I have a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander sport and First off this shop is the spot to go to!! Caesar the shop manager is on his job very respectful and one of the most understanding person I have met in a while. I was fortunate to meet the owner Victor and what a great man he knows his stuff and from a personal stand point showed myself and my wife the upmost respect. His team knows their stuff real talk. I’m new to Tampa and I am very picky on who messes with my whip “car” to where if I can do it myself I will. Mad hatter is really the spot!!! So I took my 93 civic to get a full exhaust done. Took them a vband clamp to place at the header for easy removal. Pick up the car and notice they welded the v band clamp on the rear which defeated the purpose and the whole exhaust system hung cause they didn’t hang it correctly. Took it back to get fixed and got greeted with an attitude right away! and after my car sitting there all day I get a call to come back. Go get my car and it’s still isn’t done correctly. Tell the owner and he immediately begins to insult me and cuss me out. Throwing a lot of personal shops telling me he owns another business and this and that. Telling me never to bring the car again. Don’t go there and get ripped off. Worst service I’ve ever seen. Avoid this company at all cost.

Mad Hatters is hands down the best place to take your beloved car for anything exhaust related. I had taken my Mustang GT in to have some work done. Not only did they take phenomenal care of my exhaust work and found the perfect sound for my car, they even went the extra mile to ensure I had other parts of my car repaired at their sister shop down the street. Btw, Charles is the go to person to ensure everything is done correctly. Both shops are excellently ran, and if you’re considering anywhere else look no further.

Had both resonators removed (straight pipes. I declined an x-pipe) on my 2019 m550i. After some negotiation Cesar gave me a decent price and did not try to bait and switch in the end. I was planning to purchase a stock M5 competition exhaust. But now it sounds so great and not obnoxiously loud that I dont have to waste $2000+ They do seem to have a mandrel tube bender as well

I am a bit slow to write this review as my service was a few weeks ago, but the service at Mad Hatter was so awesome I had to follow up with this review.The story.I had gone to another shop to get dual exhaust on my truck. My only requests: Dont remove the Cat, and dont make it loud.That shop not only removed my cat (against the law I believe) but it was so loud I could not travel above 55 mph without the drone in the cab of my truck being so bad I could barely think.I then went to Mad Hatter as I saw the reviews were spectacular and I was not disappointed. They quickly corrected the ..wish I could remember the word they used...interesting muffler configuration the other shop had installed, installed a CAT and replaced the noisy mufflers with some rated to a level of my needs. My truck sounds awesome and I could not be happier.Dont make the mistake I did and go somewhere else and have to come here to correct the problems. Come here first and you will not be disappointed.

I recommend to anyone in the Tampa, Bay area. i had been searching and driving to different locations, non come close to Mad Hatter Muffler And Brakes.Great experience. I had been calling around all morning to find a decent exhaust shop to weld up my new cherry bomb and run the exhaust.My 1995 Ford Ranger is a special one being very custom and the body and fuel tank being a problem. Victor and his crew had got me in quickly, and helped me decide on where i should run it and what they thought would look great. Their prices are great, victor helped me out and also let me choose which tip would look good. They do great work, great place, great shop, clean work space youre not stumbling over hoses or slipping on oil, plenty of parking. This place deserves 10 stars.

BEWARE!! EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I CALLED THE COPS ON THE OWNER. Beware of the owner Victor. Starts out as a nice guy but the second you question there CC service charge or question anything else he will FLIP out on you. I got my exhaust done but was questioning pricing to make sure I wasn’t getting ripped off. I questioned his 4% credit card fee that he didn’t disclose to me and SLAMMED his fist on the counter and SCREAMED at me. I grabbed my belongings and call the cops. He made me fear for my life. Terrible customer service. Terrible Owner and Over priced. I could give a 0 star I could!! And what ever he’s says in the comments he a liar!!

This place is amazing! It was my first time here and they’re really good! 10/10 recommend!! Got a muffler delete, mid muffler delete and a cherry bomb installation for my Dodge Charger and it sounds awesome! The sound is exactly how I wanted it if not better! They do a great job with exhaust work. Nice welds and 3 year warranty for straight-piped cars. The owner is there to help you anytime. I would say that they can make more money if they offered extras like tips for the exhaust, I seen some but no one even mentioned it to me.Go early because they are always booked.

I was shopping around for two catalytic converters for my Nissan and everywhere that I went the price was too high and I wasnt totally convinced since I kept getting different diagnosis and prices. I decided to go to mad hatters being that their are a muffler shop and Im so glad that I did! They did a great job at a very good price and even installed my new tires. The next day I got stranded at the gas station for something totally different. In a state of panic I called them and Jovan sent Rio whos an incredible mechanic and he took my car to the shop and fixed the gear shifter handle that was lose for free and I was on my way to my appointment within twenty minutes. Im very grateful to Jovan, Rio and Victor the owner and also to another guy that was there that I didnt get his name. Thank you guys so much! 💖

I Took in my 2017 Camaro for a custom exhaust and I was beyond impressed with everything Mad Hatter offered. The owner is a very honest man who is there to meet all of your needs! I went in planning on spending around 1k-1.5k$ for a new custom exhaust, I was out the door at a little over 400$ with taxes included and that also included new exhaust tips! My car was done within 2 hours and I couldnt be more happy with the way it turned out! I will be taking my car to no other shop but Mad Hatter and I suggest you do the same! Thank you Mad Hatter. Mad Hatter Muffler never disappoints with there quality work and customer Satisfaction. I have done 4 vehicles with them over the past 10 years and never had any issues. I wanted to especially write a review because they went up and beyond in helping me achieve the right sound for my 2017 mustang I went back 3 times with 3 different set ups and it cost me less then a 1000 dollars. bolt on exhaust alone cost over 1000.00 for a set up. I installed a trailer hitch on my 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe. When I went to install the aftermarket exhaust it was making contact with the trailer hitch mounting brackets. I called Mad Hatter and explained my situation over the phone. They told me to bring my car to the shop so they can look at it. No appointment needed. I brought my car in around 2:00PM. They quickly found the issue and showed me what needed to be done to make it fit. They were able to complete the work before they closed at 5PM and I was able to drive my car home the same day. I would highly recommend them for exhaust needs.

Extremely unprofessional and they are scam artist. Will ask you to take it to the shop for an estimate over a simple install and waste your time and overcharge you.

Great people. I had them do a swap out of my axle back on my Mustang and they did a great job. The guy was even polishing up the tips when he was done.

The owner gave me some great tips on what to do when looking to remove my catalytic converters to gain some sound. Only got my secondary removed but if I ever feel like getting my primary catalytic converter removed I will 100% be coming back to Mad Hatter Mufflers.

I brought my car in to these folks due to it losing power and blowing black smoke. Originally I thought the timing belt was stretched but wasnt sure and took to Midas/ Speedy mufflers in Zephyrhills who quoted me $1063 to repair and agreed to $1000 and was told the car would be ready by the next day. They charged me $192 to tell me it wasnt my belt and wanted permission to keep searching and charging to see what was wrong. I paid the bill and informed them I was displeased as they overcharged me and still had a non running vehicle the guy laughed and said they had saved me money. I self diagnosed the vehicle and found that one of the catalytic converters was clogged but could not identify which. I removed the front 02 sensor and my car regained most of its power and I was able to drive it to Tampa to friends. It was Memorial Day weekend and everything was closed so I decided to try to clean out the system on my own which helped but the issue still persisted. I located Mad Hatters on Waters Ave close to where I was staying and decided to take my car there early this AM. I was attended by Abraham who was personable and professional and informed him of what I suspected the issue was. Within 20-30 mins of the car being put in the bay Charles the technician had confirmed with a pressure check that one of the catalytics ( the one underneath) was clogged and would have to be replaced. Within another hour the job was complete and they also realined my exhaust and reconnected the hangers that hold the exhaust in place. Total time approximately 1hr 15mins Parts , Labor & diagnosis $314. I will definitely be referring my friends and family to these folks they do good work at a fair price and most important they are honest and you cant put a price tag on that!Sincerely,Leo.H

This location was incredible. I needed about 5 to 6 fixed on my vehicle, and within 2 hours it was finished. They exceeded my expectations for sure. They’re very knowledgeable and go out of their way to help. Extremely professional as well. This is my new go to spot if I need anything done on my car.

Place was a joke. Understaffed on last Monday. I walked out after a 20 wait for assistance. Nobody ever even addressed me waiting.

I would stay away from here. I was referred to here due to their supposed great service. So I recommended my brother to go there with his 2015 corvette . He called prior and was given a quote of $200 for a muffler delete. He gets to the shop and is given a quote of $650 to do a muffler delete. when asked why the price different than over the phone he was given the answer corvettes are more complex . Hmm understandable but funny thing is I know several other people who have gone there with far more complex cars with and were quote way below $650. And the fact he gave you the exact car and model over the phone before making a 45 minute drive to you just to change the price is bad business practice and is shady in all kinds of ways. I would not do business here. Disappointing after reading all these reviews and getting referred. Be transparent with your pricing and not bait and switch.

Was new to the area and everyone I asked where to go to said them! so I said why not everyone there was so nice and you CANNOT beat that they give you a warranty when you get work done by them it’s a Win win definitely will go back If I need work again by the way I had the work done on my 2020 5.0 mustang

I went there to get a muffler installed on my car. Abraham Martinez and crew were very professional, it was a quick process and not too expensive, for such a well done job. I would definitely recommend them for all your automotive needs.

I went in on Wed. 1/20/21 to have them look at my car because it was so sounding a bit louder than it should. My friend recommended this location as he had his muffler work done on his car and was satisfied. He referred me there thinking the noise was possibly my muffler. They told me it sounded like a pulley and it would cost around $200. They said I would have to come back on Thurs. 1/21/21 or Fri. 1/22/21. I came back Thurs. morning 10:00am. They removed the timing belt to make sure they could hear which pulley it was and left me in the hot waiting room with a bathroom that was locked and had a sign posted on both days I was there, saying, Out of Order. I waited until 1:15pm. I went to check to see what was happening and they never ordered any parts or did any work while I was sitting there waiting for 3 full hours. I am an insulin dependent diabetic and had to test my blood sugar and had to go across the street to 7-11 gas station to wash my hands to be able to check my Blood Sugar and to use a toilet. After 3 hours and 15mins. waiting, they still hadnt ordered any parts, so I asked them to put the timing belt back on my car and left very disappointed with the same loud noise. I also drove all the way from MacDill Air Force Base to get there. It was a complete waste of my time. The poor front desk guy was doing the job of mechanic helper and receptionist running back and forth and didnt know what to do because the guy named Charles was the one that was supposed to do the work and Abraham was just helping as much a he could. I left frustrated and with no positive feelings or results.

Be really careful with the prices and service.They can charge you 300$ and drop the price 170 in 10 seconds and asking to pay them with CASH:)When i asked my you charging me more cus i was here twice and did mufler for 150$ ,He goes i’m supervisor and boss is not here. Basically, boss charges twice less than supervisor.

Prior to the pre-covid, we went to have our muffler repaired and was very pleased with the service and staff. We returned three weeks ago to check minor issues on our vehicle - it was not the same staff that attended us in March. The owner looked at our vehicle and was supposed to call us back regarding the part/price, and two weeks have passed and have not received a call back. We called last week to follow up and was told that he has not been there for a while and the front desk person is inexperience and lack listening and communications skills. We are very disappointed because we thought this will be the place to take our vehicle but now we have to search for another place.

This place was awesome. Literally just got back from getting a custom exhaust job done (muffler delete). I went in at 11:30AM and I am home with the job done at 1:55PM. I have a 2020 civic hatchback sport and it sounds absolutely awesome, and looks great after what they did. Chad asked me what I was looking for, made the recommendation, and it was history from there. Also paid $220 for the job. Anywhere else you go is going to be way worse than that. They also let me keep my old muffler and were courteous enough to ask me that. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of automotive work. They are straightforward, non-pressure, nice, down-to-earth, fast guys! Thanks fellas!

Im sorry that I dont know the guys names but they were fantastic. I went there after being told I would have to wait several days at another location. I told them the problem I was having and they ran several diagnostic procedures on my truck and narrowed it down to a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor. They told me what to do to replace it myself to save me money. The other places were going to Charge me to replace catalytic converter which would have been 800+. Thanks Mad Hatter on Linebaugh. Ill be back.
