At the entrance to this store, there is a section devoted to upcoming holidays and celebrations - and these items give me gifts and decorating ideas. The main reason I go to this store is to use the Framing Department. I get custom mattes for my photographs. These items go to my clients or are used in photo contests, and I am always pleased with their work.

They always have the crafting products Im looking for. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The only thing that keeps me away from 5 stars is the parking lot sux. Its super small and difficult to maneuver in.

Well as far as michaels goes, this is a very well arranged store. Its sort of different than other michaels Ive frequented in other parts of town, but its very clean, and easy to find what youre looking for.However I was there looking for airbrush supplies and found none. I thought that was weird. But I always like shopping at Michaels and this trip was no different. .

Well stocked and organized. The cashier was actually nice, which is rare these days.

On March 16th, 2021 Tuesday and about 15 minutes before 9:00 P.M. closing time, I went into the Michaels store on Midway in San Diego, Ca. To buy some pencil lead and glue. Was treated with professionalism to the max. The store manager, a guy with dark hair helped me with the lead, but they did not carry the color of lead that I wanted. Helped me with the glue also. He handed me over to the cashier when he found he could not answer all of my questions. She, an ex-marine knew her stuff. She was full of a lot of craft knowledge.. Both of these people deserve a raise for their effort. Especially being close to closing time and both of them probably tired... If Michaels had employees like these in all their stores, the companies profits would soar upward. Treat your employees right, pay them well and good benefits.... They will stay with you, gain experience, and pass that on as performance in the sales of your goods and services. Thus good and healthy profits...

Store has many things... Only local place I can find a wood burning electric iron to identity my tools. Joannes has discontinued them. And I got the online 20% discount for October !

I was there after 7pm, the store was fairly empty, no crowds due to covid or online shopping. Nice to take my time and go down the aisles. Staff were very helpful, the checkout girl was very sweet.

This Michaels isnt well stocked like most other stores.

My friend Maureen asked me to go with her as she had to return a large item. She had spoken to Mariah on the phone earlier. Who was waiting by the door was Mariah with the different item. She was very helpful to Maureen.Took maybe 5 to 10 minutes to do this.

Cashier turned us down as a customer because we weren’t in the right spot to wait for a register. We had been waiting longer than the people who came and stood in the other line after us. Left very disappointed without making a purchase. Will not be returning to this Michaels location again!

Overpriced and horrible framing manager. Ordered frames and was told by 2 workers that what I asked for was doable and that my 2 frames ($170 ea) would be ready in 14 days. At the end of the 13th day (when I called -- not them calling me to update me), the frame manager made the final decision that they wouldnt fulfill my orders because they couldnt do it.She was young; rude; and snidely told me the receipt reminded me that my selection wasnt the best choice. Never returning there.

I love shopping at Michaels at many other locations. I happened to be at this location and was looking for crepe papers to decorate my motor home for the Trump celebration at shelter Island. They didnt have any or carry any just sheet type. Im sorry but I noticed this particular store was very messy. Unorganized. It was on Halloween but just seemed off. Compared to others I visit. I went to party city had everything I needed.🤩

This location has inventory problems. So many of the departments are sporadically merchandised that it looks so untidy and unkempt. My friend and I were shopping for some special pens but they only had one of the five colors we were looking for. Very disappointing.

I come in for one thing I need for a project, and always end up with extras that inspire more!

We ordered Curb Side Pick-Up. However, when we arrived at the store, we received a notice that curb side pick-up was temporarily unavailable. Reluctantly, we headed inside to pick up our item. While walking inside, I slipped on the wet sidewalk and completely wiped out in front of the store. Not one employee from inside came out to see if I was ok. I sat on the ground for several minutes and several customers stopped to ask if I was ok, but not one employee. I finally managed to get up and hobble inside where I was offered a chair (so they knew I had fallen). I asked to just please pick up our item and we left.

They were sold out of something I was looking for but they were very helpful in looking for it.

I love Michaels, but tbh this location was hard to navigate...

This Michaels store was open with curb side pickup and online services. The employees were nice and the store was clean and social distancing is in place. 😷 A mask is required !!!! There were no lines to get in the store.

I always love coming to Micheals a great selection and the staff is always super nice. Never have a problem finding anything. The line can be long but they have quite a few registers open so it doesnt take too long. Plus you meet new people in line!

Im a fan of this chain..not sure how they stay in business but this is the spot for all crafts.Ive bought supplies here to paint, draw, make candles, bought some strong 10 dollar candles, and they have fun journals and decor. So many fake flowers. So many seasonal decorations. Tons of picture frames and knitting supplies.They do a military discount which I appreciate and all of the people that work there have been able to tell me very easily what aisle to find what I need.

I sat in the car while my wife and daughter shopped. It was hot so I had to roll down the windows. They came out with some picture frames; like buy one get two free, or something.

Well I just found out that I love to draw and im turning 50 so no matter what age you are Michaels has amazing arts and crafts to drive you nuts...

Their products are cool, but it seems that nobody is able to get away from the cash registers to help people find specific items. It wasnt exceptionally busy today. No help though.

I always forget I have this location so close to me. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They have a great variety of supplies to choose from.

The gentleman working on the floor was very helpful and courteous. However both cashiers acted as if they just ran marathon s and not friendly. Yes it was Sunday and at closing, but they close at 7pm. Not like its 10pm.

The store itself is good. Not many staff to ask questions to (we went in the evening). Unfortunately they didnt have what we were looking for (paint by numbers) in store. Only online.

Michaels is crazy expensive just like Jo-Anns Fabrics its not the easiest thing to find stuff in here although I dont going very often the employees were cool I had no issues there I just feel like things cost so much it blows my mind. Feels very corporate and I miss the days of smaller shops. Also, kind of attempts to be all things to all people they have so many different types of craft items also picture frames and it makes it a little bit of a confusing experience because it lacks serious focus on any one thing for instance for sew on patches theres next to nothing and the sewing section isnt really that big.

Good choices. Lots of different arts and crafts itemz. Just about anything you can think of and more. Sewing, knitting, painting , dying clothing , wood work , painting , candles , toys , science games. All kinds of stuff. This store is fairly large for a Michaels i believe. We got some paint and wood working supplies..staff is very helpful.
