Rite-Aid has is all - for pharmacy needs. I am always amazed at the huge variety of cosmetic items that these stores have in stock.This store has a large variety of sundry and food items. It is well organized and clean. The household items are not up to the quality that I usually in this area.

**This review is primarily regarding the pharmacy located within the store**I honestly wish I could leave a 0/5. I have been using this Rite-Aid pharmacy for the last 10 years. Its gotten so awful lately I would rather go anywhere else in San diego than across the street from my home to this one.Prescriptions are never filled after being sent from my PCP, even if I show up 3+ days later. I have to go in person to have them start filling them and return the next day to see if they actually did it. And forgot trying to call ahead, they never pick up the phones. The pharmacy lines frequently stretch to 10+ people so Ive spent about 30-45 minutes just waiting to see if theyve done their jobs. Its so bad Ive asked my pcp, dentist, childs pediatric office and neighbors in the medical field to black-list this location for prescriptions.I am ashamed it took me so long to decide enough is enough and to never waste another second trying to give these people my money. I hope others heed my warning.In conclusionsPros:+Cons:-SLOW. I counted 6 techs working the back + 1 on register but it still took 30 minutes to clear 6 people in lime ahead of me. There were 15+ when I left enpty-handed since my prescription still wasnt ready (2 days since sent in)-Long lines at pharmacy-Perscriptions are NEVER ready same day-Second (or even 3rd) visit necessary to pick up a single perscription. Even for refills-Text RX notifications never works here since the techs never bother using it

I go here for vitamins, and my diet goods. The vitamin section is almost always full, and if it isnt they give me rain checks on the vitamins on sale or give me comparable items for the same price.

I called to find out if my prescription is ready; they put me on hold for 10 minutes. I had to call again and no one would pick up the phone and it would keep going back to the automated message. After 3 times of trying, I gave up. The service is horrible.

There is zero reason the line at a pharmacy should be thirty minutes long and even less reason for you to reach the register only to find that they didn’t even run your prescription through insurance. Each and every time a doctor calls in a prescription I have to call them 6-7 hours afterwards to even get them to work on the prescription. Management needs to take notice of the clearly numerous issues and work to remedy them.

Terrible service at the pharmacy. Not only did they make me wait in line for half an hour, once I got to the front, they told me that their pharmacy is just going on a lunch break -- AT 4 PM! They told me to come back an hour later and I have an infection so I need my antibiotics asap. They take forever to fill out an order and despite the long line, theres only one cashier out of four. I will be switching to another pharmacy.

Terrible staff. Accused me of stealing for using my own bag when they charge $ for bags. Pharmacy takes twice as long to fill and order as any other place that Ive been to, sometimes theyll keep you waiting for hours.

This is my favorite pharmacy. Even though a few years ago I moved I still get my prescriptions at this location. Krissy usually helps me, and always remembers me. That is important to me.

Staff always ready to help and with a good attitude.They have a huge selection of beer and wine.Closing time is really late.They have a thrifty icecream store inside and you can even print pictures.You can subscribe for even better discounts.I put only 4 stars since I believe they are short on staff.

I have been going there for 5 years. I have never had an issue. My prescriptions are ALWAYS ready in a reasonable amount of time. They are always friendly and accommodating. I am unsure where you all are coming from. Big lines? Never, On hold for inordinate amounts of time? Never. Waiting days for your prescription to be filled? NEVER.

While this Rite Aid is located in a beautiful area within a well-kept mall, the pharmacy functioning is below satisfactory. This Rite Aid is not my go-to store, in fact tonight was my first visit as according to the typical Rite Aid I visit for prescriptions, this location was the only one within the county that had the prescription I needed in stock due to a company shortage throughout the state. Therefore, driving 30+ minutes out of the way to obtain my prescription at this location was already a bit of a hassle but I was left without a choice. Upon arriving to the location, at a time which I thought would be a quick 5-10 min trip max from in to out of the store (around 6:45pm on a Monday evening), was surprisingly a solid 15 minute wait in line just to be helped by a pharmacy tech. Once I made it through the long line to the tech, upon requesting two orders of this medication (given the scarcity of it within the state), I was redirected to a separate counter to have another pharm tech check if my insurance would cover the cost of two dosages during one pickup, which she was able to confirm they would about a minute later. Following this confirmation, I was instructed to wait a few minutes in the waiting area for the prescription order to be adjusted in which I clarified with this tech that I would not need to wait back in the long line after already waiting a solid 15 minutes just to be directed over to this separate counter. The tech confirmed that I will not have an issue going to the front of the line upon my prescription order being ready which was a relief given how extensive this prescription pickup was becoming. However, it was not a few minutes that I waited. I actually watched over 8 additional people in line be helped as my prescription order was still not called over the loud speaker. After waiting another 20 min I finally went back up to the window with the female pharm tech and flagged down the main pharmacist to ask if my order is finally ready after waiting all this time. She informed me that she called my name over the loud speaker several times, although I was only a few feet away from the pharmacist the entire time and not once was my name called. However, there was an individual with a thick accent who mumbled over a muffled loud speaker and all that I could make out was pharmacy ready which sounded like a general store associate asking for coverage at the pharmacy counter given how busy it was there. After learning my prescription was ready, I did what the pharmacist instructed me to, I went back to the main pickup line and went in front of the people as she said I would have no problem with doing (meaning her staff should be aware of this), but instead the male pharm tech attempted to disregard me coming up to the counter after the current transaction was finished stating, those people were in line first to which I responded, the pharmacist instructed me that I did not need to re-wait in the long line that I already waited in. The pharm tech was completely uninformed of this matter and tried to argue with me regarding it with an unprofessional attitude. I really did not appreciate this as I was only doing what the pharmacist gave me permission to do. Finally, following my firmness about not having to allow the line to go before me after already waiting in it, the tech complied and finished the transaction with me...more than 45 mins later I walked out of this Rite Aid branch, ridiculous! This location gave me a very negative first impression as even though I called in early the morning of pick-up to be proactive with my prescription order in making the visit a quick and easy one, the pharmacys unprofessional functioning & disorderly management resulted in chaos for a loyal Rite Aid customer. I will not be recommending this location to any friends, family, or colleagues. However, when asked, I will be sure to mention how unprofessional & disorganized this location is and if you want to be disregarded and get the impression that youre a nuisance to the pharmacy, then this is the place to go.

The prices listed on the yellow tags never seem to be what they actually charge. Chips listed as 2/$6.00 were not factual. I was charged nearly $4 for each bag and didnt notice both times I went here.

I believe you are all out of your minds! Great pharmacy and staff. Wait times are not all that long, considering the amount of people on staff. They are fairly efficient, I guess its just a matter of perspective, as Ive used several other pharmacies that also have occasional issues. I just dont understand why people like complaining so much...maybe its just me.

Meh... The store itself is nice. Bright and well-stocked. Parking is a nightmare, but thats not the stores problem. My biggest complaint is that the pharmacy staff seems to go out of their way to not make eye contact with anyone waiting in line for service. Its as if they think if they dont look at the customers, they wont have to acknowledge that theyre even there at all. Its not that the pharmacy isnt well staffed. Its just that they dont seem in any rush to help their customers, and dont think its a problem to make them wait longer than they should have to.

This is the worst pharmacy ever! I would give a negative if I could. They never get prescription out on time. More often than not, they ha e to be called in several times, and still take days to fill. At the moment, Ive been waiting over 40 minutes for a prescription that was called in last night and was said to have been ready for pick up over 3 hours ago. Dont waste your time, and go to ANY other pharmacy.

Pretty well-stocked but short-staffed Rite-Aid. While this usually isnt a problem, sometimes when multiple people are waiting in line for the single cashier to process it all it can be a bit of a hassle.When going to the pharmacy to pick up perscriptions, it can also take a while regardless of whether or not theres a line.

Ive only recently been coming to the Del Mar area and I really like the feeling here.In the midst of a bustling shopping center is Rite Aid. This place has a constant flow of people within its doors and they come from all walks of life.I realize that this is a very affluent area of California and Im sure that the standards of service expected from the local customers are high. Ive read through some other reviews and can relate to some, while others seem very extreme in their criticism.As for my visits here, theyve all been pleasant. Everytime Ive walked in Ive been greeted from the cashier (even if they are assisting other customers).The aisles are clean and clear, with category labeling that is easy to distinguish.This store has an extensive alcohol & wine selection with various sale prices and as for food items, they have just about every knick-knack you could think of; not to mention their popular icecream cone department.There is also a self-serve health monitoring system in the rear that you can use for Free to determine your weight, bmi and blood pressure. Kind of nifty.What IS missing is store-wide customer service. Ive walked the aisles for a half an hour and never had anyone ask me if I needed assistance. Im disappointed in this, because its so crucial to the customer shopping experience.But overall, this has to be one of the best Rite Aid stores Ive visited, aside from Fallbrook.

I have been to this pharmacy twice and will never go back again. The people working at the pharmacy counter are unprofessional, unreliable, irresponsible, incompetent and rude. Give yourself a favor and do not go there to upset yourself.

I am diabetic and worst part is having to deal with these incompetent people once a month ... i need insulin to live and they just dont give a damn ... they are good at telling you the obvious like what to enter into the payment machine .... but thats it .... i hate that theyre within walking distance ... i may go to rite aid headquarters!!!!
