The rear hatch latch broke on my Toyota Sequoia. The technician discovered a problem with the entire assembly. He replaced the entire system and now it works perfectly! The service is excellent and all the technicians are very knowledgeable, courteous and thorough. Also very reasonable pricing. 👍

These guys are great- honest and knowledgeable. Id strongly recommend them. I had a hose on my radiator bust off that let coolant and eventually transmission fluid out all over the place. Transmission started slipping but luckily I pulled right over and got it towed to these guys. They were able to quickly diagnose and were really straight forward about how long it would take. Of course this stuff never happens at a convenient time, but they were great to work with and got me back on the road in just a few days.

If you are looking for a place to take your car where they will do fantastic work, this is the place...l have no idea if it is over priced as everyone has a number in their head but l never feel like its ridiculous and l dont mind paying when l trust the person working on and fixing my main transportation to work to get by on this earth. Ive been coming here over 5yrs, employees are reliable and my cars are fixed. I have told several people to ck out and they like it as well. To each their own, thats my 2 cents and we all hate reviews and taking time to do anything right,?

Just dropped off my daughter’s SUV. I found them through yelp. Message them through yelp and they were the ones that gave me the best quote/rate for the repair I needed for the SUV.I met two of their technicians and so far they have good people skills.I Will update if things changes and/or the quality of their work is not up to par.

Wrench Works is an alright auto shop - the folks are great, the work is good, but the limitations as to the work they do (or dont do) is a little confusing/unimpressive.They keep things honest, and will re-address issues that come back after they attempted a fix, free of charge. Every so often though, we get turned away because they dont do certain services. So far Ive learned they dont do air conditioning (which is standard work for most mechanics), and they dont work on 250-2500 (or higher) trucks. Its hard to build a relationship with them as a customer since they are fairly particular about the services they offer, and the vehicles they service. Ultimately, Ive opted to take my service elsewhere to a better equipped facility.

Ive been here a few times. The first was when my check engine light was on. They did a free 5 minute diagnostic on the computer and were able to tell me what was wrong. The toyota dealership wanted to charge $300. Ive also been for oil changes and general car maintenance. They remember my car when I called and are very friendly. The price isnt so bad for the work they do.

Someone recommended that I try Wrench Works because I had been experiencing a soft clutch pedal issue on my 93 Jeep. I live in Vallejo but I was told it would be worth the drive to Vacaville. I called and made an appointment and so on April 11, I left my Jeep with the shop. The next day I received a phone call informing me that my Jeep required a new Slave Clutch Cylinder. I agreed with the cost of $831 with a 2 year labor and 1 year parts warranty. So I instructed the mechanic to proceed with the repairs. A week later I went to get my Jeep. Riding back home to Vallejo, I noticed the clutch felt no different than my initial visit to the shop. I phoned the mechanic to voice my concern and he instructed me to return the Jeep back to the shop…so I did. One week had past and I had not received any word on the status of my Jeep. I phoned and was informed that the Jeep was ready. I drove the Jeep back home but again the clutch pedal was still not fixed. In fact, while going through American Canyon, I had to pull over to the side of the freeway due to the clutch temporarily not dis-engaging to change gears. When I got home, I phoned the shop and told them I was going to bring the Jeep back. On July 14, I embarked on a trip back to Vacaville to drop the Jeep off. While driving on Highway 80 and coming out of American Canyon, the clutch pedal dropped to the floor. This impeded my ability to shift gears. Luckily I was able to coast to the shoulder of the freeway without any incident. I phoned the shop on my cell phone and informed them about my current situation. I then called AAA for towing but had to wait 1.5 hours in the sun for AAA’s arrival. AAA arrived and took the Jeep up to the shop while I received a ride with a friend who brought me back home. 1 week passed without any word from the shop. I phoned and then was informed that the Jeep was ready and the Master cylinder had been replaced at no extra charge. I received my Jeep and proceeded to drive home and not surprisingly the pedal returned to its original feel of being too soft.I told my Jeep friends about the situation and they shook their heads in disbelief. Two of them got together and decided to help me tear out the current Master/Slave clutch cylinder out of the transmission and replace it with a better design. After tearing it out, my friends noticed that the inside of the slave cylinder was wet. This was an indicator of a faulty part. I took the Master/Slave cylinder back up to Wrench Works to let them see it. I asked for the manager and went outside to wait for him but to my surprise the mechanic who work on my Jeep came outside instead. I displayed the faulty part and told him the Jeep has never been fixed. I explained the continued issue and informed him that my friends are in the process of fixing the issue ourselves. He informed me that since the work had been done on the jeep by me, this would void the warranty. I told him I was aware of that and I decided to fix the problem myself due to the shop’s inability to fix the issue after three tries. The mechanic then asked why I would I let someone who is not certified work on my vehicle? I said because you guys were never able to fix it. The mechanic then asked me “so what do you want us to do about it?” I told him that it is up to the owner of the shop. He responded and said that he would phone me after he talks to his boss who is the owner. It’s been 1 week now and I have heard nothing from them. Guess I’m out of $831.I took my Jeep into the shop and paid $831 to have the soft pedal issue resolved but nothing was fixed. I took it upon myself to fix the problem because it appeared that Wrench Works was unable to do so. In addition to the $831, I had to spend another $300 to buy the parts for the clutch conversation kit that my friends are helping me install. I’m retired now and this will cause a financial hardship for me.

Perfect customer service combined with exceptional knowledge and skill. I had engine trouble on my Ford F-150 which I couldnt fix or diagnose on my own. After I told them the spark plugs had been changed recently by the previous owner, they ruled that out and chased down several other potential causes knowing the spark plugs would be an expensive job on the F-150. After trying all 8 coils, they finally came back to the spark plugs, which turned out to be the cause of the engine misfiring. Not only was I charged a reasonable price for having an engine problem that required him to work all weekend, he left the coils in free of charge, and added air to the tires since they were low. These guys go above and beyond for their customers. After losing faith in other shops and even dealerships for their work and service, I think every city in America needs a Wrench Works with guys like the ones in Vacaville.
