A really cool place to stop if your looking for a good book to read. They really do have a lil bit of everything. I even seen a book from the 1700’s so that was really cool. Definitely a place I’ll come back to buy an old book!

Great book store.also other neatItems from around the world.Very helpful staff!.when allowed they had guest authors.I go there almost every week!it is also next to a great thrift store,Thirty and nifty.

This place is amazing! Books were stacked as high as the ceiling... And the bookshelves twisted & turned... You could really get lost in here. It was so much bigger than you would think just from looking at it from the outside. And the selection was perfectly balanced. They definitely have something for everyone...I cant believe Ive worked next door to here for the last 2 years (at Papa Murphys) and Ive never been in here until now! Ill definitely be coming back here soon!

I ordered a book online from Vintage Books recently through a third party website. They refunded me a portion of the shipping fee, which was unexpected but appreciated. They sent me my book in the most well-packed package I have ever received for any product. Ever. From this online purchase, my impression is that Vintage Books takes pride in their business and truly values their customers.

Absolutely fabulous book store! Like the kind I grew up with, the kind that are unfortunately far too rare. Friendly & knowledge staff. Hopefully, they can go back to pre-pandemic hours soon.

This book store is HUGE inside. From the outside it doesnt look like it could be so big, but it just kept going and going. Great selection of all of the current popular books, great kids book section, and so many nooks and crannies full of books waiting to be discovered! Great prices, great service - definitely check them out.

Seems like they have a great variety of books but due to the fact that I had two kids I wasn’t able to go in. How do you explain that to the kids??? “We can’t go in because of you.” Personal were not nice or sorry for the fact but did offer curbside shopping. Will not go back since families are not welcomed.

Went into the store with the idea that I may try to sell some books or trade for some of theirs. Browsed the store and the selection is pretty nice....the counter person however was deeply ensconced in reexamination of books and have an air of dont bug me store is good clerk#cranky librarian was not good.

Went shopping for cool stocking stuffers, and Vintage didnt disappoint. Besides having great used book selection, their selection of miscellaneous doo dads is awesome. Its like having our own Powells Books in our neighborhood.

Locked the door. Only let you in when you knock. VERY limited on who can come in at a time. LOVE it! Oh and hand Sanitizer was given before coming in.

They didnt have what I wanted today, but they have a steady turnover, and usually have what I look for. Staff is knowledgeable and knows where everything is - when they have it.

Huge selection of used books. Every topic, every genre. Fiction, non-fiction, self help, math, science, diet, cook, whatever youre looking for. If they dont have it, they will special order it for you. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Stop by and see for yourself. This place is great. Take the kids, theyll love it.

It’s like walking into a magical book land. Easy to get lost in the rows and rows of books. I feel like I found something new with every aisle I went down. Every corner brought me to something I didn’t even know existed. You just wanted to grab a book and sit down to read.

Ive been in twice now to Vintage Books and both times were impersonal. You almost feel intimidated to ask for help because you already know theyre response is going to be cold and uncaring. I know that we live in distance times, but it doesnt mean you have to be that way under a mask and while owning a business. I like VB but their customer service skills need some work. Ill go back when I need books, but I wont recommend to friends and family until their customer service has improved.

We have so many memories of Vintage Books & love we can usually find anything we are looking for right there on the shelf. It was the 1st stop most recently for a collection of local authors.

This is an outstanding little bookstore. A great place to get lost for an hour or two, leave with a few books and not break the bank. Chairs are around almost every corner. And the true mark of a great bookstore, a friendly cat resides there too.

There are fewer and fewer of these old books stores in existence. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The selection is excellent. They have old and new books for sale and great buy-back benefits. An excellent bookstore.

I shop in used bookstores wherever I travel so have a great deal of comparison knowledge. This store is much larger then it looks from the outside. Great selection and well organized. I could have seen myself buying many books here but not when they are 3 times what I normally pay for books, both hardcover and paperback. If even be willing to pay half what they want for the paperbacks. But just too expensive here.

I love this place, but I only come when I know I have more than an hour of spare time. So much to look at and a couple of sweet kitties to help you search for good books. Dickens the Cat is my favorite. I come here for older recipe books. I recently found a book about foraging and cooking with flowers from the 1930s.

This cozy store is a rare gem. Easily look online or call ahead if youre looking for a specific book but honestly, its a refreshing experience just to wander around and browse. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem of the Couve, big enough for real browsing, books in good shape for good prices, and some small-press surprises in the poetry section. They are taking Covid precautions--doors locked to limit number of people in store, masks and sanitizer required.

Decent place with very reasonable prices. A recent discovery, though I did walk away with a few older books. If its not on the shelves and is older, ask the booksellers there. There are more in the back. This is one of those stores that makes me feel like Im in the Weasleys burrow. The bookshelves seems like they sprouted up where needed, and are rickety (though theres no sense that theyre about to collapse, so dont worry about that) which makes it kinda of cool to wander through. I found older books, which are my jam, in various little places around the shop. Ive only been there a few times so far, all in the past week and a half, and so dont know what their turnover rate is yet. In the next couple months, I plan to go back a few more times and check, and will update this review if I decide its worth the fifth star. Its still definitely worth checking out.

Way over priced, go to Powells better price and a friendly staff

One of my absolute favorite places in the world. I could (and have) spent hours in here, hiding out from the world. The people who work here are incredibly nice and helpful. I am a forever customer!

I visited this place today as a recon mission before bringing my daughter. I wanted to find a place where she could go and try out a few books before buying them. Books are so expensive these days so why not get used? Prices here were okay, $4 to $5 for some books that I would have liked. I did enjoy how large the shop was and that there was a sitting area for customers. My only recommendation would be to modernize the look a little.

Support your local bookstore! This place is local as it gets. Great place to find used literary gems, vintage magazines and delightful book themed knickknacks. New books are available and theyre happy to take orders for hard-to-find items. Vintage Books offers a good selection of books for all ages. On occasion there are book signing events or other gatherings with authors.Store has the requisite bookstore cat.Location tip:Its tucked away in a corner of this funky strip mall so look for it. Safeway is the biggest thing in the strip mall.

Wonderful not-so-little bookshop. Be prepared to spend some time browsing the jam-packed shelves. Lots of vintage books at great prices. The owners are very friendly too and they have a pet cat who likes to hang out here. Good selection for all genres.

I love this store and am so thankful we have it here in Vancouver! It kind of reminds me of Powell’s but is much less overwhelming for me. The staff have all been very kind, knowledgeable, and very helpful! I always find what I am looking for here

Not friendly, barking at my children about masks. Disappointed because their selection is good.

They have a wide selection, but their prices are ridiculously high and their trade policy is a joke. Brought 2 boxes of books in for trade (was the only way I could afford to purchase there). They sorted through both boxes found some they could resell, have the rest back. Their trade policy is theyll give you a store credit for 50% of what theyll be able to sell the book for, but in order to use your credit, you have to spend twice that amount. I received a little over $20 in trade in credit, but I had to spend over $40 in order to use it. Complete sham. Will continue to cross the river to Powells and give my business to them. Better selection, better prices and a much better return policy. I wont be back.

Love my local bookshop. Great selection, although I always want a bigger horror section. Its a classical used book store, the kind of hangout for droll men and women in sweater vests.

I love this place! They have so many books and two children/teen sections! They not only have used books but new books too. You can meet authors here too, as they have a author meet up every so often. If they do not have a book you want, they will order it, and it will be there in the next week or so.

Nice to walk in to an actual Book Store so I can flip the pages of a book before I buy it. They also have a lot of cool eclectic items such as prints of old pictures, soap, hand bags etc. Good place to buy a unique gift for someone.

Do not sell your books here! You are better off making a drive to Powells bookstore in Portland. Books are slightly overpriced. Came in and sold some books for store credit(around 13$ dollars). Found a book(priced 8$) so I wanted to apply my credit to the book, however they only deduct half(policy)so you end up paying the other half in cash. At Powells you can apply the entire credit. Just to save you guys time, you are better off selling your books at Powells (they pay a bit more as well).

So many books!! A little pricy for what Id expect for used books but otherwise a great place. In fact its the only bookstore where Ive seen an entire section of paranormal romance books (two entire bookcases worth). Ive found quite a variety of interesting reads here for myself, and whenever I go to look for a gift for someone, I always find something great. Also, there are cats.

My son has recently become very interested in old books. I finished a book in a series and was feeling impatient to read the next book, so we went to explore this place we had never been. We were happily surprised. It seemed every turn had a treasure and the store was bigger than expected. I found the book I wanted at a fair price and my son found a book old enough to satisfy him and inexpensive enough that it was within our budget. If he continues his interest Im sure we will become regulars.

The kitty cat that lazily greets you, the staff that quietly smiles and nods as you come in, the smell of new and old prints is exhilarating and the choices, depending on subject, are fantastic. I love going to this store! I could spend hours and hours in here- but be forewarned of NO public restroom, so your best bet is the Safeway in the same lot if you gotta go. Theyve got old, rustic chairs you can sit and browse through a treasure youre thinking about buying and an array of various things to check out while your there as well like the old comic books, the car and motorcycle books and magazines- owners manuals as well! Psychology interest you? Theyve got a plethora of college texts and periodicals and various other medical books available also. They have fiction writings and non fiction writings and rare finds galore. Travel books and dog books and.... well, you get the idea.. go in and see yourself!

The old fashioned used bookstore of legend. Ive found everything from how to sew my own tent, to autographed scifi. Oh, and a wall of ancient auto manuals and a cat. And yes, they take trade-ins.

This is now my favorite bookstore! The place is much bigger on the inside than it appears from the street. I was able to find two books that I had been looking for for years. They have been in business for 45 years so they know a thing or two about books.

This is our friendly local bookstore. Although Ive learned not to go in expecting to find a specific book, I can always find plenty of books in my range of interests. If you are set on something specific that isnt there, they will order it for you.
