was not using the correct lens for my dominant eye. She set me up with mono contact lens and it worked instantly. I love Leverette but in my most recent visit I saw her new associate, Dr Ashley who is very nice, very knowledgeable and pleasant. I set up my appointment online and when I arrived I was not on their books but they were still able to take care of me with the new associate. I recommend calling in for your appointment and not setting it up online.
