Went in to buy 8 religious candles, the cashier didn’t feel like it was her job to wrap them so they wouldn’t break on the out. So, I paid and decided to wrap them up myself because as I picked them up they started to bang around. I stepped to another aisle and wrapped them up individually and double bagged them. As I was exiting the cashier yelled across 4 aisles “Thank you for taking all my bags”I then turned around walked up to her and told her “ someone had to do your job. And walked away looking for the manager , which just happened to be by the exit and witnessed the whole situation, I asked are you the manager? She didn’t acknowledge it, she just turned and ignored me. I asked her again “ are you the manager and are you ok with the way the cashier treats the customers” she said “ bye have a good day, 99 cent store at Valencia and midvale must be desperate to hire very unprofessional people. With that kind of professionalism and courtesy I definitely won’t be going back. I will also let everyone I know about the incident. I guess it’s expected from minimum wage help

Well I only need to get a couple small items and it was like 6 minutes until they closed and they wouldnt let me in to get too small items and told me that they had to hurry up and get their help out of there so they could go home... the customer really does not matter to them so if you want good customer service dont go there

Theres something new and exciting every time I go, from fruits to a lunch bag, they have it all, if youre on the budget it is definitely worth it to stop by and see what works for you, most people do not know they also sell fruits and vegetables, I man these are item that you have to consume within one week but if youre like me a pack of blackberries lasts no longer than 1 day in my fridge

I loved this place, everything WAS .99$.Today after a short spree, more so than not things werent .99$ but, $4.99, $5.99 and so on.Its no longer any fun.Ive found the Dollar Tree and though they dont sell fresh produce, the have similar merchandise and, its only $1.00.Please bring back the .99$ ONLY store!(Isnt that false advertising?)

Nice grocery store, a lot of canned goods for little $, Im not so crazy about their frozen food section, the items are so tiny, but overall, its a pretty good place to buy food on a shoestring budget.

Excellent service by a young man I didnt get the name of. He assisted me with finding a compartment box to- store- small items that easily get lost. He went above and beyond. The store felt as if it were a large Grocery Chain in scale but felt comfortable and welcoming due to the customer service.Also, as with most stores of this industry every where you look is festive and tempts a customer to search a little further down each isle trying to keep a mental list of all the useful items you wish you had when you needed it. This store gets my review because of the generous effort and welcoming atmosphere I felt with customers and employees.A rare experience these days but welcomed.Unfortunately as with most retail stores there is hardly enough cashiers at end of day so the wait can be grinding. To keep perspective honest I visited an hour before closing and like lemmings most of the customers migrated soon after the other. I didnt lose my appreciation for the experience because the cashier was a woman that was all business, kept conversation short and sweet have a good evening. Thanks for reaching the end. This place is Great! Always clean and organized. Employees are always friendly and helpful. I just started shopping here for my produce (they are always fresh, not bad for a dollar store), and its cheaper than most grocery stores. I have saved money! Which is big plus, there many items from dollar tree, which I will stick to going to for cleaning supplies. Canned foods I go to Frys for. Overall, I recommend it to anyone on a budget, you will definitely save here. 😊

I absolutely love shopping here! They have so many different products to offer. The store has always appeared to be clean. It is always busy but I expect it and have never waited in line at checkout for more than 10 mins.The only thing I have to say I’m disappointed with is that not all the items have prices on them. I do know that not everything is .99 cents. I think it would be better if they could put the prices on everything since not everything is .99 cents.Other than that it’s awesome!

Nice big store, clean and well arranged. Some things are priced slightly higher, but are still a good price for the type of merchandise presented. They also have fresh fruit and vegetables which are well priced, appear to be very fresh and theres a nice selection.

Love this store, theres always something cute and new you can find at a very nice price! Quality of items I have bought here is pretty good for the prices. There is a bit of everything from produce to car stuff, the problem is keeping yourself from buying too much! Staff is usually pretty friendly, the lines can get long but not extremely bad keeping in mind most people buy a lot at a time!

This store is surprisingly wonderful. I went in expecting unsold junk only fit for kids parties. However they have great deals on produce if youre willing to look through the batch for good quality pieces. They also sell dishes, storage items, and good quality seasonal decorations. They often have the exact same items that youll find in other stores for less than half the price. The store is clean and the staff are friendly. And best of all, almost everything really is $0.99!

Since the reset about a year ago, the store has been kept better organized.As their ad says, You never know what you will find at 99 cents. I find items that the uniqueness is what I need, but I will never find it at a large department store.

Great plase do shop really clean and professional Id like to make a suggestion to all the big bosses in the future I used to free stuff on computer the times we all know who is people that were egotistical when is the corporate office hires a manager that literally refuses to talk to employees or employees or customers only the new managers that have worked at that store I was having a really hard time getting my W-2s but by the way side note its against the law not to get some of your paper notes of your W-2s or future reference I was told to come into her store store manager to help me get a copy of my W2 to a kiosk are they out she told me shes really in front of her she said that I could talk to him for you. You can find practically a little of whatever you need. My Mother and I love to shop there for every holiday decor they have a really cool good large variety making so its awesome. Cashiers are always really nice.

Im a repeat customer. I always find more than I need. Lines are usually long and not very often are all the registers open. Usually only a couple sometimes three. I am glad I live close by I go there for everything at the last minute & parking is no hassle.

Its well stocked store and the manager is very nice. However the young girl at the cash register was very rude and seemed like she was mad. She just threw all the items mixed up into the bags including cans with loaves of bread and proceeded to make an ugly face when I asked for another bag to put the bread in. The price is so right there I love it. Most everything is $0.99 like 2 L Pepsi whereas in other stores its a dollar fifty six or more. Just cant beat their prices and the place is usually packed

Kinda messy here but its the 99 cents in the south side so what can we expect. As far as product they have a wide variety of merchandise, pretty much whatever you need as long as quality doesnt matter too much.

They always have what I need for what it is. I enjoy shopping here but at times you have to wait in line due to alot of people. Other then that its a good place.

Sherry the manger and staff were extremely on the ball to protect us the customers during closing. A female and male drug addicts were very violent and confrontational because they entered late to be able to shoplift. Boyfreind left premises with items and left the meth head girlfriend as a decoy to physically and verbally threaten staff and customers. Refusing to leave. Didnt work. Your staff arent pushovers!!! Nor am I or my collegue. We offered to leave Witness documentation from our observation. Female was threatening bodily injury etc. Said she would be back???? They always loiter near your store. Begging etc. I love your store!!!! Thank you all !!!!!

The customer service in this store is awful. The employees have an arrogant attitude. The Store Manager Vicky SantaCruz is the first one to talk about the customers in their faces with no shame or respect. My family and I had an incident yeaterday at the store. A box of boards fell off the stand and the manager indicated that fell off because my daughter was playing there. My daughter (1year old) and I were standing shopping away from the box. Then this lady (the manager) when to a group of employees to talk about me and my daughter knowing that I was just behind her. When I asked what she was saying she turned around to look at me and with a very arrogant disrespectful manner responded that she was not talking to me. I told her that I needed to talk to her supervisor because that was not the way she refers to the customers and again with an arrogant attitude and a sarcastic smile in her face she responded: “I am the manager”.The are many stores around the city were my family and I can shop. We definately are not going back to this store and we are not recommending the store to friends as well.
