Pharmacist employees rude, not enough help I guess. Very long waits for pickup. Received message prescription ready within the hour or words to effect, finally called next day. Told sorry will be ready SOMETIME today. This happens 75% of the time at least.

I had a simple question about refilling a rx. I waited on hold for almost 15 minutes. Employees would answer phone, state” please hold” and then back to music. Sorry but I can’t believe the store is so busy that no one can answer a phone call after 15 minutesI called another store. I got my answer from pleasant gentleman at Center Rd Walgreens in about 3 minutes. If you won’t answer the phone, get rid of the phone line. I encourage anyone in Venice to use the store at Center Rd and US 41

Impossible to get a prescription filled here on the first try. You have to hold their hand and micromanage them. Constantly calling them back to hound them or it will never get done. The employees that work here are so incompetent. They never pick up the phone. Theyll just answer every 10 minutes or so and say please hold, then if you dont take the hint and leave them alone they just hang up on you.

Its almost impossible to get a pharmacist on the phone. They need to step it up a bit.

Called to inquire if this location had a black Hurry Cane for my mother. Jaclyn was very helpful and not only made sure it was in stock, she took it to the front register where it was waiting for me. When I walked in, I was greeted by Brandy who was very pleasant and personable as she checked me out.These two are assets to your company. Great work, ladies!

Honestly I have been there several ti.es this week and they always had the three windows in the pharmacy filled with employees. My Walgreens at home has 1 and these workers in Venice are very polite.

Their pharmacy is by far the worst that Ive ever used. Impossible to reach by phone...and if I could get this prescription filled anywhere else Id never go to this store again.

Poor service. Must be micromanaged to receive prescription in a reasonable time frame. Too busy for the staff to handle customers efficiently. I’ll never use again.

We have been going to this Walgreens for over 4 years. Majority of the time it is to pick up prescriptions. The staff is always friendly & courteous even when they are super busy. If I ever need help locating anything Im either walked to the item on the shelf or they tell me which aisle and shelf the item can be found. Yes sometimes we have to wait longer than expected for a prescription to be ready but the pharmacy staff always does a great job especially with the volume of prescriptions this store has on a regular basis.

The pharmacy clerks and the pharmacist had no interest in helping me get a refill of a common asthma medication that my 15 month old son needed ASAP. They could not care less. It took me two trips to the counter, a call to their pharmacy and a call to our own pharmacy and a last minute confrontation 5 minutes before they closed before they filled a $21 out of pocket script that kept us out of the emergency room. I would never have imagined the level of laziness, incompetence and lack of empathy from people who are supposed to provide medicine to sick people. Purely disgusted by the whole experience. Time to clean house.

Photo lab color quality is poor and calendar pages have gotten thinner. Will not use this location anymore for photos. This other location has better color and uses thicker materials. 1120 Tamiami Trl N in Nokomis.

Honestly on scared to write review because I know the pharmacist can deny my prescription for any reason but honestly please get more employees you guys are extremely understaffed every time I go there its a hassle if you even have my medicine in stock tonight was an absolute disaster I had to wait for hours for my medicine and when I got there they told me that they had lost my prescription Im not going to go into further detail because Im scared of them not feeling for me in the future but this Walgreens needs a lot of help Ill just leave it at that and I understand that they are busy but customers / patients should be treated with respect at all times regardless of the medication that they are picking up and not look down upon they simply are supposed to take orders from doctors put your medicine in the bag and give it to you it shouldnt be a huge issue every time again Walgreens please do not deny me my prescriptions in the future because of this post but I am extremely disappointed with the customer service with the wait time and with the confusion Im leaving the country tomorrow and thank God they got it figured out 5 hours after I drop the prescription also money gram never worked turn off sign or fix plz

I’m new with Walgreens. I switched to them with a new insurance plan. The pharmacy is overwhelmed with all the business (as this area of Florida is in overload in the winter with all the snowbirds and tourists) but they were probably the nicest, most efficient of all the pharmacies I’ve dealt with here. The thing I like the best is that they reorder your prescriptions automatically...no calling to refill!! Before you run out of your prescription, you get a call or text to let you know that they’re ready. So hassle free!The other employees in the store seemed very nice and helpful as well. I read many bad reviews here and if I ever notice any issues to change my review, I’ll update this.

We had left our kids antibiotics in Tampa. This Venice Walgreens was able to pull the Tampa Walgreens prescription and give us a two day supply. Plus they didnt even charge for it!!!

Run around after run around. Each person spoken to had a different answer. We will never use them again. Very inconvenient . Mother in law refuses to use them after on 2 different occasions she was given someone elses medication. If i provided this quality of service id be out of business.. If you do use them be careful and pay attention. You can die because of the incompetence.

This Walgreens pharmacy is very busy. I find things there that a pharmacy does not usuallysupply . I have found the pharmacists to be very polite, kind and considerate in person and on the phone.

I use this location as my primary due to convenience.

Switched from cvs to walgreens first prescription was for an anti depressant went home was short 2 pills . what kind of control do they have according to federal regs. 2nd prescription was for anti depressant and they were going to charge me $94 asked why and researched with insurance co. and was told anything over 30 pills was an extra charge so the true prescription was for 30 pills $47 and they added 3 more which increased the price to $94. how can there be mistakes liked this in a controlled environment!! the excuse was the computer did it and the machine didnt count correctly their explanations for both orders. Watch your money and count your pills .

Pharmacy needs help, way to busy for the limited amount of staff for this location. Also Venice NEEDS a 24-hour pharmacy, the next closest one is at least 30 mins away.

Has a good selection of items that are needed by everyone. Staff is friendly!

Pharmacy does not have enough employees and it is very slow. They dont have time to get to orders from the doctors office and fill them.

This location has a wide selection and the pharmacy department is pretty fast
