The employees are cool and the vibes are good but twice now they havent used my account rewards when I bought something and then lied to my face saying I didnt have any when I had my accounts $5 reward pulled up on my phone. I dont even care much about the $5 I just hate being lied to. It was the same employee both times too.

I recommend getting your services done by Trenique. She always takes her time & leaves me satisfied everytime. I promise you wont be disappointed. Just have to book ahead, which I dont mind.

Much better lit than it used to be, (thats a downside) and though it still has sarcastic shirts and sketchy hair dye, so does everywhere else in the mall. Now its basically a Spencers for non sex offenders.

Great selection great staff. Friendly and helpful. I visited yesterday to look for Naruto items for my sons and when I asked a young man for help he was helpful and absolutely adorable. Brown hair. They are extremely helpful and affable at the Hot Topic in Franklin Park Mall. They have so many cool things in this store but I mainly go there to get my fingernail polish. Its BOGO pretty much all the time and they have the coolest colors! They are all in skull bottles, why I dont know and I really dont care. The polish there is awesome and it lasts longer than many higher priced polishes that I buy.This store is worth you dropping into anytime youre at the mall. You can actually find some cool things that are not super expensive. Great place to pick up novelty items and cool tshirts. Kinda like Spencers back in the day but more up to date.

Love Hot Topic! Really cool /kitchy merchandise, awesome staff! WAY too small though. I am an average sized woman (57, 145 lbs.) and the isles are so narrow I couldnt walk through without bumping into/brushing against stuff. And if its crowded you can forget about getting through the store without being stuck standing around waiting for people to move out of the way because even one average sized person cant fit through the isles without touching stuff, there is NO WAY for more than one person to be in the same isle at once. As much as I LOVE this store I have skipped going into it quite a few times because of the lack room. And its not just this location, its every single one Ive ever been too.

My boyfriend and I arrived at the hot topic in franklin park mall 15 minutes before closing and got turned away by them shutting the gates as we walked up.Then we saw them let another lady in but when we approached they said they just accepted their last customer even though they were scheduled to stay open until 7pm. So why did we get refused service? This is the 2nd time this has happened. The previous week the gate was shut and they were closed at around 5pm. Why post hours and set hours if the employees wont abide by times set?

I preferred this retail shop in the past for being at the forefront in edgy and gothic-style clothing, as well as some novel items. Currently, the prices range on the high end and the shop now favors Disney-inspired apparel. Hot Topic has truly changed their appeal in the last decade.

They were so helpful and very friendly.

Store is very tiny and compacted, they dont carry hardly anything that is online including plus sizes which if you order online is a very complicated process to deal with then having to send item back for proper size having no way to try the brand to see how they fit. Prices are not the same in store as online. We went there few weeks back had 120 in hot cash to spend and the cashier told us that we were able to use it on sale items and it wouldnt affect our discount and said it could be applied with it etc only to find out after leaving when they already were closed and was last day to use hot cash that it took off 30 and 60 percent off deal and instead applied hot cash so we basically got it for same price we would have had we not used the hot cash. Had we known this I would of bought something like a bedding set or something worthwhile to use it on instead of it basically giving me stuff for prices it would of been had I not had the coupon

This store has been a godsend since I was 13. I got probably 90% of my clothes from this store. Although I kinda stopped going in these last few years I find myself their more often.

Friendly staff. The sign on the plushies was misleading. It said items were a $1 but written really tiny was Buy 1 get 2nd for $1 Ended up paying $12 for 2 plushies. I wouldnt have gotten them had I known that.

I like the vibe of the place and how you can find things you wouldnt expect to find at the mall. The people do ask you if you need anything if youre lost and they inform you of the new sales as you walk in.

Would give 5 stars taking one away because ordering online is a order at your own risk deal.Have had two orders process for over a week then get cancelled. The second time was xmas gifts that wont be here now. Was given a gift card wich lessens the blow and is appreciated but would wrather get what i pay for in a timely manner. Actual store at the mall is small but very organized and tended to by great staff.
