Such a trendy and cute little coffee and breakfast spot. Ordered a breakfast sandwhich and glad my husband and I grabbed one to split....it was huge! It was filled with delicious flavors and the bread was amazing. We were both full and still managed to finish every bite. Staff were friendly and our barista was so excited for us to be visiting for the first time. Plenty of outdoor seating.... few inside tables available as well. Prices were reasonable. Coffee was good too.

***From out of town and love everything craft coffee***Searched for craft coffee houses and this one showed up first. The aesthetic on google images look like the place I was searching for(but that’s not always the case as we all know). Showed up, walked in and was greeted promptly by the staff! The building was industrial modern, with a great flow to the entire space. Besides coffee, they serve hand crafted cocktails and a verity of vegan options with traditional food options as well. I ordered pour over and sat down to wait. Mellow RNB played in the background while I observed the staff diligently making my coffee. I walked around and noticed they served Counter Culture coffee, and started to have a conversation with the staff about how I have had this practical roasters coffee before; and was happy that they are serving a high quality coffee! After he was done brewing, I inquired about other similar coffee shops in the Sarasota area. Both staff avidly explained about the other coffee shops in the area that they like to visit, and gave me some great recommendations! Over all the coffee was brewed correctly to bring out the tasting notates they describe to me, and the friendliness of the staff made me feel welcomed, being that I am only visiting for a short while in town!If you are looking for crafted coffee, and a mellow friendly atmosphere I highly recommend this place and will be stopping by again in the future!

HAPPY SATURDAY!Its the perfect day to stroll over to The Overton and visit Varietal Coffee Bar for one of their fabulous coffees, teas, or other creative drinks.I have become obsessed with the cereal latte. The cereal is steeped in milk for 24 hrs to enhance the flavor. I expected it to be sweet, but I assure you its not. Its a perfect creation.I was so excited when I saw the current feature is Cookie Crisp Cereal! HOoRaY!! ❤️🍪❤️🍪❤️🍪❤️

Love this spot for coffee, tea, and pastries. Great place to sit outside and enjoy the weather for a bit. Someone mentioned the music being loud, which I have never noticed in over a year of going here. Buy a bag of coffee and take it home, they’ll grind it to whatever machine you use.

Absolutely delicious pour over coffee with a healthy variety of beans to choose from. Specialty drinks are interesting and as good as they sound.

It is a great coffee shop, the reason Im not giving it 5 stars is because I really wish they would turn the music down. Due to everyone working remotely now, people come here to work and its very hard to have a phone call or zoom meeting without the person on the other line complaining about the background music.

The environment is cute and modern. However, the coffee and service was disappointing. We explained how it was our first time there, and the barista was not helpful or welcoming. The coffee menu was vague and didn’t show what syrups and milks they had. I saw cereal coffees on social media, but that wasn’t highlighted or explained in the shop. My iced lavender latte was sour, and the caramel latte tasted burnt which we are crediting to the beans used. We couldn’t finish the drinks even though they were pricey. I would not recommend.

Our favorite coffee bar! During our staff meetings, we love to pick up a half gallon of the The Green (matcha with lavender + honey) for our team. Everyone loves it. The treats they have from Mana Bakery are a delight too! Oh and, their cereal milk lattes are simply genius.

Cool small local business and Evan is very knowledgable about coffee and teas. They offer a hot cup to enjoy there or you can take it home and brew it. However you like it, he can make it!

My experience at Overton was great. The overall vibe is cute and minimalistic. The caramel latte was made perfect with artwork on top. I will say the chai teas are not the best I have ever had. This hole in the wall coffee bar in Sarasota is quality and I would recommend.

Amazing selection of coffee and TEA! Its so hard to find a shop that makes tea properly, this is it. Evan is top notch and really knows his stuff. I highly reccomend stopping in for a drink when youre in the area. Its the best coffee & tea shop in Sarasota!

Finding local gems like Varietal is rare! The quality of the coffee and products are top notch! The vibe is inviting and Evan, Kristen and Syd are warm and welcoming!
