Its a high end cosmetic place , my wife loves it .The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful , i thought so . SO if you ever go to the famous UTC shopping center off of La Jolla Village Drive right there off of 805 freeway drop in an ck it out. Guys too like me . I got some stuff for under my eyes , very nice !!

******Paris was amazing******I’m not good with makeup and kinda of a lost pup. Paris was so patient and showed me a couple of brands. With all the Covid safety measures she was able color match new foundation and concealer using a small clear plastic board. Wow! It was an enjoyable shopping experience. I will definitely be back to that store and ask for Paris😀

This was my Sephora store for a very long time. I got an online order pick up. But I bought one eye palette, when I opened the box, insides was not what I ordered. So basically I got the right package, but the wrong item inside.

I love wandering sephora. I dont really wear a lot of make up but I enjoy the smell of the place and the colors. And I love a good perfume. Its a bit high price but its fun to look at.

It says open till 10pm. Drove 20 minutes from work to catch up with them before they close so I can pick up something for my wife. Got there at 9:25. The lights were on but they locked the doors already. Not sure if the managers knew that the employees are closing before time.Not cool.

I go here to get cologne & perfume. I really like how many employees are available to help. I like how an employee always checks if I need help. I think they have good customer service. I didnt give a 5 star only because I get overwhelmed with all of the displays. I always feel like I am squeezing through the isles.

I reached Rouge status and went in for a custom makeover before a night out. It was raining and busy (its a long holiday weekend). KYLA did my makeup and it was great! I never felt rushed or pressed for time. She pays a lot of attention to me and we had a friendly conversation about products that would work best on my skin type. My face looked flawless and the look was a natural glam. I specifically enjoyed the mix of eyeshadow palettes she used to create my soft glam look. The appointment went well over 45 min and I received many compliments! Im definitely going back for more custom makeovers with KYLA!

Ive been here multiple times but my worst experience was when I was trying to claim my birthday gift. The lady helping me was very rude and you could tell she didnt want to be there. Sephora is also a bit pricey but customer service could definitely be improved.

Ive been going into sephora for about 3 years now and this is the first time a sales associate didnt make me feel like another sale or trying to make me spend money on products I dont need or asked about. NATE was amazing he knew his makeup, the brand where the product was made everything and anything. His knowledge was really impressive, especially the vocabulary he used to complement the product.

Lindsey from Makeup Forever spent a lot of time with me. She was very engaging and explained each of the products that she was using and why they would be good choices for me. She travels to different locations representing her brand. She lives in Los Angeles and drove down to University Town Center to work in the Sephora in La Jolla. I really appreciate the fact that Sephora brings in professionals that represent particular brands.

Its really a hit or miss. The second to last time I was here I had an employee steal my credit card information while I was waiting on my friend to come up to the register, she took a cab from La Jolla UTC all the way to LA and back. I only carry cash on me when I come out here now. My latest experience the only reason why this place is getting any stars I had two lovely women help me color match and showed me some newer products and gave me details about different products and their ingredients. Every other time I have come in I have had to make several returns because I was not properly color matched. So thankfully these two ladies work here now :)

This location has been very welcoming and helpful. When going to Ulta I struggle to find help, but at Sephora they are eager to help you and are very knowledgeable. I came here looking to get some better skincare products for fighting acne and an employee there showed me exactly what I needed. Bonus is that the products already cleared up my acne significantly the next day so they must know what they are talking about. :)

One of my favorite Sephoras in California; the staff knows me by name and I cannot get over how sweet and helpful each and everyone of them is. They always treat me good plus they give me incredible tips and tricks for being new to makeup. Id give them ten stars if I could.

Ive gone in twice and bought over $100 of stuff both times. First time no one offered to help, I was completely overlooked. Second time I proactively asked for help and I was passed on to another person who seemed terribly annoyed to be given to them. I rather pay the shipping fee now then to drive there to be exposed to such horrible customer service. Some advice for the staff there, if you do not enjoy working with people find another job and if you do not know about the products youre selling do you research.

Reached VIB status and went in to use my free makeover before a black tie holiday party. It was busy and crazy (its the holidays) but the employee that did my makeup was great and paid a lot of attention to me! My face looked flawless and the look was perfect for the party. Im a big Sephora shopper, both online and brick and mortar, but this is my least liked location. For one, the employees are not very friendly at all, nor to they approach you for help: I had to chase someone down, and then got put on a list to get color matched to foundation. The employee grabbed two shades of foundation and put them directly onto my face.This doesnt sound so bad, but then she put it OVER MY EXISTING MAKEUP. She rubbed my old primer, foundation, highlighter, and blush all around with the new makeup added to my face. I brought it up to her and she said it was fine, which it really wasnt but Im not going to argue at this point. To make things worse, she didnt even blend them in at all: it was obviously streaky, the color was wrong on both (maybe due to all the other makeup mixed in? who knows) , and she didnt even offer makeup remover to take the makeup off so I had to go track another associate down to get some. This is very different than any other Sephora Ive went to, as they have a pretty clear foundation swatching process. They usually ask if you have makeup on, take off old makeup, add the new makeup, you check in the mirror, and then they give you remover if it doesnt match: its an intuitive process, and one Im shocked didnt get followed. Its made especially worse because I brought up the fact she was putting it over existing makeup myself and I was told that its fine. I dont wear that much makeup when Im out shopping so maybe she thought I was inexperienced and just skipped steps, or maybe she wasnt trained properly.In addition, a good portion of the testers are severely damaged or missing. The NARSissist Wanted Eyeshadow Palette was straight-up missing, some of the NARS lip crayons were totally used up or were in dire need of sharpening but still sitting in their spots, and the Glow Recipe Watermelon lotion was either empty or white in color (I own it, it should be bright pink). The cotton rounds for taking off makeup were also not in their normal locations, so you have to go ask a sales associate which isnt really a big deal, sometimes it takes a while to refill things, but its annoying.

I’ve had similar experiences like the previous 2 post. Last time I️ was in on a weekday between 5pm-6pm. It wasn’t even super busy and still stood around for about 10 minutes in not moving in front of the same display waiting for someone to ask me to help me see if there was more stock. When someone finally came to help it was for a brief minute and she never even bothered to ask if I️ needed anything else. Seriously the worst customer service of any Sephora store I’ve been to. The next week I️ went to a Sephora inside a Jcpenny and was treated like gold.

Pretty bummed by the level of service. I stood around looking needy in full hungry-eyes mode, trying to discreetly flag someone down for easily ten minutes. Then when I bucked up and finally directly voiced my pleas to someone, she pretty much sped walked away from me, with someone scurrying behind her to explain she probably hadnt heard me. Sure dude. Whatever you say. Even if it was total baloney, I was appreciative that at least someone was making an effort.Having worked in that industry for 6+ years, I know that that pretty much just doesnt happen. Where you simply dont hear someone. As a customer service professional, youre trained to always be scanning, to stay alert, and to be actively listening. Folks that havent figured that out are either noobs (and she was clearly very seasoned) or about to get fired. - - Or maybe Sephoras training just kind of sucks in that regard and is about four decades behind everyone elses... Iono.But in any case, point is the chick just couldnt be bothered. Not really sure what was going on there, too, because they even had a manager or something on the floor going around and conducting what looked to be some kind of employee interviews, and both parties involved were just totally oblivious to the overall scene. I was pretty shocked.Anyway, the good Samaritan worker eventually managed to cajole the selectively deaf one into helping me, but even that interaction was cool, harried, stilted and almost begruding. The store was clean, smallish, easy to hunt stuff down... But the staffing situation just made it a really off-putting experience for me. Between certain staff members themselves and then the dearth of staff in general, Im not sure Ill be heading back to that location too soon. They need to implement a ticketing system or something. Thank goodness for online shopping, anyway...

I love Sephora, The products, their promotions, the store atmosphere, most of their employees are super nice and friendly. I have been to this store for many times and I love most of people who work in here. Many of them are professional and nice. But today, I met someone who made me felt so bad......This is for that lady who works in here, i don’t remember her name but I only remember she is a ,young and pretty but not a nice girl. She was so rude!!!!! DURING THE 20% off Rouge, she didn’t know how to put the discount on it, then I asked her do I got my 20% off? She said yes, she also said if you wanna know I can ask my manager,then she asked her manager. Her manager said she didn’t give me the 20%off, then she got mad to me. EXCUSE ME??? How could u get mad to ur customer because u didn’t know how to do ur job? After she got mad, she directly throw the items that I bought in my paper bags, and turn around to talk to other employees. Ignored me ........If you don’t wanna work in here, why not go somewhere instead to let someone who is more friendly to work in here? I’m pretty friendly, i also want to work in this cosmetic industry, and she reminded me never do this way to my future clients. Her attitude was the worse,,,,,,maybe the worst staff in the Sephora of the whole nation that I have met. She is pretty and young, but she needs to change her attitude in working position.
