I cant imagine buying a bed and not trying it out. And these guys have a great selection of mattresses to try and helpful sales team to direct you beds based on your preferences and sleeping type. Additionally, they are a LOCALLY owned, small business -- which is really where I prefer to spend my dollars. Bonus: we bought a tempur-pedic that is made in Auburn, WA!

I went in hoping for a mattress and a week after it arrived my back has so much gratitude for this place. I got wonderful customer service, the company was flexible in terms of payment and delivery options. The mattress is worth every penny and I wish I wouldve gone here much sooner

Have been sleeping on a latex mattress made-to-order by Seattle Mattress Company for just over a year now. Best bed ever. It was an upgrade over a mattress from one of the well known direct-to-consumer brands, which was good value and comfortable enough, but the difference in comfort and quality of sleep is undeniable.I remember our main salesperson was very courteous and helpful, and got some assistance from another staff member who was more curmudgeony but in a sort of friendly way. This was pre-pandemic and I hope they are all doing alright, as we hope to be able to shop there again.

Seattle Mattress Co is incredible! They are a family run business and have a long history in Ballard. We ended up purchasing one of their locally made in-house mattresses. Weve slept on it for a few months now. It was well priced, great quality and one of the best mattresses Ive purchased. We also purchased a sheet set from them, highly recommend. Their delivery team was fantastic. Of course, this purchase and delivery was made prior to COVID 19 concerns and shut downs. Thanks again for everything!

Excellent mattresses with clear product lines. Store manager clearly could explain the offerings and wasnt pushy. We bought the locally-made in house brand - spring with latex top. Had it for about a month and its the best mattress Ive slept on.

I was very disappointed with the salesperson I worked with. I had been to another store in the area that I really liked but wanted to check a few more places in the area. They trash talked the other store and their way of making mattress. Saying things like that will only bring you down in my eyes. It also made the competitor look like the right choice because their service and product was outstanding. The sales person was informative, but I didnt trust much of what they said because of the first impression starting to build. The bed that I liked was VERY comfy. I originally thought that the price was similar to, if not the same, as the competitor. When I took a second look at the price tag, the comfort I enjoyed wouldve costed an additional $800 due to the fact that the mattress had a mattress pad on top of it. I dont want to spend $1700 on a mattress just to spend another $800 to make it comfortable. It seemed a little sneaky to me. If sneakiness wasnt their intention, then it is a roundabout way of pricing a mattress and that doesnt seem like a smart way to offer a product.

Amazing 24 hour turnaround from template to installation for a custom mattress on our boat!!! I visited Canvas Supply in Ballard on a Friday to inquire about repair of some canvas panels on our raised pilothouse motor yacht and off-handedly asked if they knew of any custom mattress shops that could build a new mid-ship master queen mattress for our boat. Unbeknownst to me they have a sister company Seattle Mattress manufacturing custom mattresses on an adjacent premises to their canvas shop. After a personal tour of the facility they directed us to their retail store on 15th Ave in Ballard to check out our options. Met the manager who very professionally showed us our options. We selected a mattress model with custom sheets with the stipulation that we were leaving on a cruise next Thursday and needed it by then. On Monday morning Tony McLauchlan was on our boat templating the mattress when I mentioned that we were now going to try to leave on Tuesday...literally the next day...and would there by any way I could surprise my wife with a new mattress for this cruise. Seattle Mattress/Tony pulled it off!!! 24 hours from template to installation by 11AM the next day! The new Briarcliff mattress sleeps like a dream! Great mattress! Great service! Great Company!

Just purchased my 3rd mattress from this company in less than 6 months. Needed to replace twin mattresses for my kids. Initially shopped here with my daughter, then comparison shopped at other big brand stores, and daughter even noticed quality and dollar value better at Seattle Mattress Store! The sales people were kind and patient, and even helped me load mattress into my car!Mattress #2 son moving away to college. Didnt even look anywhere else! Same great experience.Mattress #3 replaced old saggy mattress at home--also a twin bed. Consistent quality . In and out of store in less than 5 minutes. Sales people were helpful as always! We bought one of the organic mattresses made in Italy and love it. It is extremely comfortable. I especially like the fact that if I spend a third of my life in bed, I dont want to be breathing in toxic fumes, its a small price to pay for your health. I also love the fact that if my husband thrashes around, or turns over at night, my side of the bed remains stable, so my sleep isnt disturbed. The staff is professional and doesnt use pressure tactics.

I couldnt actually afford the beds, but i know where to shop when i am in a better place financially. The staff were awesome, even when it was clear we were not going to be buying a bed. We got all of our bedding stuff here just cause they were so great. Love it. Cant wait to buy one of thier amazing mattresses.

We got ours about 9 months ago, and love it! We bought two adjustable beds with latex mattresses. My husband got a slightly softer one than mine, and then discovered he needed something firmer. We called and they arranged the switch happily and swiftly, and now he sleeps as well as I do. They were great in terms of knowing about their products and checking on things we asked afterwards.

I went to 7 mattress companies. None were as professional, or easy going, as this one. Also, the mattress quality seemed to be far superior. I think the guys name was Derek. He was fantastic, and my new bed is crazy terrific. I sleep so well!

I liked this store - the sales was easy going and while Ive purchased mattresses before I felt no pressure and didnt know that if I felt I needed a mattress topper then I needed to find another mattress that felt just right with OUT a topper.Delivery went smooth and they took away my old mattress and donated it to a homeless shelter.Nice people that are worth the drive.Thanks!

Bed was great, pillows were terrible. After selling us on $320 worth of pillows (2) and a “90 day return policy” we attempted to return the pillows. Looks like the 90-day policy only applies to mattresses. The pillows are the worst we’ve slept on. Looks like the joke is on us. Don’t get sold on this gimmick like we did.

Purchase your new mattress with a protector and you have up to ninety days for a comfort exchange.

Got a latex mattress here about 5 months ago and Im happy to report its exactly as they said it would be. Aside from that, the sales team was very chill, no pressure, but also helpful.

I went in on Sunday March 13th, and after about 2 hours buying a bed, their prices are very reasonable compared to the large chains, and everything they sell is locally made! While I am still waiting for delivery, I have been happy with the experience so far.

My husband and I have been very happy with our experience in both the purchase and delivery of our mattresses. This review is overdue as we have returned multiple times over the past couple of years for a total of 5 purchases. Our first purchase was a new mattress & boxspring for our daughter. We returned a year later and purchased a mattress & boxspring for ourselves - one that has different firmnesses on the left and right as my husband and I had differing opinions/preferences. Weve all been very happy with our choices. As they also do custom-made mattresses, later we returned and had a replace made for our hide-a-bed mattress and also purchased mattress pads for both our childrens college dorm beds (our kids were thrilled!). I was impressed with the convenience and professionalism of the delivery folks - they also took away our old boxspring for recycling. I prefer to support local businesses when I can and have also highly recommended this store to my friends.

SUPER DISHONEST COMPANY!! My partner and I bought a mattress from them and it was a huge mistake. I have no idea how these guys stay in business when they steal money from people.
