If I could rate 0 stars I would. Process of getting a vehicle was easy and effective, but at what cost? Purchased a van from these guys January 14th 2021, when we got it, it was on the lot and the van wasn’t cleaned out or anything. Let the sales person know a check engine light was on and was told to take it to Auto Zone for the light. Did just that, come to find out it has a transmission issue, and a problem with the spark plugs. Basically I am getting the warranty thrown in my face about “It’s under warranty and it’ll be fixed” at this point is just want the money I put down back and out of the deal as it costs me way more after their done with it between the rentals, and the ride shares. Being told that they basically can’t do anything else for me but fix it is very disheartening, Since they have a warranty, I may contact an attorney and see about the lemon law. Long story short, approach with caution, keep moving if you don’t NEED a vehicle. I hardly give negative reviews, but this warrants one. I’ll be going to the BBB as well. Like I said, a little help would have been nice, but being told to pay for something I can’t drive and won’t be able to for 2-3 weeks, is unacceptable.

My issue was not resolved, the warranty covers absolutely nothing. And after having to tell someone multiple times on my decision to fix my car, the problem didnt get fixed. Ill fix it myself. I figured after over paying for a car the least they would do is their job. How you consider a problem fixed with the check engine light flashing is beyond me.

I been deal with this company in San Antonio I-35 wiener road location over 10 years. Multiple cars from this company but the staffing agencies that we have now especially the management and service department is totally outrageous. The major fact of the matter is advertise reliable cars but supposed establish you better credit.. My story starts with of with four major vehicles a Pontiac Grand Prix, a Trailblazer, Altima, and a Impala. Never once had a problem with the recent department as for service department or management concerning. I I decided to buy a Chevy Impala from the same company Ive been dealing with. Here Ive been having this car a little over a 2 years now remind you I said is supposed to be reliable car here. My impala a.c actuator failed on the right side and the left side I paid for both still under warranty. Here i have multiple vehicles sitting in my driveway a total of 7 cars. I hear the AC in my car is totally turned off, no keys in ignition ,no AC running but I have allowed tapping noise coming from my dashboard at 5: 30 am in the morning. I proceeded to turn around and go back inside and get my phone record what was going on since I paid for this car to be fixed correctly. Later on that day at work I contacted service department concerning the issue. It was a major concern issue because my battery could go dead I dont know what else might would have happened concerning this deflect part. The service department told me to bring the car in and it had a defect part still the same part they out on for warranty now the issue is I have to pay for double labor. I spoke to the manager which direct me to the service department we had a talk about the situation saying I should have to pay for the labor which I told him is to deflate parts that the company order from they website. This matter should be well consider it to corporate headquarter for not satisfying customer needs

Okay so we bought a car in June and its now six months later and we had to have the CV axle,front rotors and brakes,control arms, motor mounts, transmission mounts, and a few other things already replaced. This came to a total of 800+ dollars. I dropped my car off on Tuesday and didnt get it back until Friday I missed all four days of work and guess what? The problem is still not fixed we go down the road and it shakes so horribly I have to pull off the side of the road and stop start again it stops shaking for about five miles then starts as soon as I hit 45! Really unhappy these issues should have been fixed BEFORE it was placed on the lot for sale because all those problems are noticable and not going to be going out in less than six months or even a year! Whats even worse is that car isnt worth more than 1500 and that was our down payment plus the monthly payment of 300+ nope not worth it if I didnt need to have my vehicle so badly Id give it back!

I purchased my car from the Military Drive location in SA. The staff were very polite. I had a great experience there. I live on the Northeast side of SA. I have had more car problems with this car than any other car I have owned. The location off I-35 north is horrible with customer service and repairs. I am now waiting for my insurance roadside assistance to come for my car because guess what yet again it’s having issues. I have had to get rental after rental because of this car. They don’t offer loaner cars. Honestly they always act as if it’s not a big deal that your car isn’t working properly. Yeah it’s awesome that you can get into a vehicle easily with them but what difference does it make if the car has problems?! I have complained before and of course it’s a automatic like message apologizing and saying to reach out to discuss the issue but no one is actually trying to help. They put you in a vehicle easily and then when you start having problems you’re out of luck.

If I could give negative stars I would! I am a single mother who is rebuilding credit and went to JD Byrider in search of reliable transportation and a way to inprove my credit score after my divorce. This company bamboozled me. The same day I purchased the vehicle and signed my paperwork the engine light came on and hadnt gone off in the entire 18 months and after the 12 times I put the vehicle in the shop to rectify the issue. After signing my paperwork for the car the saleswoman at the Austin, TX location (which was closed down a month after I acquired the vehicle) took the car to put gas in it and the engine light came on. She told me and the Sales Manager about the engine light and he instructed me to go to a third party to fix it. Needless to say 4 months and 3 temp tags later I was still not able to register my car because the engine light is an automatic inspection FAIL! So I contacted JD Byrider and spoke to a man named Ram who advised me that the issue would get fixed although I had already taken the car to the third party mechanic and Pep Boys 5 times already to fix the engine issue (o2 senor repair, gas cap replacement etc.) and nothing worked. Ram arranged for someone to pick up my car to get it inspected and promised me (which he now lies about claiming he never said) that he would replace the car if the engine light came back on. They kept my car for 3 weeks and got it inspected and dropped the car back off to me with the engine light STILL on. I called Ram and he dodged my calls and instructed someone else to basically tell me I was out of luck and that used cars arent perfect. This company knowingly sold me a car with severe engine issues which left me as a single mother without a vehicle for a total of almost 3 months out of the year and a half I had the vehicle. The cherry on the pie of all this is that the timing belt went out on me in December and I had to once again rent a car and be liable for my car note. After two weeks of paying $300/week for a rental car on top of my car note I was told that the mechanic Sergio did not want to replace the timing belt on an engine with over 150,000 miles on it. So I was told I would have to pay for the engine. $500 down and the other $600 later. I was without a car and drowning financially because of the rental car on top of my other bills. I paid the $500 and deferred the rest of the payment and picked up my car. One week later the engine light is back on, the engine sounds loose and everytime I turn the engine sounds like it is sliding and the temperature light comes on. The day after I borrowed the money to put a down payment on another car with a better company and left the POS car JD Byrider sold me at the dealership and instructed them to pick it up...which they still havent the car has been there for 5 days they also have the nerve to tell me everytime I call to inquire about them towing the car how this car will negatively effect my credit for the next 7 to 10 years. This company is by far the worst company you could EVER get a car from! Dont walk RUN away! Buy a car ANYWHERE ELSE I beg you! Save yourself the heartache and financial woe. I plan on filing a lawsuit against JD Byrider and if I had the spare time would stand outside for hours each day to boycott their company. CNAC is the finance company that partners with JD Byrider to get you financed and they even know JD Byrider is a joke and honestly hate the fact that they are partnered with such a disgusting company.

It’s a easy process to get a Vehicle here and Anthony is a great sales man Check him out. I purchase a Altima but AC broke down the first month and I tried to schedule a appointment to get it fixed but weren’t accepting appointments due to COVID 19 til October so I had to go through a whole summer with the car with no AC. Last month the Altima was acting up the rpm was going up and down crazy and maybe a week later it didn’t want to drive anymore so I called the dealership about my situation the lady said could I bring it in or we can provide a tow serviceI agreed the tow service and she supposedly made a call to the tow services and told me they will be picking up the car a hour or 2 hours from now and hung up with out asking about the address or information. A day goes by my car is still sitting in front of my house and I called the dealership again a different lady picks up the phone and I told her about my situation again and i can hear the same lady who I talked to the day before that telling the lady I was speaking to the lady on the phone speaking extremely rude about me because I had called again about my car being tow, the lady who I was speaking on the phone provided me the number for the tow service company so MYSELF I had to call and talk to the tow services to get the Altima towed and deliver to the dealership. I wait 2 days after the car gets to the dealership so I called and ask where’s there a update on the Altima or did ya find the main problem with the car and the same lady who was being rude told me it’s in the service line to be checked so it hasn’t been checked so I wait 2 more days and called and asked about my car if they have found the main problem same lady she told me yes we did you needed transmission fluid and that’s not covered under the warranty so I would have to pay but I told the dealership before my car got to the dealership I HAD CHANGED THE OIL AND TRANSMISSION FLUID so how would it be the transmission fluid so I just told her okay great I will call tomorrow if it’s ready or not. I called the next day now it’s a different problem I spoke to a guy name Steve this time he said we did the transmission Change but the car is still acting up so we have to dig deeper and find out what’s causing it we will call you tomorrow so again I wait and didn’t get a phone call and but I waited 3 days this time and called the dealership same lady answered the phone and told me you needed a new transmission but the part hasn’t got here yet will call you maybe in 2 days or 3 so I waited and called again she told me it’s service line ready to be repaired so I wait a couple days and called it’s still not repaired It’s been 3 weeks going to a month where I don’t got a car and I don’t have transportation to work and home they took the a payment last two Friday’s and now I have to pay again this Friday again when I haven’t been working a lot lately due to no transportation this dealership needs be more professional and be more organized and have to go by a protocol. I hope they don’t charge for the transmission fluid change either

They don’t answer the phone and at all even days at a time ( or they just have my caller ID lol ) but they also took the light out of my car in there service department then says they’re not responsible for it. Have an infant daughter and my car doesn’t even have a light in the back where she needs to be watched at night.

I am deeply disappointed in the service department. When we purchased the vehicle in mid January the programming on our Ford Escape was wrong. It said it was a Mountaineer. I contacted the service department about that and the vehicle shaking and was told to bring it back in a week or so later and I did. When I got it back it was still shaking and the programming now said something else, Montero or something. And the ignition was messed up. I called again and they said to return it. I schedule but had to cancel because this is my only form of transportation. I am a single mom with a disabled son and had to work. So I was finally able to come in and they looked at it. When they called they said the motor mounts were bad and the ignition switch was bad. It would cost close to $700 to fix. Mind you this is during the pandemic and I’ve lost my job but have kept up my payments without a deferment. None of this is covered under the warranty. And no working with me due to the mileage I’ve put on my car taking my father to his cancer treatments out of town every two weeks. Wow, I heard so much about how this place was so great and my salesman was, however, the service department is most disappointing. Like I said during this time with no job I haven’t missed my payment but no, no heart right now even during this trying time. I’ve heard of other car places helping their customers, this just isn’t one of them.
