Old car was making some noises. Took it in, now it doesnt. Got a military discount. Was fixed less than 24 hours of bringing it in. The front desk was pleasant. Good spot, Ill be back.

At shop when they opened. Explained problem with my vehicle. Lady said she would talk to someone and call me. Never called. When I called at end of day she was annoyed. She talked to someone while I was on hold and came back with a solution to an issue I did not have. I said thank you and went to the dealer. She should have talked to the someone while I was there. I would have got the correct information and saved everyone wasted time and they might have gained a return customer.

The most friendliest place you could take your car to. They are very knowledgeable and are straight forward with what needs to be done to fix your issues. I was referred to Jim Hansen automotive by another auto repair facility that had found a leak in the evaporative emission control system (EVAP) of my 2018 Ford Escape Hybrid. Jim was able to locate the leak and replace the fuel filter assembly in less than 24 hours. Jim and his wife Joan are very pleasant people to work with. I am very pleased with their work and will be back.

First about me. I worked for the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) for 24 years. Most of my time with the BAR was in enforcement, regulating repair facilities. I have taken out several bad repair shops out in Northern California for fraud using undercover runs. I am an ASC certified Master Technician and hold a Brake, lamp, and Smog License, plus other certifications. I am now retired and can say Hansens is a great repair facility. In all of Solano County I have chosen Hansens for my and my familys repair work. They are not the cheapest, but they are honest and fair. If there is a problem they will stand behind their work.

I have been taking my vehicles to Jim Hansen for maintenance for over 25 years and I have always received excellent service. Even when I bought my new Edge, the first maintenance was done by Jim. I wont go anywhere else.

My fault for not asking if I was going to get bent over backwards because i drove in for service in my 2005 Land Rover LR3, that has ohhhh 133,000 miles on it.. So my wife was visiting her mom at Kaiser Vacaville , and I asked her to take the car in for a required smog check, and oil change.. .Well, there is a reason I change the oil normally myself and this is why.. They charged $64.17 just for the nothing special castrol gtx oil... and $12.19 for a filter. luckily that only charged $7.75 for labor... Had I known that I was going to pay over $80.00 for a simple oil change, I would have just had them do the smog, I feel they took advantage of my wife, my truck never has needed more then 5.5 qts of oil during a change, and they charged my for 9 qts... I am pretty upset.. Again, I take responsibility for not asking them if they charge dealership prices for an oil change, at least Niello Landrover will wash the inside and outside of the car....
