I had a good experience at Pep Boys. I needed all new tires on my car and even on a busy day the customer service provided to me was friendly and respectful. Front desk guy was super patient with me, answering my questions, assuring me the tires I chose were a good choice, very helpful and knowledgeable. My car had new tires on and alignment done in a timely and professional manner by the guys who worked on it. They’re a great and trustworthy place. Looking forward to using them in the near future with any of my car needs.

I think they need more employees and it would cut down the wait time for customers. I have no issues with the work done or the people here, but I feel a bit pushed aside a bit.

Nice but certainly not quick. I came at 740 and left at 11:15 on a Friday. Took 3.5 hours for a safety inspection + 1 tire replacement. Not the place for you if you don’t have all day

The manager was polite and courteous. However I paid for tires and the tires where not delivered on time and the manager had to drive personally to pick them up which meant another 90 wait not the time frame to put them on when he returns and its my grand daughters Birthday🎂🎉 shes 11 today.

Had an appointment for an oil change at noon. They didnt even touch my car until 2:30. 3 hours for an oil change with an appointment is why I will never recommend them or do business with them again.

So I made an appointment a couple days ago, I come in at the time scheduled, the employee at the desk couldnt for a second stop with their customer to ask me anything, obviously Im there dropping off the car! so 15min goes by before anyone talks to me and it was someone else.I expect maybe 40 minutes just to get my tires balanced, thats it! he tells me 1 or 2 hours. so fine, I leave and I call 2.5 hours later and they havent even started on the car and tell me it should be done in another hour and half. I cant believe it 4 hours!?also I waited 5min on hold just to ask a question only to be hung up on. call back, 8 min later I finally get an answer, and wasnt what I was hoping.there wasnt many cars in the bays, maybe 2 or 3 customers there. anyway I dont know how many mechanics technicians they have working but they can start working on my car at the same time they work on others. I saw oil changes being done, they can put mine on the lift, come back do the other car, go back to mine take a tire off, have someone else do the balance, go back to the other car...instead of working on one car all the way through, they could at least do as many as they can all at the same time.

I inquired on the price about a set of rims. I was bounced back and forth, 4 times from the parts department to the service Department . When I Complained An older lady with a strong Spanish accent told me to look it up online!!! I snapped at her and said, theres ten of you standing around doing nothing. Visited just because I was driving a friend who already made the mistake of patronizing them. I rather not share my couple of super negative experiences with them and strongly suggest you spend your money elsewhere.

I took my car to get the AC System checked. They Discovered A crack in my power steering return hose which I knew was there and it was barely leaking. I had kept an eye on it for over a month and the fluid level had never even dropped. After I left pepboys my power steering hose had a bigger crack and no fluid in my reservoir. I lost power steering on my way home nearly getting into an accident. Their Manager refuses to take responsibility of any kind. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE THEY WILL MESS IT UP TO MAKE MORE MONEY OFF OF YOU. They have lost my BUSINESS for good. Never will I step foot in another PEPBOYS again.

Made an appointment for 4pm. My car was not even brought in to the shop until 5. I was simply asking for a patch for my tire. I did not leave until close to 6pm. I do not understand why I made an appointment and got there for 4 when my car wasnt brought in until 5. I would not have made an appointment. Service was good and employees were great.

They have really great customer service. Everyone is incredibly friendly and super helpful. I went to jiffy lube right down the street before I came here and they couldn’t take care of me because apparently my frs was too low (even though it was stocked) and when I asked if there was anything nearby auto places that I can go to, they had the audacity to try and send me to feeding hills. So I went to pep boys and they serviced me right away! I was able to get a great deal for my oil change and plus the tire rotation was free with that! Jose and the crew really were incredible. I will definitely be coming back from many auto services.

Traveling back from our Florida vacation to Maine we had a problem with a wheel bearing. If youre looking to get a tune up DONT come here!! The mechanics messed my engine up, lied and said I needed a valve cover gasket because oil got in the spark plugs to make extra money and now I cant drive it. Im never going back here again .

Just had four tires installed after keeping the car all day, when I get it back three of my rims are damaged and the tires were not balanced properly. Major disappointment!

Decent price for what I brought my vehicle in for. Got extra $800. Quote for extra work needed. Got parts on line $95. Even if they put them in only $200. Total $295 vs. $800....massive savings and over priced on parts...not in a rush to go back

I used to enjoy having my car serviced at pep boys. I never felt like I was being over charged, I never had to wait for hours on end for my car to be serviced. Until recently I was told I needed a part replaced, I was quoted a price for the part which I thought was extremely high so I shopped online and got it for about half of what pep boys wanted to charge. Verified it was the right part and made the appointment. Well I show up for my appointment nice and early only to find out the person who was doing the work wasnt there. No phone call to me to notify me/reschedule my appointment. I understand these things happen but the lack of communication, courtesy, respect for my time ticked me off but I keep my cool and reschedule for the same day the next week same time. Well this time I called ahead to ask if the person working on my car was in. This time I was told two other people were booked in the same time frame as my appointment and that I could call back to see if the mechanic was available. In other words they totally disregarded my appointment. I never called back. Both incidents displayed poor customer service and gave the impression theyre not interested in my business. I will not being going back or recommending them to anyone.

Had purchased tires for son for a gift. Before we could get tires on the car the vehicle was no more. Called up and spoke with manager seeing it was already paid for and had been scheduled. But not installed. Was not a problem he checked inventory and a full refund was given. Went there for the best price on the tires with the warranty when you compare all the add-ons from the others dealers so we WILL be going back.

I had a noon appointment, noticed my vehicle in the parking lot at 1:30. Asked about it and was told they hadnt looked at it yet and was given ridiculous reasons why. Called customer service (listed in review below by Pep Boys) and spoke to a woman who put my through to another line that dropped me... so no customer service available to me AT ALL. Absolutely unacceptable service. They really dont care about the customers at this location and from what I am reading, they dont care at other locations either. I will be spending my hard earned money on real people who know how to do their jobs.

They have a fair number of generic products specialty counter in back has great service.

I had purchased tires from here a year ago, one just recently had a huge nail in it, they were able to fix it no problem. Will continue to come here for tires.

I’m so frustrated with this place. First ever experience with pep boys. I scheduled an apt for 12 on sunday to purchase 4 tires and have them installed. I get there at 11:45 and wait at the counter for 15min before the cashier comes to help me. The gentleman working on the vehicles was very nice and told me someone would be right with me. 15 mins later the man comes to counter. I explain i have an apt. He then checks his tire stock and tells me he only has 3 of the tires and i would have to come back after 1:30. I ask him if there’s something comparable in my size and he said no because everything is on sale so it’s gone. The entire conversation was more of a don’t know what to tell you attitude from him. Now it’s 2:00 and i can’t get anyone on the phone to confirm their truck has arrived. Not really sure what the appointment service is for when it’s inaccurate.

I have mixed feelings about this location because I absolutely love the staff who work the parts store, but there are a few gentlemen in the service department who are just not customer friendly. I went to get an oil change from them and asked if they could do walk in. I was told yes but you will be waiting a while and its best to make an apt. So I asked when they could schedule me and he tells me not for two days. Which by then my coupons and rewards cash were going to expire and he made sure to tell me I would not be able to have them honored either. So I was disappointed with their service team.

Sold me tires without checking stock. Lost 6 hours of my personal time for last 2 days. After waiting 3 hours each day with my car in the bay, technician tells me they have no tires for me even though they confirmed night before. Very displeased with the service. They should shut this store down. Rude employees.

Its not my first choice but Im always hopeful. The cashier was missing when it was time for me to pay for my purchase. They do have some good items.

The woman at the front of the service desk, Dawn, was very rude and spoke to me very condescendingly. When looking for the appointment my father had made for me she was impolite and said I didnt have one when I did. In the computer my car was listed under the wrong year and when I corrected her she questioned me as if I didnt know the year of my own car. She also was recommending me for specific oil for my car when I had made an appointment for a tune up, not an oil change. She was unfriendly to me when I left as well. As far as service, everything seems okay and it was fairly priced, so no complaints there, but I hope to have better front desk service if I ever return.

Went to this location to take advantage of their BOGO on the Cooper tires. We planned on picking up a set of tires for my husbands truck and looking at wheels for my soon to be lifted Wrangler. Ended up leaving with a full set of tires for the truck AND are going later this week to pick up my tires for my Wrangler! Even though they were seriously busy with the pending storm and the crazy tire deal, everyone was super friendly and Rob was even knowledgable and a fellow Jeeper so it made the experience of buying wheels for my Wrangler much easier! Thank you guys so much!!

Scheduled for 9Am, arrived at 8h45. The tire girl only starts her shift at 10 Am. Bad experience.

Had an appointment to get tires and an alignment and they told me it would be an hour and a half to two hours it ended up being 5 hours. They told me only one person can do alignments so you will have to wait until he’s ready. Definitely won’t be going there again.

Would not even give one star but it wouldn’t let me put zero. Brought my car in for new spark plugs, because my car was sputtering and roaring. Their evaluation machine and auto zones machine told me spark plugs were the issue. Like an idiot I ended up paying $631 for new spark plugs and a tune up, and left with my car not even fixed. Same problems and same issues of sputtering and roaring. Oh and I sat there from 10 AM until 5:30 PM !!!!!!!! When they said it would only be 3 hours. They completely ROBBED me do not go here I’m warning you !!!!!!!

I was in and out and staff was friendly.

I wanted to buy 4 tires and called to place an order. The lady on the phone was very rude that I didnt want place the order. She wanted me to buy the brands she had in stock which were significantly higher. She then told me I would have to order through the website & she couldnt help me(blatant lie).I contact customer service and they call the store and basically made her do her job(she didnt like that). When I arrived to have the tires installed I expected some tension because of the incident over the phone.Immediately the tension was there but I just wanted my tires installed and be on my way. Of course the wait was much longer than expected even though I had an appointment & they werent busy at all.While sitting there I watched one of the clerks be very rude to an old lady that was tired of waiting for her car & it seemed clear that they were overcharging multiple customers at the same time.Once my car was finally ready they tried to overcharge me. I showed them the online price for my order and explained that was all I was going to pay, they changed the price but it was a long process. Later that day I tried to run an errand before work and my car(that was recently fully inspected by the dealer)was acting very odd by not driving while in drive & not starting. I called and complained that this was their fault & Id be sending them the bill for any repairs.To make a long story short. The whole experience was a nightmare. After they fixed their mistakes, I now have tires that need to be reinflated frequently, more & more by the day. This place has scam written all over it, all they had to do was install my tires but they found time to do everthing but that.Ive never posted a bad review online until today. I would reccomend avoiding this place at all costs! If you have self respect & value your hard earned money go elsewhere. This place should be shutdown.

You have a scammer at your Springfield location! Went in on a Sunday morning since I discovered a nail in my tire . Brought the car to get looked at 10 am. They called me at 5 and said I needed 2 new tires and since it was AWD I would have to buy 4 new tires instead. My car is 1 yo old. I told him in past I would just have to buy that 1 new tire and I’ve never been told I needed 4 new tires for 1 damaged tire . He rushed us and fast talked us. It was very inconvenient mostly because due to time he called me there was no way to find someone else to try and fix it. To make it worst we were traveling out of area at 7 am the next day so had to take another vehicle . Upon returning I went to Goodyear and the nail was a really in the tire and since my tires are new - it did not puncture and I did not need a new tire !Would never use Pep Boys for any car issues again!Maria

Incompetent and unprofessional staff. My boyfriend went here for an oil change after we met for lunch around noon, by the time I was out at 3:30 he was STILL there... FOR AN OIL CHANGE. They claimed they forgot about him. Are you kidding me? Besides that the girl working the service desk was not busy at all, she was taking selfies and attempting to flirt with the mechanics. Every time he went up to ask what was going on she would walk away. Absolutely unacceptable. DO NOT GO HERE.

The only nice person Ive interacted with here was the female manager, and shes the reason for the extra star. I had an appointment for the afternoon, and after sitting there for 2hr without any service, I asked for my keys back to leave. I went back later that evening cuz it was crucial I get in, and she had witnessed the tail end of my struggle with the morning/afternoon crew and grabbed someone to work on my car immediately. She apologized for the earlier crews actions and comments -- the mechanics and desk worker in the morning/afternoon were making comments about how I wasnt a man because I didnt know how to fix my own car. Not ok. So yes, besides her, I have never had a good experience here. Given them enough chances.

This is a first and last. Brought in a fleet vehicle , found it needed ball joints. They had none in stock. I said I will be back in a week.I arrived for appointment They never ordered it.NEVER WILL I RETURN
