Staff here was super helpful, nice, and they actually had the gun I wanted! Ended up purchasing a Springfield XD-9. Definitely recommend purchasing from them because they do answer all your questions to make sure you get what you want.

FANTASTIC place to shop. If you are newer to the gun world this is your store. They do all they can to educate and help you with what you need or may think you need. Its rare these days to go into a gun store with multiple folks working all with the same attitude of positive help. Great guys to deal with!! All of them. I have been their twice now and I live 90 minutes away but will always go there for my needs. They make a difference.

It is hard for me to give anything supporting our second amendment anything less than 5 stars, but I recently bought a brand new 44 mag revolver from here that had cracked hand guards. I realize this is partially my fault for not noticing when buying, but some blame also has to be put on the store for allowing it to be sold as New.On a side note this store tends to have a larger selection than most. Especially if you are looking for a smith. The man who stocks the shelves has to have a fetish for smith revolvers, but then so do I.Also there is an awesome employee that works here named, Seth, who went above and beyond to help my wife with her paperwork and is the main reason I feel a little sideways about writing a bad review.I will probably still be a customer here, but will be a lot more careful inspecting what I purchase.

Tried to walk in, they told me to wait outside, as they were at capacity. Cool, no problem. I watched three people come out, tried to walk back in, once again got told to wait outside. No capacity control, for the whole 5 seconds I was in the store I saw no staff members wearing masks. No comment on items in stock.

I love going to this place. The general manager, Gene, always helps me out and answers any questions I have. They even match prices from other local stores if you bring a valid flyer; which I do often since I would much rather give them my business. I have purchased a few firearms from them now both from their store and on their online site for pick up when they had an online sale. They have a huge selection and their staff are very knowledgeable. They are my go-to guns and ammo.

These guys are so cool. I showed up looking for some 5.7 ammo, which they did not have but assisted me in finding a way to get what I needed. They had great customer service and were very friendly, so I asked them if they wouldnt mind helping me with a new sling for my rifle that I had just purchased but couldnt figure out. They stayed after their posted closing hours to help me, and even noticed that I had incorrectly mounted my scope - and fixed that! All along the way giving me great pointers in everything from how to correctly hold the rifle stance, how to set up my sling depending on what I needed, and insightful answers on some of my gear questions. They never even expected that I was still there to make a purchase, since they didnt have what I came in for - they were just down to help. Rest assured theyre my go to spot for everything in SD from now on.

The first initial guy (stocky fellow)that helped my wife and I was awesome. He helped us get something we both can comfortably usw. The second guy was dry, customer service is always key. Ive gotten almost three guns from this place And nearly every time They make you buy a gun lock from them.. Even if you have Gun safes at home Even if you have multiple gun locks that youve never even Used. The unknowledgeable Employees at this store Wont do anything but cost you more money..Another incident January 2021 These people Literally Will sell your items from their Website that they dont even have With no information about items being on backorder or anything like that I ordered something in December After Black Friday Still no update I call in They tell me Its on backorder and if they dont get it before 60 days then I can get my money back with no fees attached Basically holding my Money until They get it or whatever. Absolutely ridiculous And still wont return my emails ..Order Number 4792

Shout out to Gene who calmly, politely, and professionally helped me with processing a return today. Things are unsettled with the pandemic and many people are easily upset. Despite all of this, he took great care of me as though I was the only customer he was seeing all day.

I recently purchased one firearm from them. Great selection of pistols. It has best price in town and will match the price with other stores. The people there are just simply friendly and helpful. Seth and Gene are great guys. I will definitely come back for another purchase next time.

Purchased 2 firearms from the store today. Springfield XD9 compact and M&P 15-22 sports. Looking for these two from many gun shops in North county but cannot find any, surprisingly got both them here today!!! People work here are kind and helpful. There is a little bit waiting time due to CoVID 19 but total took me only about 45 minutes from walk in to out. And most important, the PRICE is much cheaper. My friend got an XD9 sub-compact for $549 and here only coast $479.

Place has a nice selection of stuff aand last 2 times ive been there had no trouble finding anything. I picked up 2 10 rd GLOCK mags and speed loader last time there. The staff comes across rude each time I come there and now with covid precautions the seem even worse.

They have forever lost my business. I bought my wife a Ladys Smith 357 at the Costa Mesa gun show and of course its busy and we were passed off several times to various people until we finally got all the paperwork done. Id say I took about an hour from start to finish. Now the wait is on. The reason for the purchase was we were planning a range day trip of about eight friends up to some property in Campo and we were really excited to try out this new pistol. We had plenty of time to get the gun since we cod pick it up after the ten day hold. We get it Tuesday and we can get a new holster and a few other things so she can be comfortable with her new gun. Ten days comes and goes so we jump in the car and drive up to the Mira Mar store but when we get there they cant find the gun. Actually they cant even find the paperwork let alone the almost $800 gun. So about 40 minutes later we get the Ill call you tomorrow line. Well tomorrow comes and goes and still nothing. I waited another day and still got nothing. I call back and nobody knows what going on with the missing gun and paperwork. Well of course Im not real happy with the lack of customer service and so I start calling the other branches to try and get ahold of a manage or regional manager that can get me some answers. No one can help so I call the San Diego branch again and got some really nice guy that seemed to care and he promised me that someone would call me right away. That was the best service I received from this company. About five minutes later I got some guy with an attitude and very unapologetic call me and say he was the general manager. He said they were shorthanded and they didnt know were the gun was because it never got unloaded from the Costa Mesa gun show. He said all the paperwork was fine and the background check was good but the gun was sent to the Las Vegas Shot show. How does this happen? Yeah, just short handed, not sorry? Not what I wanted to hear. I get a call back from the one guy that was helpful and asked if I wanted to cancel the transaction but Id eat the almost $40 that goes to the state so I said no. He told me he would have the gun Monday and Id get a call when it came in. Of course we didnt get to take it to range day so theres that, and wouldnt you know it, no call on Monday. I finally called on Tuesday and had to explain everything again to the guy on the phone and he said bummer. Well yeah this has been a major bummer. My wife picked up the gun on Thursday since she was in the area and they offered her a 10% discount on ammo when she was there. Thats not how you fix this colossal screw up on your part. I was warned by several of my friends that have had their own bad experiences with ammo bros but I made the mistake of not listening. Listen to this, I will never use ammo bros again. One star for the guy that helped, thanks dude.

My son and I were looking for a store close to my office, what a refreshing visit. We have cringed going into most gun stores in North County where I live. for 47 years Ive been in and out of gun shops trying to find one that appreciates someones business, rather than they are doing you a favor.This is the place. Super helpful purchasing accessories that fit our weapons and the simple mods we have to them and fit them. No issues exchanging items and the prices are really reasonable. Came in today and been told good things about this place thought Id give it a try. I needed some parts for builds and I ended up buying $200+ of gear. My issue comes with the customer service I received from Adam. He didnt care too much to help out get stuff behind the counter he was more worried about hanging out with his buddy rather than help me out and I was the only one in the store. He proceeded to give attitude when I was checking the stuff out. Prices are on the higher side but have a decent selection just wouldnt recommend or come back due to customer service.

Service was great , I was asked multiple times if I needed any assistance so there was always someone willing to help, The selection of arms here was great one of the larger ones I have seen. Prices are all fair especially on ammo which there was a wide assortment of.

I purchased a Springfield 1911 trp at this location. The pistol is great, but when I looked up what comes with a new trp pistol its suppose to have its own hard case they gave me a bag case, suppose to have 3 clips only had 2 and the price was over 1300 dollars to not get everything it comes with ,they have a good selection but they had to know about the case and bag. Not cool.

Had the absolute pleasure of being referred to this store in my hunt for a semi-difficult long rifle I have drooling to buy. The entire staff was friendly, very helpful, and professional through the 10 day process. The store is clean, decently stocked, and carries a respectable inventory of firearms. Some of there items such as grips, bags, and even ammo can be found online at or just below there pricing. Even if it is lower online, depending on shipping its sometimes better to buy in store, especially locally. The reason for the 4-stars is I was planning on purchasing my rifle using my Amex for a few different reasons, and unfortunately they do not accept amex. This wouldve been nice knowing this before completing my paper work. However the girl at the front, Summer I think her name was picked up the phone and dialed up the owner who authorized some arraignments to ensure I left a happy customer. Will I return, you betcha!

Very nice store with lots of firearms and other inventory. Ive been inside twice on weekday afternoons and things were mostly quiet. Staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. I purchased a handgun on their website and received an email the following day indicating they had the unit in another store. This meant they already had the serial number and I could start the DROS process immediately. The salesman was very knowledgeable and stepped me through the DROS and informed me of my precise pick-up date and time. Ten days later, I picked-up the handgun and was very happy with the entire process there. No more getting wait numbers at Turners feeling like Im at the DMV. Ammo Bros is definitely my go-to store from now on.
