Two outstandin experiences , 1st after local Subaru dealer diagnosis I questioned their recommendation and went to Tire World which do my Oil Changes and recent new Tire purchase. They reccomended replacing the rear differential. Followed thru and they solved the issue. Last week pulled in when check engine light illuminated. They reported possible catalytic converter issue but reset and said lets see if it repeats the error. One week of driving and no error report.

Customer service is horrible . I walked in the shop and the lady was extremely rude barely acknowledge me . Had an attitude like she just didn’t want to be bothered . If I’m going to spend money somewhere, the least they can do is appreciate the customer. I took my car elsewhere.

Great service for average needs. I went in to patch up a slow leak on a Thursday (which I discovered is Ladies Day -- 10% off!) around 12-1 and there were several people before me, so the wait was about 20 minutes, but my service took only 10 minutes. My mechanic, Jose, provided some helpful information to me as well as did a minor repair that may have cost an arm at a leg at a body shop. (NOTE: this is not a body shop, but he went out of his way to do this minor fix out of the kindness of his heart). The patch was only $20 and there is an option to add a cash tip to a credit or debit charge. Great prices and fast, friendly service. I will be going back for any tire-related work!

Need to have our chevy Equinox checked over for a long road trip back to Ohio. Had some shimming going on, they diagnosed the issue and I had the repairs completed. Talk about a life saver. My daughter and I were on our way for her to take her driving test. She pulled out of school from a steep incline and her car’s bottom plate hit the bottom becoming loose dragging. I started looking up shops on the way to her test and found Tire World. I told them my dilemma and her appointment was in 20 minutes. They came through in a big way took her car immediately fixed it in less then 10 minutes. I went inside to pay and they told me no charge. I couldn’t thank them enough. Taking the time and understanding doing a small favor like that I’m now going to be a returning customer. I can’t thank them enough and recommend. Those small acts of kindness go along way. Thank you Tire World 😁 and btw my daughter passed her driving test.

Tire World on Hillsborough is wonderful. They took very good care of me when I had a 1997 Geo Prizm and will tell you everything needed with the price upfront, and they always fix it right. Also, The tires I bought there may have been like $20 more, but their tires are better quality and lasted well beyond two years longer! The vehicle I have now is mostly under warranty from the dealership however if its anything the dealership wont cover I def will run right back to Tire World because they are Great! Tire World is literally the only place that didnt try to rip me off. Definitely highly recommend Tire World on Hillsborough!

Patty, Ken and Jose were great. You call request your tires and then they call you back when they have them in. Price is better than any other tire spot I found and they do it fast. Goodyear says 2.5 hours for 4 tires. Tire world did not need no 2.5 hours. So worth the drive to Tampa. If you want better tire options and dont want pay an extra 200 to 300 for no reason check them out. Got new wipers too.

Recently purchased a new set of tires for my 1998 Subaru Legacy Outback with 256,000 miles at Tire World. After install I noticed a strange noise, took it to the Subaru dealer who reccomended replacement of struts and shocks. That made no sense to me as they were 2 years old. Took it back for 2nd opinion at Tire World. They isolated the noise to the rear differential. They found a used one, but it was no better. Found a second user which corrected the problem. I believe when you are in difficult areas, replace other parts. So a Spindle bearing, cv shaft and wheel bearing were added as I didnt want to come back down the road. The first new wheel bearing was defective, so they asked for more time. The second was great. The noise is gone and sitting in traffic no longer has vibration or noise. First class work. Fair prices and persistence until perfect.

Not once, but twice in as many weeks, they proved they are far more concerned about honesty and building relationships than they are about making a quick buck. Rather disappointed (to say the very least) about the service I received. The know it all dont know how to explain the ins and outs of mechanical work. If you so decide to choose Tire World to complete any brake work for you, make sure you know what you need done because they are likely to do only half a brake job, risking your life and annoying you with an ear shattering screech. I paid more at Olin Mott for a superior job. I had to return Tire Worlds rotors to get a refund since they didnt complete the task I had paid them for. Wont be going back again. Tell a friend to tell a friend.And no, I did not refuse to get anything done. If I had been properly educated, the ENTIRE brake job would have been completed. But why would I pay more when it seemed like just one piece could fix my problem? Of course, thats the route I took. But I went elsewhere and got the quality job WITH proper explanation of what needed to be done.

The two ladies who are always at the front desk are so nice and personable, and the services are always super quick and more affordable than anywhere else. Purchasing tires here is super painless and they give you tons of pricing options—plus they have discount days for a lot of different things. Only place I’d ever recommend.

I have always had a good buying experience at Tire World. The lady at the front desk (Patty) has always been pleasant and accomodating. However, the last time I bought a set of tires for my Mercedes I later found out they were not a good fit for my car. The Mgr of a Tires Plus told me the tires were not what I should have put on my car. He recommended a different tire and guaranteed me a smoother ride. He was right, a much smoother ride on the tires I bought from him. Now in all fairness to Patty, I did request the least expensive tires I could get but I would have preferred not at the expense of a rough ride. I would have preferred Patty steer me away from the cheaper tires and flat out told me they wouldnt be the best tires for my car, even though they were the cheapest.Sometimes comfort has to trump price. No hard feelings on my part as I have always received courteous and friendly service AND in a timely fashion. I just would have preferred being encouraged to spend a little bit more money for a better ride. If I move back to Tampa, I would still go back to tire World. I have and in fact still recommend Tire World to my friends in Tampa.

I have been doing business with Tire World for over 10 years. I found them by looking in the phone book. I compared pricing with 2 other establishments so thats why I started going there. I appreciate the personal service and whenever I have tire issues or anyone that I know, I send them there and tell them to ask for Patty. Shes going to give them name brands and prices and will answer any other questions to get them the best quality and for the best price. I am comfortable enough to send my car by tow truck, make a phone call, and know that it will get done and done right. Ive even had my car repaired also. Part and labor was much cheaper and I didnt have to go back. Never had unnecessary service recommended and when a service is/was recommended, I have it done there! Wont go anywhere. I will put my spare on if its after hours or just put my car down until I can get there. I dont trust anyone else. The cat is kool too!

Theres a pandemic im am furloughed who needs extra expenses at this point? I know im trying to survive like everyone else But now in these times Im having to rely on Uber Eats and Pizza delivery to survive and pay bills so i need my vehicle to survive. Went to tire world with a shake in my vehicle figuring all i needed a tire balancing and turned out 3 tires were bad. Like everyone else whos trying to survive i didnt need this added expense. Patti helped out greatly with 1 used tire and 2 very moderately priced new ones and with their weekly text messages I saved an additional 10% off. Almost new customer here. I decided to try Tire World based on the pretty good ratings. However, I was not able to get new tires put on my car because this shop has a weird way of handling appointments. I called ahead earlier in the week and made an appointment for 8am on a Saturday. The goal was to be the first customer of the day and be done within the 60-90 minutes that I was quoted on the phone. This would let me have plenty of time to make it to my kids game later in the day. However, after sitting in the lobby for 50 minutes I noticed my car hasnt moved. So I ask the nice lady at the desk if Id be done by 9:30am and she said that they might or might not be able to do it by 10am even if they put me next. Put me next? How was I after the 4 walk-in people that also showed up at 8am when the store opened? Why even make an appointment if the shop runs on a first come first served basis? Also, why not tell the person who had an appointment with that you gave a time estimate to that they could not meet the agreed upon time and see if that is okay or not? How long would I have sat in the lobby if I didnt ask about time? So many questions, so little customer service.

I wait for 30 minutes, they told me to wait, when I asked again they told me to wait for more than 40 minutes more. I left the place and I went to Firestone that the were more clear regarding hours, etc.

The staff was very friendly, especially Patty and the work was done at a reasonable price and the wait was not bad either.I did have to return because I had gotten a nail in my tire, but again the wait wasnt long and the patch was done free of charge.I will definitely be returning in the future and recommending friends/family to Tire World.

This place is the only place I take my Mercedes to for repairs besides the Mercedes headquarters. Ive never had any problems with my care once I leave the shop because the mechanics are experienced and have been there for a long time. The prices are reasonable; the staff is courteous. I dont get the feeling that because Im a female I will get ripped off. This is the place to go.

Got a 10% discount for Ladies Day (Thursday) which was nice. Was told there was also a 5% cash discount, but didnt receive a lower price once I showed I was paying in cash. I can, however, understand this as I was told they dont make much money on diesel oil changes due to the high price of the oil. Asked that they look for a transmission leak, but I think the mechanic missed that note so Ill have to take it back for that. Considering it was close to the end of the day when I took the car, it was speedy service and I paid what I was quoted. Would probably edit my review later if I had more substantial work done other than an oil change.

The only reason I did not rate this a 5 is due to pricing. Although I got a good deal on 4 tires, I was really intrigued by the $100 off and $100 rebate. Didnt realize the additional $100 rebate only applied to specific customers.But nonetheless, the process was quick and customer service was superb. From the moment I entered the building to the second I left, I was thoroughly entertained by Vic. He was great. Made spending my money fun, which seems like an oxymoron.I feel safe and happy with my four new tires. Thanks.
