I came in looking to just simply put on my new muffler and these guys took the time out to tell me and show me the additional things wrong with my truck. Could they have not told me? Oh yes. Could they have not given me options? Oh yes. But this is a great group of guys that were genuine and had great work and great ethics. I appreciate them so much!!!

You name a repair and I’ve taken every single one of my vehicles to this Midas to have the work done. Extremely professional, honest, and the quality of work is unmatched in my personnel opinion and I won’t be taking my vehicles to any other place. I was completely disappointed in my current experience. I had taken my car in at one oclock on a monday for a wheel alignment and a diagnostic. I wasnt updated on my car needing to stay over night. The following day I called at noon and asked for an update. There was no update to get due to them having a problem replicating the issue. I went in to help them replicate the problem and was denied. My car was not being serviced and was sitting in the parking lot. Due to them rejecting my help I asked for my car and was willing to pay for the service that was provided. The manager then told me I was expected to paid full price because I was asking for my car back. I explained how I would not pay for a service I did not receive. He then told me I can pay for my service and would not be welcomed at any other midas in the area because he was part owner of them all. I gladly accept and left. The manager is a heavy set 40 year old man with a long beard and is extremely unprofessional and lacks competent communication skills. Terrible customer service from him and only him. This location definitely gives Midas a Terrible name.

I went for a routine oil change. They did a complete inspection of my vehicle it was very convenient during the pandemic everything is appointment only. Be sure you print your coupon before arriving and also bring a hot beverage with straw and do not leave your mask. Other than that get your car serviced a Midas Holland rd or on the boulevard great service provided.

Took my 4RUNNER to the location next door to this place and it languished there for two weeks while they “waited on a part” to fix their equipment so they could fix my vehicle. Took it here and they had it in and fixed in 3 hours and now it runs BETTER THAN NEW!!! I WILL NOT take my 4RUNNER ANY WHERE ELSE!!!

I brought my car here a couple years ago. My oil started leaking when it never leak before. Midas is a rip off.

Called in the morning to ask about an ac evacuation, the guy on the phone said it would only take 20 mins. He sounded very professional and was very nice. I went in the afternoon and the overweight big bearded rude mechanic responded when I asked how long it would take by saying as long as it takes . Very unprofessional, very rude, and I would look into replacing him if I was his boss bc he is definitely not interested in serving midas customers best. I had to leave and take my money elsewhere where it will be appreciated more.

Today is my third time at Midas this is my first car ever and I know nothing about cars, when I brought something was wrong I called the nearest auto place in the area which happened to be this location, I wasn’t expecting the service I got but i really enjoyed the customer service, they handled my issues in a timely fashion and James was really great with me, I’ll be coming here for all of the servicing of my vehicle, they’re very prompt, considerate, and straightforward. James is great at what he does, we need more people like him in Customer Service positions these days.

James is the manager! Very professional! I went to 5 different places to fix my car and no1 could do it! He assured me that he had the best men in the city! I save almost 300 dollars at Midas! I highly recommend this place for anyone who are having strong maintenance issues with their vehicles!

I called asking for information and the man answering couldnt care less to help me out and then he just hung up on me.

Very unfriendly and not good services. Last time here refused to inspect a car with SAE DOT head and taillights. Do yourself a favor and go nextdoor. Much more family friendly at NTB and the mechanic actually knows what specifications are.

Great guys. Even with them being busy on a Saturday my vehicle was given the attention needed to diagnose a problem. Shane, Lance, and manager James were all funny, laid back and engaged with the waiting customers with conversation. I will be back soon for more repairs.

After visiting Midas on Holland Road, Va. Beach; I certainly appreciate how I was treated and very impress with the way the manager handle my automobile problems. His professionalism and politeness was so refreshing. He assured me that he would handle my auto problems and not to worry. As a senior I welcome his patience, his warm sense of humor and how he fixed my automobile. My car is now operating wonderfully, thank you Midas for being so helpful.

I was quite shocked when the person in charge (not the dude on his second day as an employee, not the mechanic busy working on another vehicle, but the other guy) told me “There are other places to get your oil changed. If you want me to get your keys and cancel the job, I can do that.” Really? I didn’t say I wanted to take my business elsewhere. I just wanted an employee to give me a realistic time on when my vehicle would be serviced, not a fake time. I told him that I wasn’t trying to be an a--, but I was frustrated because I called at 8:05 and got an 11:00 appointment, and then showed up fifteen minutes early. Here it was 12:36 and my vehicle was still parked outside. We were coming up on the two-hour mark for an oil-change, a job I expected wouldn’t take so much time, especially since I took the effort to get a reservation as soon as they opened! The manager (no name tag, no way of knowing who exactly he was) went on an explanation about reservations as if I had never done this before, you know, called ahead to a business and reserved a spot instead of just showing up like the typical customer. I thought that this was a good idea, but I now know that I was wrong. This establishment actually operates on a first-come, as you walk in the door strategy. It works for them, but not so much for me. However, I didn’t allow my annoyance overtake my reasoning. I came here for an oil change. I wanted to leave with an oil change. Now look, once they actually pulled my car into the garage, things went quickly. Professional, quick, and exactly what I wanted. I have no complaint about this element of service. If you don’t mind waiting, then this business will get done what you ask. I suggest you come prepared and plan on being there for a few hours (I actually walked, and wow was it hot). Don’t reserve a spot. Just show up. From start to finish, it took this business two and a half hours to complete an oil change (10:45 – 1:16).

I needed a state inspection and every other location near by didnt have any room for days. Midas took care of me the same day. Excellent service and customer relations. Ill be going back for anything else I need.

Tried to charge me for excessive repairs when I did my state inspection. Went to another locations who passed my car with no repairs. BEWARE!

I came in with a issue that could’ve potentially been really bad, ended up having to come back because of my own negligence but was welcomed back to have it corrected and Midas employees picked up on it right away. They are efficient and quick! Most definitely recommend for not only routine maintenance but all your service needs! Also cannot stress this enough, the shop and waiting area is very clean!! Super impressed for a mechanic shop.

First time visited Midas for state inspection only and then later added oil change service. They did only the oil change and the inspection was not done.No CDC guidelines and when i used the hand sanitizer at the front desk, made fun of it. Will never go to midas for any service. No courtesy and so unprofessional.

I cant say enough about James and his staff ! They did work that just about nobody else wanted to do. I had two exhaust leaks and they took care of them. This is not a job for rookies!The work was done in as fast a manner as possible and I am very satisfied with the repairs. After a 12 hour drive my truck NEVER ran so good! They also got me a good rate on a rental car. I highly recommend Midas on Holland Rd. !!!!!!!

October 16, 2020 - numerous complaints: 1) during COVID-19 none of the employees were wearing masks, including girl at front counter 2) had a definite appt. time which they didnt adhere to 3) brought in a coupon for a conventional oil change for the price of $ 24.95. which I requested before service was started 4) once service was completed they gave me an invoice for $ 68.93. 5) I told them I requested the service which was stated on the coupon 6) they then told me that they didnt want the regular priced oil in stock so I would have to pay for the higher quality oil 7)I requested to speak with the manager who was extremely ugly, at that point I asked for the phone number to the corporate office to file a complaint, which they said they didnt have the number 8) after mentioning that a complaint would be filed they lowered the invoice amount to $ 29.93. The manager at that point said I think it is best that you dont use our services in the future. I was extremely shocked that he told me that. The whole incident was handled very unprofessional, worst customer service I have ever experienced

Hey everyone just want to let you know how great this shop is, I had some bad luck and had a breathalyzer in my vehicle, these guys are spot on dont make you feel bad about it and just take care of any problem you have, I would highly recommend them to anyone, they are the best and do great work and give the best deals, I will make them my car care guys for life.

Guy working there was really rude and unsure if they could do inspection. Asked me if I could wait until Monday for my car. Told him I cant due to having work and rudely told me that I didnt answer the question--when obviously I did. I also asked him what time they closed and he said whenever i feel like closing.Extremely rude and I wouldnt recommend going here to this location.

I had my 2003 Corvette state inspection done at a local car dealership. Itfailed for a leak in the exhaust system and they quoted almost $1600 forthe repair. Decided to stop at Midas and James did an excellent job patiently detailing the issues involved with working under a Corvette andallowed me to see for myself. Ultimately the technician came up with aperfect fix for under $200. James and the staff were knowledgeable,upfront and left me confident enough in them to bring my Silverado truckin for all new shocks the very same day. Great Team!

Over price. They ask me 400 just for the muffler delete compare to other muffler shops less than 200!

Was the worst experience of ny life, and felt threatened and feared for my life, when I asked about tires. I was told to take my state inspection paper and GETOUT. I will never, ever go back to the Holland Road location. The girl at the counter (Falecia) didnt ever get to chance to respond before the manager jumped down our throats.Very Respectfully,Mary

I worked with James on getting my car up and running after it had been sitting for several months. He was very helpful and honest. He walked me through the process and my best options. The team did amazing work. They were quick and efficient, my car runs great and I have no worries. Now a Midas customer for life!

This is my “go to” shop for mufflers. My last muffler lasted 11 years. I went with a performance muffler this time and I can feel the difference in acceleration. The sound is also better compared to a standard muffler. The dual exhaust never sounded better. The muffler is a Thrush.

Customer service is terrible. Overcharged for repairs. Stay Away.

An absolute waste of time and money, and some staff members are openly racist. At first they seemed like they were being cool and awesome for helping you out, but after a while their true colors come out. As I waited for 3hours for then to tell my why my engine light was on, a family came in, and they were blatantly disrespected by James who was very much racist toward them. The guy would not even give them his name as he treated them so poorly before they left. Even though I was offered a free oil change, and $1 for a reinspect that they failed me on -that I had Tread Quarts look at, and fixed the problem with a free reinspect and kind staff - I will not return if I am given undeserved privileges because I am white, and others were mistreated because they were not. Never go here.

Came in for upper ball joints. They had them on and out the door in excellent time. James the service writer is top notch at his job and extremely honest and professional. 2 weeks later one of the ball joints failed due to the control arm. They called a tow truck with no charge to me and got it to the shop and fixed with zero issues. I’ll be bringing all my work trucks here from now on.

James does his best to take care of our fleet. Honest and fair. Truthfully, this is the only shop Ive been to where I havent felt like we were being raked over the coals. It costs money to maintain a car or truck. We know this and have reasonable expectations about our fleet of older vehicles. These guys Dona great job of keeping us on the road while saving us time and money.

James is AMAZING!!!! Came in needed rear brakes called before he said I can get you right in and he is a man of his word! Very thorough checked both my brakes for free to be sure of diagnostic had me in and out in 40min as promised and completely made my day with his charismatic personality! Give him a raise!!! Charged much much more than a quote I got from an out of state Midas, didnt review anything he did, I had to ask if any additional work needed done, didnt take part in tire insurance so I had to call old store to get that fixed, the manager had no social skills and just wanted to try to be the boss of everyone around.

Traveled from out of town and have always used Midas....so gave this store a try. I was so very pleased with the communication and honesty and willingness to go extra mile to save me money! Thank you Thank you!

I went into Midas to get an oil change and the service was beyond terrible! I was expecting to be in and out with no problems however it wasn’t like that . If I could give this place no stars I would . My feelings were very hurt due to the way I was being spoken to and basically insulted and embarrassed at the front desk by the employee in front of other customers . He proceeds to insult me by telling me unnecessary things and just being very unprofessional towards me. When I first walked in I showed him the coupon on my phone and he told me in order to use the coupon it needs to be printed out and I told him ok and I just moved on from that. I didn’t want to waste my time arguing with him about it because it does not mention that in the fine prints on the coupon that it had to be printed which is very misleading for customers . After that he asked me for my keys and wallet then he proceeds to ask me how much money I carry in my wallet which is none of his business. After I handed my key over he told me how my keychains on my key looked like a disaster and took off my key chains to give to me while he takes the key for the vehicle . After that I sat down and waited a little over an hour then he finally calls me up so I can pay for the service. He continue to insult me by telling me “you wouldn’t be able to go a day without your phone would you?” Then when I was about to pay he asked me for a form of I.d which he looked at and compared to the debit card I was about to use to pay. This made me very confused because why do you need to see my I.d? I have never been asked to do this at any other auto shop . I felt like I was being discriminated against because he did not ask anyone else for their I.d when they were paying. I felt like he might’ve asked me based off my last name , skin color , age , gender , or size . Not to mention that wasn’t all that was said to me . // I called the store to mention to a manager about what happen and the person on the phone name James who is a manager I assume because he said he is one of the managers there. He told me that this problem will be addressed however I highly doubt it because of the way the phone call went. The person on the phone did not seem to be concerned about my problems that I encountered in their shop.

Midas team did a great job with installing my air filter, repairing my shocks, replacing a bad ball bearing, and installing my aftermarket Gibson exhaust system. Even when one of the tail pipes fell down due to manufacturer error; the team repaired the issue at no charge. Car is running very well and hopefully I won’t have to bring it back to them anytime soon, but if I do; then I have confidence my vehicle will be fixed in a timely manner and a fair cost.

I took my vehicle in for an oil change, and was very pleased with the service! The whole service was completed in about 45 minutes, and they gave me a run down on some maintenance issues that needed my attention. Fast, courteous, professional service at a fairly good price! Thanks guys!

Service was good. The people are friendly. But I came in to get a bulb replaced. Was quoted 30 minutes of labor. 5 minutes of work later I have a $46 bill to pay. Not sure what to think of that.

The Midas Shop attendance were very courteous and the Service of of vehicle was very fast and affordable! I knew that I could trust any recommendation that the Mechanic made! The store was clean and comfortable and there was no harassment given from any Sales Clerk while my truck was being repaired! The brake repair was very fast. and I was very fortunate that they informed me of the need for brake repairs. That isnt what I brought the car in for and I knew from there professionalism that I could trust what they found! Great work!!

Every time I come to this Midas, the staff are friendly and super helpful. They dont belittle you for not knowing what an issue is and if it was a mistake that you might have made from doing your own maintenance, they are still more than willing to help out and fix any issue! Went there today, desperate, with a nail in my tire. The manager, James (?), got me taken care of right away. The technician who fixed it, was very sweet, very polite, and very fast. Thumbs way up for these guys. I dont live in VA Beach, but if I never need care while there, I will definitely be back.

I brought my car in for a second opinion and they were able to do the diagnostic and complete the repairs, for half the cost of the original place I went, the same day I brought it in and even had time to do my inspection, which I had forgotten was due that month. James was very knowledgeable, kept me in the know about my car and what needed to be done and spoke to me as a person rather than a dumb girl, which is something I’ve experienced at the other shops I’ve been to. There should be an option to give no stars at all a just write a review I’m very disappointed after leaving Midas my spouse and I went to get his car inspected the first time they told him he needed new rotors and brake pads in the back so he fixed that and went back today to get it inspected again now they said he needs a battery hold down and his front passenger tire needs to be replaced and that we could come back today and pay 1$ for the inspection again so we went a fixed those things and were back within an hour when we get there they said they can’t do the inspection today but we could leave the car and they can do it in the morning. I just don’t get why they would say they can do it then can’t even do it. Horrible place never spending money here again!

Im very happy with the experience I had with these guys. They dealt with the other persons insurance on multiple occasions to correct my truck. The handled getting my truck back up and driving faster than I expected. My truck drives better now than before the accident. I would 100% recommend mike and james to anyone for any automotive troubles and requirements. Thanks again guys.

Waited over 2 hours for a state inspection, the person at the counter was unbelievably rude and the inspector failed my car for brakes that were not supposed to be failed. Thank goodness I got another inspection at a more reputable place that can be trusted.

I had my daughter take advantage of the 19.95 oil change. Midas changed the oil and recommended a new tire. She bought the tire and they installed and did a free rotation. One week later she was missing a hub cap on her Jetta. Her attempts to get Midas to own up to the missing hub cap were initially unsuccessful. I had to call the owner, Mike, to discuss the situation. I found him to be reasonable and he agreed to replace the hubcap without making any excuses for his people. As a business owner I understand that things dont always go as planned. I was happy to see Mike cared about the reputation of his company and did the right thing even if it meant loosing money. I will go back and recommend that if you ever have an issue be sure to talk to the owner directly. I believe he is a fair man. Thanks Mike!

Excellent service! The staff is friendly and great at what they do. After several bad experiences at other shops, it has been nice to find somewhere I can feel confident leaving in my truck.

Let me start off by saying I never go to auto shops. I do everything on my cars myself. However, I dont have a tire machine so I have to go to these places for tires. I bought 2 new tires from this midas. I had lost my lug nut key so they charged me 50 bucks per lock lug to remove them AND didnt even have the decency to put matching lug nuts back on. But that wasnt the worst of it. I needed a state inspection too. They told me my car would fail because my pads needed to be replaced. So I took my car and went to do the job myself. Well, you guessed it, the pads were practically brand new!!!!! I have pictures to prove this. Thank goodness i do my own work otherwise these guys might have swindled another couple hundred bucks of labor out of me. Heads up to less mechanically inclined customers, DONT GO HERE!

Took my car to be inspected and alas, it failed :(They did the necessary repairs at a very competitive price and even provided me transportation at drop off and picked me up when it was done! I wish you could give 0 stars. Went in yesterday with an exhaust leak (my mechanic already told me i just need a section of my flex pipe cut out and new piece welded in). Got a quote within 15 minutes, but Midas gave me a story of it being too close to the )2 sensor and they would have to replace the whole piece with the convertor so it would be $650.00. In the parking lot they told us we could buy our own piece and they would put it in.Went and had the work done down the road for 145.00 out in 15 minutes.I will never take my business here again, Its bad that this one location is probably giving Midas a bad name, but I do not tolerate deception and I feel like this location was just out to get my hard earned money... Launching a complaint with their corporate office as well

These guys really hooked me up. I had a wheel speed sensor go bad after work and the manager personally went to go pick one up because he couldnt get it delivered in time. They kept working until about an hour after closing time to get that done and throw on some new pads and rotors. Great guys and Ill definitely be back again.

Tried to severely overcharge me for services when I brought it in to get inspected a while ago. A lot of them were easy fixes, but the ones I couldnt do myself I had done at other shops at a much lower cost than what midas would have charged me.

Pretty standard place. I take mine and my husbands car here for oil changes. Always available, always pretty fast.

For the 1st time in my life I approached Midas at Holland rd, taking my car for state inspection. At 9:30 I parked it in a guest spot, then I left with the idea of being back in the afternoon to pick it up. Afrer a couple of hrs I got a call stating they should change brake shoes and an arm bushing. They also wanted to change air filter, and tune the ignition.Surprised, I refused immediately, even not asking any quote for the repair proposed. This is why I know my car in deep and I personally care it. Last year I replaced brake shows the wanted to change.When back at the shop I noticed the car in the same spot I left. I paid ~20 box then I took the car for a check on what they stated were reasons for rejection.I leave you imaging results. All was in a very good shape!I sense, but I cant prove the did not checked the car, even not moving it from the spot I parked 2 hrs before.They fish for state inspection ignorant customers.Bottom line. Never again to Midas!

Have gone there a few times. They have always been professional and very reasonably priced. More importantly, they work much faster than the other places Ive been too and I greatly value my time. Ive also never had to make an appointment. My wife and I now bring our cars there for whatever we need.

Outrageous quotes, and long wait time. Took my car in to get a quote for my exhaust pipe to have welded back or just secured properly. I had it cut after my resonators. Got quoted $250.00 said he would have to take my entire exhaust system off to get a weld on top. I can get an entire new exhaust system at that price. Lol big als did the same job for $125 previously just wanted my exhaust put back together properly. I guess i should have gone to an actual muffler shop but was running short on time so just took it in real quick and what a waste of time. And also waited 30 minutes to have it looked at and there was only 1 customer before me and about 3 employees hanging out. Just makes me believe they have no clue what they are doing. DO NOT take your car here for exhaust work go to an actual muffler shop. Prices are OUTRAGEOUS!

I dont know where the bad reviews are coming from. I have to believe that some people make it impossible to receive good service. That being said, Ive never had a bad experience there (even when Ive had my moods). I have always gone to them, with every vehicle Ive owned and let me tell you that I am one picky girl, its hard to find a place I trust to take decent care of me, the people at this Midas have gone above and beyond and exceeded my expectations every singe time. So thank you guys for making me feel 100% taken care of. Youll definitely be seeing me again.
