They are better at color matching than the big box stores.

These folks are the absolute BEST! And totally know their stuff. After a disappointing experience at Sherwin-Williams where an employee literally threw a swatch book at me when I asked if they could do color matching, Jeff at Miller Paint saved the day with his kindness, patience and expertise.He was able to perfectly match the paint chips I brought in and talked me through picking the right paint for our companys project. Speedy turnaround, good prices and the friendly service cannot be beat. Hugest of thanks to Jeff and the other lovely folks here for providing excellent service -- even during these crazy times of COVID-19!

Excellent customer service. They are always very helpful and responsive. And I love their low/no VOC paint line Acro Pure. No smell, easy to clean and long lasting. Were big fans!

I guess I have gotten accustom to efficient and friendly service from other paint stores. Dont try to call and have them make up more paint for you...they dont seem to have a system that keeps track of paint purchases like Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams and they wont be able to give you a specific pick up time. I regret walking into Miller Paint. I should have just gone to Sherwin Williams or driven a little further to Benjamin Moore. Save yourself...get your paint somewhere else. Also, they close at 4 on Saturday...ridiculous.

They had some large 81/2 x 11 sheets of paint for $1.99 which I had been told I could buy a few different ones and then return. I actually think this is a great idea as it is easier to take home larger sheets of paper to compare and then bring it back, instead of leaving little cans of sample paint in ones garage that one does not really use.When I went to return and buy the paint selected, Kendra, an assistant manager according to her name tag, said that she could not take back. After explaining to her what I had been told, she said she would take it back for me. After selecting the paint I wanted, I asked her for the coupon that they had for the current month and she said that they did not have that. When I told her that another salesperson had told me that I did not really need the coupon, Kendra seemed disinclined to give me the lower price. Came back latter to buy paint and this time brought the coupon that I had at home, she started to question the terms of the coupon, before reluctantly acknowledging that she was mistaken on the terms of the coupon.First of all, I do want to acknowledge that to my mind Kendra seemed at the opposite extreme of someone willing to go out of their way and help a customer. She in fact put up all kinds of barriers to do so. Perhaps she was having a bad day... several times she expressed a fear of losing her job if she did anything outside what the policies stipulated.I called this morning to ask if there were any specials on paint and was told that the Evolution paint is regularly $52.95 and will be $42.95 for the entire year. This left me scratching my head - in what parlance is that considered a sale as opposed to just the price if it is going to be around for the entire year.Now, I have supported Miller because it is a regional company, and I have previously had good experiences there. But these recent experiences have really left a bad taste in my mouth. Whether it is an individual being unhelpful, or a company culture fostering disempowerment of its employees, these are reasons to not support such a business.

The Ballard location of Miller Paint has super helpful, knowledgable, and friendly staff. On my first trip in 2018 I was blown away by the excellent customer service and color matching skills. The two staff members have been doing color matching for over 2 decades and will start with their color matching computer, and then fine tune to get you an exact match. In addition, the store DOES have a database and all paint colors purchased are added to your account for easy future lookup (another review said this wasnt the case). I have no complaints. The store is also clean, well stocked with painting supplies and has nice parking lot. You can even mozy over and pick up some coffee or donuts at the Ballard Blocks while you wait.Keep in mind that the store can get randomly busy much like a restaurant, one minute there store will be empty and have no wait, then 5 minutes later it can get swamped. Its a good idea to have a swatch that you can leave at the store.

I just had a custom stain match done here at Miller (early May ‘18) now that they’ve recruited a very talented, last-bastion-of-Dalys, color stain match pro. Rebecca really went the extra mile in making this a win win. Uge kudos! Also, over the last few years, as I occasionally do some painting, I’ve experienced great service from the friendly and pro team there, so, a big shout out to >all< of you there! Keep up the great work. I’ll go nowhere else, at least for now.
