Best shop Ive used in 20yrs. Matthew and Charles are always great, and know your name and car when you walk in the door. Honest and trustworthy with your car and service, always tell you what you need (must/should/may) with options, give customers great value, and dont nickel and dime you. Need a second opinion, want to save 30% vs dealer? I wish all shops were like Toy House. Ty guys! Those 1-star reviews you see here BTW are years old.

Best mechanic shop ever.i was referred their by one of their satisfied customers.These guys did a great job and honest.i know this because the Toyota dealer told me I had a $1,500 repair that needed done on my car.after the guys at the toy house inspected my car,they brought me out to the bay and showed me what area the dealer was talking about and also told me its o.k that it did not need repaired and they also showed me how the dealer mistaken the diagnosis.all I needed was an oil change

I have had my cars serviced by these guys for 15 years. I trust them completely. There is nothing shady about these guys and honesty is on the top of the list from this facility. I would never take my cars to anyone else. Good mechanics are hard to find. If I were to move across the bay I would never change my mechanics. They know Toyota and Lexus inside and out. Toy House is one honest repair shop. Dealer said my oil pan gasket was leaking. Repair would be 1800.00 because it is labor intensive. T.H. looked at my Tundra and said its typical for an oil ring to go bad on a pump. So I did that, front brake job, and 1 u joint replaced for 6 and change. No more oil leak!! Hows that for an honest place, people/owners?Do you have a Toyota product? This is your place for repairs!!!!

In my long life I have often felt uneasy when having my cars repaired. I always was Leary of being taken advantage of. I have now been to The Toy House with both our old Lexus and our Toyota RAV4. These folks made me feel comfortable and I could easily tell that they’d knew what they were doing. They are honest, fairly priced and go the extra mile in checking your car over, even things that I did not know needed checking. I will definitely be bringing my cars back here whenever they need service or repair.

2006, RAV4, V6 Sport, AWD; 211,000 miles---was making strange front end wheel noises.Toy House did accurate troubleshooting and found the drivers side front wheel bearing was going bad. Every time you turned the wheel a, whump-whump-whump sound would come from the front axles.Also it was howling like Mudder Off-Road Tires as you drove straight. Super pleased with the repair and the fair cost/price. Another NEW happy customer joins the ranks of the Toy House Fan Club !!!

This is by far the most reliable, most honest, most professional auto repair shop I have ever been to. We have been taking our 4runners exclusively to The Toy House for about 4 years now, and every time it has been a reassurance to have these top notch mechanics taking care of our cars. I have since moved to georgia and drove my car the 7 hours to have them repair our AC rather than trust anyone else with the job. They have a lifelong customer in myself and my wife and I cannot express how grateful i am to have this reliable destination for all our auto repair needs. I have been going to see Charlie and the guys at Toy House since I moved to tampa in 2004 for all my repair and tune up needs. I have a 99 Camry and whenever there is a problem, they are there to diagnose and fix it and the car is still running strong. Family owned and operated, up front with everything, no surprise repairs, and if they find something, they advise as to the severity and necessity of the repair so one can plan if it doesnt need to be addressed immediately. I have been telling anybody I know that for any Toyota or Lexus repair, Toy House is the place to go.

I brought my 14yr old 2005 LS430 with 116k miles into Toy House, via a friends recommendation, to get maintenance work done. In total, I had the following replaced: Timing belt, water pump, water pump fan bracket (found issue), thermostat, cam seals, drive belt, crank seal, valve cover gaskets, tube seals, spark plugs, transmission flush and oil change. It was an extensive maintenance job. They kept me informed the entire time and quickly turned it around (2 days). I can tell the transmission is smoother due to the flush and I plan on driving this car until it dies (doubtful). I trust these guys and would recommend them to anyone. They treat your car like they own it. I have a family mechanic and still chose these guys based on their stellar reviews. Im glad I did. Im a customer for life!

Just recently found these guys and I am SO glad I did! They are very nice, very affordable, and they do amazing things to old Toyota trucks!! I have had my alternator, four tires, ignition switch thingy, and brake pads/caliper replaced by them, in addition to normal maintenance like oil changes and tire rotation. They are completely honest and that is worth every penny they charge me! They give advice on what can/should be done in priority order (in case you cant afford it all done immediately), and when they give you an estimate they will be spot on.

They are awesome and honest. Best to make appointment.

These guys are outstanding. (I rarely leave all 5 stars.) In an era of businesses phoning it in, these dudes are a hidden gem and a great surprise. They were helpful, courteous and when they said my car would be done, it was done! Dont take your Toyota to ToTB. They are awful (see my review). Instead take your car to the Toy House.

Great place! Honest and very helpful. They actually repaired my sons flat tire for FREE (yes, free) the day before he was leaving to come home for Thanksgiving. It is good to know there are still some good people that are willing to help you. We definitely recommend them and plan to return for future needs.

I have been taking my vehicles to Ronnie and Charlie Hampton since 1998. My current car, a Honda, is running great after 10 years of service by Toyota House. The same is true of my husbands Tundra. The Hamptons are the most honest people I know and I recommend everyone to them. All the work we have done to these and prior vehicles has been done professionally at a reasonable (not Dealer) price. 100k service Tacoma completed. They replaced the wrong side wheel bearings and did not charge me even though I wanted to pay. Said to bring it back they will replace only charge me for the left side. Honest shop!!!

I DO NOT recommend Toy House Inc. to anyone. I picked up my car yesterday after spending a lot of money on repairs. My car overheated 2 minutes down the street and is now sitting in a parking lot. No one has returned my calls. I am VERY disappointed with service and repair!!

The people at Toy House did an excellent job on our toyota sienna. We went to another mechanic first and they couldnt figure what was wrong with our van. Our friends reccomend Toy House to us and were so glad they did. Before my wife was afraid of our van she had sort of PTSD over it breaking down all the time, now she enjoys driving it again and has all but forgotten the days before it was fixed correctly. If you’re taking your Lexus or Toyota to Toyota of Tampa Bay, you’re probably paying too much and you may even be paying for parts and labor you don’t even need! It’s happenend to me numerous times! Last week the most recent. Toyota wanted $954 for parts and labor for repairs I didn’t even need. I brought my car in to Matthew and Charlie... $124! It only needed some maintenance, not expensive repairs. Great guys, honest guys... they won’t charge you for repairs that aren’t necessary and they won’t over-charge you. Excellent repair work and very ethical, unlike Toyota’s deceptive business practices. Don’t think twice about bringing your Lexus or Toyota to them. You’ll be in great hands!

I was in the Tampa area in June 2017 because of my father having a heart attack and eventually passed, during this time I was trying to make funeral arrangements when my Lexus GS300 had an acceleration problem. My sister recommended the Toy House so I called to make an appointment for service, the owner told me he was booked and couldnt get to it until the following week. I explained my dilemma and he told me to bring it in and he would try to help. I had my car towed in by AAA, when I got there they had already diagnosed the car and knew exactly what the problem was, this was about 2:00 pm and I had to meet with the funeral home at 4:00 pm so I was concerned if I could even get back by the time the Toy House closed. The owner let me pay in advance and left my car out for me to pick up later. This has to be the GREATEST service I have ever received and I would recommend the Toy House to anyone, for the fact if any way possible I will take the drive from Sanford Florida to Tampa for any future repairs. Thanks again Toy House!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! My appointment was at 9am Monday. I called at 3pm because I needed my Lexus for a business meeting. I was told they were still working on Friday cars and its first come first served. I wish they would have said that at 9am. Then, when I went to pick up my car, the owner and Charlie (a mechanic I guess) told me to get on outta here! youre not welcome. I cannot express how bad the experience was. Do not go there unless you want an old man yelling at you.

Ronnie is the most rudest, inconsiderate and uncaring person Ive met. He has no respect for people nor for peoples property. On 7/2/2014, my car arrived at Toy House, 7/3 Ronnie calls, said car needed a computer & coil connector, I okayed the work. 7/7, Ronnie calls said car is smoking & needs motor oil & filter changed, I okayed it. On 7/8 Ronnie calls again to tell me that my car was parked idling and it caught on fire. I was in shock! I asked him; How did my car catch on fire? He replied; Im not GOD, I dont know. My car was totaled and thats all he had to say. Theyve refused to take any responsibility for what happened at their shop. They wouldnt even release my car until I paid $250.00 for labor and thats after they took the part they had installed out of my car. According to Charles & Ronnie, they were taking a loss. Imagine that! Theyve totaled my car and THEYRE taking a loss! And if that wasnt bad enough, after I paid the $250 they called a tow truck the next day and had my car impounded. I had to pay $175.00 to get my car out. Ronnie & Charles Hampton have no ethics, integrity, respect or morals. Their rating is ZERO (0).

WOW! I just landed a 05 Sequoia 4wd after 5 months of searching and took it into Toy House for the 100k service. They quoted almost half of the dealership, which was nice, but that wasnt the impressive part. These guys are straight up Toyo Dudes...if you have ever owned a toyota truck and have sworn off buying any other vehicle due to the sheer awesomeness of the toyota, then you know what a true Toyo Dude is...thats these guys. And that wasnt the impressive part.I called for a transmission flush (the kind where they actually do FLUSH the tranny) = $ a bunch (still, much less than dealer). Asked for the timing belt, seals, oil...worx = $ a bunch more (almost half dealer) After they had the truck for about two hours, they called and said all that service you wanted has already been done...we checked and you are good! So, instead of doing what probably 95% of the industry would do and just charge me for a service that 1) I didnt need or 2) they didnt do, they simply called and said youre good!Stand up guys...wont take my truck anywhere else from here on out! Thank you Charlie and Mathew for being so awesome!
