I would add more reviews on top of my earlier 5 star rating. This ACE store is so friendly and they have more stuff they you might imaging. Staff like Colin are so helpful. I have since been there multiple times this year. Last time I was looking for a bolt set to match my car roof rack and I am glad staff Colin and other employees helped me very patiently to get it finally working! I definitely would go back when there is an issue. Suggest to other folks: You dont have drive another 10 miles to go to Home Depot, this store could serve you better and check with them first!

Nice store. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Pretty much a little bit of everything here as a smaller hardware store should be. Needed to get a conversion kit to run a 20lb propane on my portable Coleman grill. I was helped and they had the tank ready for me in all under fifteen minutes. Much preferable to the big box stores and way closer to home.

Great fast service in the paint dept today! Needed a gallon of paint. Went to Sherwin Williams nearby and waited on line. Only one worker and after a wait told no paint available for my needs. Ace took me right away and processed my request immediately. WOW! Loving ACE! My go to place from now on for paint!!!

For twenty years Ive been coming to this store as it is the closest to my home. However, nearly every time I walk out, I ask myself why I shop there. Nearly every item is more expensive than Home Depot. However, they are part of ACE Hardware and as a result send out coupons regularly via US Post. However, you have to bring in the hardcopy of the coupon. They have my phone number and I have to provide it with every transaction. However, they dont put the two together. If you have my phone, you really should to know youve sent me a coupon. Why burden me with remembering it and bringing it to the store?Well, today I went to the store (with a coupon) and the gal who rang me up said we dont honor that coupon for this purchase (C02 containers). I asked why and she said I already get a discount on each container. That seemed reasonable to me until I got home and looked at the receipt. The discount was a return deposit on the containers I brought back to the store not a coupon. I still paid full price.

Great store, awesome staff. Been working on various home projects and their folks are always friendly, helpful and know their stuff. For not being a huge store Im amazed how much they fit in there -- and theyve always had what I needed.

I love this store! Just picked up a brand new Weber natural gas grill. They assembled it and delivered it for no charge. Now that is service!

Ace Hardware is a great place to pick up odds and ends for home projects. Been shopping here for 30 years and they have always had exceptional customer service. Their screw, nut, bolt hardware section is second only to Marshalls Hardware off Miramar Road. This Ace can be a pricier than Home Dopo and Lowes, but its worth it in my humble opinion to support the small hardware stores of America. Good job Ace!

Recently moved into the neighborhood and I just love this store. Everyone on their staff is helpful, friendly, knowledgable, and actually cares about the customer. And their stock is surprisingly complete and varied. Whoever is running the shop really knows what theyre doing. Ill never drive to Home Depot or Lowes again...

Good local store for DIY parts but they do have a limited selection verses the bigger box stores.The do have a really good supply of Big Green Egg accessories and charcoal which is not easy to find normally.

Small sized store, however had a variety of hardware and gardening supplies. Was able to find some gravel for my plants other stores didnt have and was cheaper than online. Store is also taking covid precautions.

I had a very bad experience with this store last week. Not polite, rude, not appropriate service from old women, the person who stayed in the middle of store and manager.This service made me unhappy for a long time, that I decided to reject my purchase there. I do mot understand how it possible to keep there so kind of people.

Wish I knew about this location and store, has things that the big stores didnt even have despite their size, Aaron and his team were very helpful, definitely my go to hardware store from now on.

This is my local hardware store, and I am very happy with the service and attention here. I love it much more than any of the other competitors. For some obscure reason, I am always having plumbing problems in my house. It’s always something different. I go straight there, go to the second floor, and there’s a gentleman there that always helps me. The guy is so knowledgeable, and he tells me exactly what I need to do and what pieces to buy. I am literally in and out within five minutes with all the knowledge I need and the parts I need and I make the fixes myself.

Can no longer call itself a hardware store as of the recent redesign. Less tools, less hardware, random knick knacks, and for some reason they are selling clothes? If it just presented itself as a home and garden store that would be fine, but its supposed to be a hardware store serving the local area. The automotive section has been gutted and the upstairs plumbing area has been shrunk down as well. For an actual hardware store its best to go to Marshalls hardware off Miramar.

They got what I need when I need it. A little pricey but it beats driving far to Home Depot

First, yes the parking is bad during lunch rush. However, Nick helped me cut a new key for my Camaro and programmed the new Key Fob into the car. I was in and out in under 20 minutes, including time we looked at landscape lights for my backyard. So dont drop $240 at the dealer for a new key/fob, go to Ace. Nick was super helpful on the phone and in person. He is a great employee and I hope they treat him good ;)

I literally cant express enough how easy and pleasant it is to shop at Ace Hardware. The staff is easily the most helpful staff in any store Ive been to, one moment you ask where something is and then the next youre walking out happy and with the stuff you needed. The store is very organized itself and you wont have any trouble finding what you need (unless its not hardware-related whatsoever or youre too shy to ask for help if needed😂)

Tldr: cashiers dont pay attention and will accuse you of trying to steal.Went with a coworker to buy hardware for a business project.My coworker was buying things for the business while I purchased some drinks for myself separately. I finished paying first so I went to my coworker to see what was taking so long.When he finished paying, I started to walk away with the drinks in my hand. The cashier, Lisa, was so focused on me not paying for my drinks, she said, you going to pay for those?It was obvious from her tone that she wasnt joking. She waited for me to pull out my receipt to show her before she tried to play it off like a joke. She didnt even hand over the tools we had purchased until we reminded her.The associates in the back were very knowledgeable and helpful, but during checkout, I literally was accused of trying to steal two drinks.Hey Lisa, next time youre not sure, try saying something like, I can help you with your purchase.

I love ACE hdw but 60% of the reason is the personal service. When I walk in I am greeted and taken to the area and given solutions to my problems. That is what makes you relevant or more important than the big box stores. I drove past two of them to get to your place. Your Cashier gets a 5****

Not to be a cliche, but these guys really are the helpful hardware folks! I have been there many times but yesterday confirmed for me the quality of their customer service. Marni was the best. In a minor social emergency, I came in looking for something obscure that I doubted Ace would even carry. Although that was true, Marni walked me to two other stores helping me find it. Thanks!!

Called regarding an unusual item. Quick answer and check of the shelf complete with price quote. Appreciated the friendly service so will pay the extra dollar more and buy from Griffin Ace.

Simple fact is follow the law for key copies. Under California law it does not matter if someone writes do not copy. You have to accept a waiver of liability and are required to make copies. Dont make up your own rules.

We live pretty far (about 20 minutes) from any large home improvement center. So having an Ace right next to us is amazing. They usually have everything I need and are very helpful. Also super happy they started carrying Big Green Egg Accessories.

Remember,back in the olden days when you could go into a store and get some help?And not from someone who acts like theyd rather be someplace else...the very small savings you would receive at the big box is easily offset by the extra time and gas required.

The people who work here are incredibly friendly, I really hope they get paid well. It is a bit pricier than Home Depot and the store is smaller, but its closer than Carmel Mountain or Clairemont to go to Home Depot. The people actually know what theyre talking about too and dont mind chatting for 15 minutes to make sure youve got everything you need.

This location is uniquely far from Home Depot, so if you need a few stainless steel metric hex-head screws, this is your place.The store packs a whole lot of items into their space.Pricing, however, is across the board. Most things are only a little higher than Home Depot/Lowes, but others are absurdly high. Do your research, and figure out if its worth driving further. Or, most often, not.
