Very disappointed. This Party City has been around for as long as I can remember and I enjoyed coming here. It USE to be so organized, clean and had friendly staff. My past experiences here have been terrible. Today, during the approximate time frame of 5:00pm - 5:30pm was the last straw. I went to look for a dog costume to possibly purchase for my little maltipoo dog. I found one and then was standing in line waiting to pay for her costume. She had barked once and one of the employees from behind the register came to me in line and told me I could not have the animal in store. I was standing in line with at least six customers and no one had complained about my animal. ****Additionally, there was NO sign posted at the storefront that service animals or pets were not allowed AND there was even a separate employee standing by the door who saw me walk in with my animal and did not say a thing to me that I could not bring her in. Party City, please review your cameras in store for today from 5:00pm - 5:30pm time frame. I had also researched the Party City website and there is no current verbiage as of 10.30.21 that animals whether service dog or pets were not allowed in store.I highly suggest training your staff on store policies. The customer service of Party City *Carmel Mountain Ranch location* has significantly decreased through the years and my experience today at this is just one of the many instances. This location has lost a long-time customer.

Hardly had any scary decorations for decorationing the outside of our house.I know its close to Halloween but I have been looking All around town for the past month and havent found anything cool to add to.our collection

This is store pretty great. I was in a few weeks ago though and I saw their supply seemed to be on the low end, everyone I think is struggling with this though. They never answer the phone. It is in a great location though.

Their employees have zero customer service skills… rude and obviously hate being there. A heavier older lady in particular. Extremely rude lady.

They always have the party theme I am looking for. Great selection of anything & everything for parties. This is the best place to get helium balloons...tons of selection and prices are better than the grocery store.

Clean store stocked full of party goodies. Nice staff and no wait time. The guy helped me with balloons and did a nice job. They are fully stocked with Halloween decorations. 🎃

Again I would not suggest going there before a holiday weekend it was crazy jam packed I was in and out in 45 minutes just for one item

Provided the giraffe balloon I needed. I went when it wasnt busy so there was no waiting or anything. Was in and out in less than 5 minutes.

I always find more party stuff than I originally set out for. When I come to Party City I feel like there is endless possibilities. I also like to just look at everything.

I asked someone if they had cheap wigs and he pointed to the wall of wigs. Turned a corner and there was a sale rack of $1 and $5 wigs. Happy I happened to find them on my own.

Very slow service, prices are okay but could be better, well stocked for most party citys, good selection of items.

As its Halloween season, shop is filled with full of costumes. I couldnt able to get any birthday party themes.

Terrible experience. 4 people filling balloons and 1 person working the register. Employees complaining loudly about not getting their required breaks.

Made a special trip looking for birthday decor, and was so disappointed. Most of the aisles had empty shelves, and staff had no idea when they would be getting new shipments in to restock.

I think Covid is causing them staffing shortages.

Events are back and party city has survived the no gathering of 2020. Support them this year decorate with party city

Absolutely no selection. Many of the aisles were completely empty and the same with the balloons. We had to keep asking and FINALLY he told us what ones the DID have. It was frustrating.

Was shopping at Party City Carmel Mountain Rd location and was approached by a rude female associate who came up to me and said Just so you know, youre not allowed to use reusable bags here. I was puzzled and caught off-guard as I was checking my phone when she approached me. I replied, what reusable bag? This one? Thats my purse. She then said, oh. And walked off. No greeting. No apology for her accusatory approach. Nothing. Beyond rude.

Went in for party decorations for my son. Just wanted a simple mylar birthday balloon. Picked a number off the wall, employee said they didnt have it. Picked another, didnt have it again. So I asked what they did have but she was lazy and didnt check. She just said to pick another one, so I did. Guess what, they didnt have it. Neither was I, so we left.

Always find what I’m looking for for themed parties and gatherings.

Went to return a item and both staff members were not friendly, the manager was even worse!! Rudest person I’ve ever met. No one seemed happy to be there. Was very pleasant towards them but now wish I wasn’t. Worst staff ever !!!!!

Have lots of things. So many themed items. Was looking for more generic stuff. If you celebrate Halloween, which I dont, there is soooo much.

I must have come at a bad time. It was a Saturday and pretty busy, but they were fully staffed, just very disorganized and super unhelpful when asked for help. During my transaction the person helping me was pulled away in the middle of blowing up my balloon bouquet to have a different person finish the job. They didnt use all the balloons I purchased and forgot the weight. Then as I walked out a balloon was already losing air so I had to walk back in and have it redone. I was in that store for close to 40 minutes and I felt so frazzled, frustrated, and anxious I couldnt wait to get outta there.

Good customer service, crews were helpful /very informative and welcoming.

Its a great place for anything that you might need for an event. Birthday, wedding, baby shower, etc. We got some decorations for a friends birthday party. They have a ton of choices and great prices. Highly recommend this place.

Too many customers and too few staff today. Took over a half hour to pick up balloons that were ready and had been pre-paid for. Worst was that other customers were very angry and complaining... :-(

They were out of every balloon for birthdays... the lady just kept asking us to pick another while not trying to help at all... we finally just gave up and left. It was a pretty bizarre experience.

Some stuff is more expensive than some other places. Good costume selection for Halloween. Sometimes the staff working there is not so costumer oriented.

They have everything you could ever possibly want or need for a party. But man, they are expensive! Purchased a few helium balloons here and walked out $60 gone! But if you are looking for party needs, they do provide them. And for a one time event the investment could be worth it for you!

Horrible customer service from the supervisor. She basically kicked me out of the store along with other two customers. She kept screaming that it was time to close however there were still approximately 15 mins before closing time. Some of the staff is nice but some of them are not very welcoming and make you feel like they are doing you a favor by helping you.

Usually I found all items for any event, costumes, party items, balloons, etc. I recommend visit this place days before your celebration day, because last minute you could find a lot of people.

I experienced excellent service at this Party City store (June 2019).I had a complicated transaction and they were very accommodating.They went above and beyond. I feel lucky to live close to this store location.

Party City has a good selection of party and party theme items to choose from. Good selection of balloons. Note helium balloons last for about 6-8 hours but for a small fee the can add something for them to last up to 24 hes. Parking is a challenge on weekends and special holidays.

Great selection of Halloween costumes! And the after hours opening times are great for a relax experience.

Awful pickup experience during the quarantine. I placed the order for balloon pick up at the carmel Mountain ranch location a day before pick up and called the morning of to confirm the order is ready. Although they confirmed its ready, I was stuck waiting half an hour with no one else waiting because they only helium filled one balloon instead of looking that the total amount on order for a dozen.

Daughter and I stopped in to look at Halloween costumes. Some were posted on their wall, but they were not yet available. This location is also pretty small, but in a pinch, would get the job done.

Waited 15 minutes for a balloon to be filled. Saw only two employees, one at the register, one filling balloons, absolutely ridiculous with as busy and as big as this company is. To top it off they do not carry 18th Birthday anything, how is this age not a milestone, they are legally at adulthood, blew me away. Never again, waste of time.

Regular employee there are not helpful. 4-5 behind the counter but only 1 person on a register or even acknowledging people. Seasonal help have been nicer and more helpful. Fire the regular staff and replace with the seasonal crew.

I was looking for decorations for a retirement dinner, and the gal that helped me was just great... Wish I had got her name. The place is under construction but all the products are still there and the staff is friendly Ill go there again.

Ive never had an unfavorable experience here. Even when they dont have what I need, the staff has always been friendly. Theres a manager (maybe a shift manager) who is always willing to help and answer questions.This shopping center is under construction so parking can a bit tricky and at times annoying.One suggestion, pre order your balloon purchase. Theyll have them ready for you and they do a great job.

Well organization store, friendly staff but pricing a bit off. Some items are cheaper in the party city website and vice versa.

Terrible service by both ladies working here on August 5th evening shift.One was a manager.

Great party items. However, we had bought mylar balloons and told me at this location they dont weigh them down. I thought this was funny because every other Party City weighs them down and even Dollar Tree and the 99 Cent Store weigh them down. Instead of adding the proper weights, the manager came out and said this is what Ive been told by the owners and we are a franchise. He kept repeating how hes only worked there for 3 months. I dont fault him at all. They should have done the right thing and added the proper weights so the balloons dont float away.

I had ordered balloons for high school graduation a week in advance and pick up was a breeze.

This party city is a bit bigger than the others in san diego... they have a lot of sections pretty sure youll find what you looking for.

The store is still open, but the parking lot can be a challenge to find a spot during times.

They could use a little more staff. We came in the morning (thankfully) to get balloons and it took a while because everyone else needed balloons, so most of the staff was filling balloons rather than cashing out.

Lots of variety. Took a while to find what I needed because employees would rather tell me the aisle than show me. But they were busy. I understand.

Great selection of party items and costumes. Usually feels under staffed but the employees are all friendly and helpful. Many choices for balloons but they can be quite expensive for something that deflates in a day or two.

There is no chance in hell that you will get help here but its not a bad store. Its filled with cheap stuff that is good for parties :D But it is a normal party city. I wish it was filled with people to help look for things but its whatever.

Brought my own anchors & balloons in to be inflated, 99 cents per balloon - done in less than 20 minutes (there were only a few people in line)! Pleased with my experience at Party City 🙂 Note, the plaza is under construction right now but Party City, BevMo & Baskin Robbins are still open for business.

I will say this location up on Carmel Mountain in San Diego has one of the best selections Ive seen in a long time very impressed with the customer service and I enjoyed my experience

Found birthday cards, graduation, sympathy, cards and ballons for every occasion and even custom ballons that say whatever you want them to say (Congratulations on your divorce!). TONs of candies! Wrapping paper, birthday themed paper plates and cups and napkins. Hard to leave without buying something.

No one ever wants to help at this location. They immediately answer with a no. No is the only answer I have ever gotten from this party City. NO NO NO.For Example: Today I asked if they had more of a hat I had found or something similar. Cashier instantly said no. So I said, Wow, no one likes to help in this store. His response was, If I wasnt a cashier today I would help you. ---- I was one of 3 guests in the entire store..... with a multitude of employees. Poor Service, Poor Management, & Poor Attitudes.

Party decorations, some costumes, pretty normal party store. I am completely confused why they wouldnt have themed gift bags. I can get every decoration under the sun for a Batman/Star wars/my little pony/Jurassic Park themed party but if I get my kid a gift I have to go to Target and pray they have a bag that fits the theme instead of getting one at the same place I got every other themed party thing? It seems like an obvious thing to have in this store.

Jennifer is the absolute worst. She is rude and completely incompetent. She overloaded a plastic bag, handed it over the counter with a huge tear. I asked for another bag, which she handed over-but with attitude. I am sure this place would be out of business if there was any alternatives in the area.

Let me first say that this particular Party City is the messiest Ive been in, and they have the worst return policy Ive ever run across. That.s the big reason Ive given the service poor, I had purchased a Halloween costume last year, walked outside the store, my phone rang and the friend who was hosting the party had been taken to the hospital. I sent my Boyfriend back in to return them immediately, while I stayed on the phone, and all he could get was store credit, and oddly they has divided the $200+ purchase into multiple smaller credits...whatever, didnt question it then, I had to get to the hospital. So over the year as Ive had to keep track of these multiple pieces of paper and use them I find out they wont redeem a partial credit, so you use it completely or loose the balance...thats how they were doing us a favor in dividing it up. Seriously ridiculous and by the last two I wanted to redeem I had enough. I had party supplies to bt that totaled 1 and 1/2 of the two credits I had left. They suggested I used one and paid cash for the balance so I didnt loose 1/2 my credit...I was quite tired of this game of making me spend more and asked to see a supervisor,,,was given a 20 minute run around until I remembered I had Legal Shield and calmly pulled out my card...usually reserved for police, and sweetly said Im done arguing, Im calling my attorney, Magically a different manager came out from the end of the counter and I finally received a cash refund.

Has some cool stuff but it can get pricey depending on the items
